Coffee Shop 6am-5pm
Coffee: In the same vein, our coffee products emphasize high quality local roasting and a hands-on, gourmet brewing method. We seek to provide our customers with a diverse presentation of coffee beans from local roasters. Roasting is only half the story of our product, however; a great deal of important is placed on the brewing methods at our business. We feature a hands-on brewing process, where beans are ground as close to serving as possible Events: Please see our events page to see our beer specials and upcoming events.
History
Established in 2011.
We love a good cup of coffee, Colorado’s amazing beer, and, of course, riding our bikes. The Denver Bicycle Café sprung from Peter’s head after he spent many years as one of CU Boulder’s transportation program managers. Jessica was living in Ecuador, teaching English and relaxing after graduating from DU, and Peter convinced her that his café idea was just what Denver needed. After months of «working in the cloud» with online documents and endless VoIP conversations, we were finally able to see our idea come to fruition. Over the summer of 2011 we worked to build the business, complete renovations and get the doors open. Welcome.
Meet the Business Owner
Peter R.
Business Owner
Peter has worked as a bicycle program planner and shop manager for the University of Colorado before choosing to set out to open his own business. He has been active in Colorado’s outdoors his whole life, beginning on cross country skis with his parents, and growing through the years to love mountain biking, backcountry skiing, alpine climbing and most anything else the Colorado Rockies can offer.
With his business partner and life long friend, he opened The Denver Bicycle Café in 2011 and has since enjoyed developing strong roots in the community.
With his wife he had his first child who can been seen playing with tools and spinning wheels occasionally at the café.
