Daffy Apple is the creator of the Daffy Apple caramel apple. A Daffy Apple is coated with sweet caramel and a sweet flakey crunch coating rather than nuts. Daffy Apples have been made in Colorado since 1951. Daffy Apple also makes Daffy Pop caramel corn, Daffy Apple dipping caramel and Premium gourmet caramel apples.

Established in 1951.

Daffy Apple was founded in 1951 in Illinois where an apple farmer was trying to find a use for his apple crop. After succesfully creating the Daffy Apple caramel apple He moved the business to Denver, CO and it became a franchise system in the mid 1950’s. Although the franchise system was dissolved in the mid-1970’s the orginal foundation of the business remained in Denver where it is today making the same delicious caramel apples for over 60 years. Many have tried to copy Daffy Apple over the years but the best and original is made here.

Business Owner

Phillip has owned Daffy Apple since 1995 when he purchased it from his uncle. Daffy Apple has had several owners over the last 60 years but has been in Phil’s family since 1984. Phil has a degree in management information systems from Iowa State university and a culinary arts degree from UCLA. Phillip has over 20 years experience in the food industry as a consultant, director of product development and manufacturer. His unique background in computer science, manufacturing, and culinary arts has blended together perfectly to move this company forward into the 21^st century.
