Colorado New Style is a hot new dance studio right in the Santa Fe Art District, bringing a fresh and fun environment to the area with a variety of classes. In the mornings, they have classes such as High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T) or Strength & Stretching sure to jump start your day. If you are not a morning person, you can stop by on your lunch hour for a shorter Zumba, H.I.I.T, or Strength and Stretching class that will burn a maximum amount of calories in a minimum amount of time. Evenings start off with kid’s classes in hip hop, jazz and Latin dance, followed by a range of once-​a-​week dance classes for adults in ladies and men’s salsa styling, belly dance, and capoeira with more to come.

In addition to all of these fabulous group classes, there will be trimester-​progressive dance classes in salsa and dance technique, strength and flexibility, aimed at pushing you to the next level. Private salsa dance instruction is also offered to those who desire a more one-​on-​one

History

Established in 2013.

Colorado New Style started as a Latin dance studio a year ago, Since then it has opened its doors to other styles of dance.

Meet the Business Owner

Daniel C.

Business Owner

Native of Santiago, Chile Daniel Cid moved to Murcia, Spain in 2005. He fell in love with Salsa in 2007 and started his studies at the dance school Murcia Fusion. In 2008 years he moved to Barcelona joined Adrian y Anita Amateur Dance Company with Adrian and Anita, five-​time World Champions of Salsa. In 2009 he also joined the dance company Calle Real directed by Jorge Camaguey, a company known for Cuban Timba and AfroCuban. In 2011 he joined the dance company Cachanga Poderosa directed by Franco Rocha.

Some of Daniel’s accomplishments include:

2009 he entered to two couple competitions in Barcelona with his partner Jessica García González, and placed 1st and 2nd.

2010 Adrian y Anita Amateur Dance Company competed at «Amigos por la Salsa» in Malaga, Spain where they won 1st and 4th places.

2011 they also won 1st and 3rd place in Malaga.

Thanks to these groups he attended several European congresses where he shared the stage with some of Salsa’s biggest names, like Johnny Vasquez.
