Always willing to help. They usually have everything you need, but when they didn’t have a particular chain wrench for sale — the mechanic popped my chain link for free!

These guys are the best! I had puncture protective tire liners put in 6 hrs ago (they go between the tire and the tube, protecting tube from goats head thorns, nails, glass etc), and 5 hrs ago? Major blowout. I was furious. Not at CC, but that this would happen after taking these steps… CC determined it was a defective tube (didn’t seem to be any punctures) and replaced the tube for free — even though they didn’t have any obligation to *at all*. On a customer service scale, these guys roll about an 8… on a 1 – 5 star scale. Truly take care of you as a customer! Major kudos to the service department; your desire to please is what keeps me coming back — and recommending you to others!

Super disappointed with my experience here. Just purchased my first «real» bike and maybe I should have done more research but feel like I was played a bit. Love my trek however was never told about the valves and the fact that they will be European presta valves which work with nothing I already own. I know this is not their fault but the lady who helped me afterwards was no help either just was told can’t Change the tube. The only plus is a free tune up within the year.

Not kid friendly. We have been loyal customers since moving to this part of town for more than 3 years, buying more than 4 bikes there and all accessories. We went to buy new helmets for my wife and myself, as well as a new pair of clip-​in bike shoes, and some kids bike accessories today (obviously not a small purchase). As we were trying on shoes/​helmets, our kids were playing with the strider bikes and checking out the pumps within our view. We were spoken to rudely because we were not holding our children close to us. While I get the potential risk, I have never been spoken to so rudely — especially while trying to buy things! If you have children, you would be better served at one of the other bike shops in town where they welcome repeat customers and business.

I called Campus Cycles this morning to ask about adding sealant to my tubless tires. I was told it was $ 10 per tire and I could stop by anytime – it would take about 15 minutes. I stopped by and 15 minutes later was heading back out. It’s a small task, at a reasonable price, without paperwork or a return visit. Thanks to Dan, for his quick assistance and helpful information. And thanks to the other associates who make the kind gesture of holding the door open – helpful and appreciated.

I hardly write any reviews but Campus Cycles deserves every star. I moved here recently from Los Angeles and did not have a car. It has been a full week since I bought my bike and everything has worked perfectly. Most importantly though is how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is at Campus Cycles. Thank you.

I stopped by for Ladies Night at Campus Cycles. Despite arriving a bit late and the HUGE crowds, all the employees were super friendly, patient, and kind. I was immediately greeted upon coming in and assisted with check in, even through a thick crowd.
While I didn’t get a «normal» shop experience because of the special event, I will say the selection of accessories, bikes, and services offered is extensive. I will be back very soon for a helmet and to do some window shopping for my next set of wheels!

Great service. I’d been worrying about a peddling noise for a few weeks, so I took it in thinking I’d have to leave it there for a while. The service tech put it on a rack and diagnosed and fixed the issue in 5 minutes, no charge.

These guys are great — had us in and out flat fixed in less than 10 minutes.

Went in to browse, left with two super sweet cruisers to coast me to the nearest watering hole like a boss! Great customer service… Highly Knowledgeable… Good atmoshpere… BIKES!!! Visited almost every bike shop in the hood and this seemed to be the most reasonable in price, and least pretentious. Remember… you can still get a B.U.I… It’s just even more pathetic!

Absolutely the best experience I have ever had at a bike shop. Friendly, helpful, fast, and the staff goes above and beyond.

I LOVE this shop. Always greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Very knowledgable staff and not pushy on sales. Quick maintenance turn time and quality service to match. Serious kudos to this shop and highly recommended.

Campus Cycles delivers great customer service with a small business feel. It’s refreshing to be treated well in a retail environment. Low pressure, tons of knowledge, great people skills, and competitive prices. Nobody wants to read a novel on Unilocal,but they went well beyond any of our expectations. They have earned my business and my family will be shopping there as well.

The answer is simple: *service*.
They are not the biggest bike store in town — but they are sizable.
They are not the cheapest bike store in town — but you have to pay *something* for quality.
In selection and price, I could give them 4 stars and not blink feeling like I’d compromised anything; they have a great selection of quality bike brands and accessories/​clothing.
But these people hammer home the «service» aspect. Every. Damn. TIme. I’m. There.
Even on obnoxious visits, like dealing with glass punctures or those accursed devil thorns. They’ve got it all here: kids, women’s, men’s; small, med, large, XL, XXL; CroMoly, aluminum, carbon, I think they even have a few titaniums — all varieties of tires, a huge assortment of clothing and an excellent range of accessories. Pro tip: their Blackburn front/​tail LED lights are only $ 15 a piece and well worth it.
I’ve been graced with super cheap inner tubes when I was practically broke and had flats.
I’ve had 1 defective item replaced as «under warranty» — even though I’m pretty sure I’d purchased it over a year previously. They have bike care seminars and information to grab to plan out your bike rides. For *me*, the journey started picking up a $ 1900 «entry-​level» Giant 3 carbon bike for $ 1500 in 2013 — and it serves me faithfully.
Denver is blessed with a number of truly awesome bike shops that cater to the enthusiast; I can’t tell you whether Campus is the best of that lot or not vs Salvagetti, BikeSource, Turin etc — but I don’t see any reason to go anywhere else. They aren’t «abusive» with their prices here; they don’t try and wedge you into a bike sale that you really aren’t enthused about [I’m looking at you from 2013, Velosoul], and they are always helpful and smiling. I’m truly baffled I don’t have an older review here yet as I was crazy flipping head-​over-​heels thrilled with my bike purchase 2 years ago –but so be it: this review is more up to date and «veteran» as I’ve had multiple visits here. These people are champs.
Pro tip and mega bonus: If you buy a bike here? Free tuneups for a year. That’s *serious* value, especially if you don’t carry a set of tools yourself or are savvy about tweaking things.
Their tuneups start at $ 75. So if you figure on 3 tuneups per biking year (reasonable), you’re getting a bonus $ 225. If you really want to abuse it and double that, that’s $ 450. Also, 15% off all accessories (I think clothing too). It’s a truly amazing package deal — I don’t know of other bike shops that’ll do that.

Brought my teenage daughter’s bike in to get it up an running for college. It was real rusty and needed a bunch of adjustments. Matt did the work while I waited. Took about 30 minutes, while I perused the store. Excellent job at a very reasonable price. While perusing, employees were helpful and very friendly, yet not at all pushy. Highly recommend these guys!

The staff and selection are fantastic. Karen is an amazing salesperson — very knowledgable, personable, helpful and patient. Really knows her stuff, takes the time to be sure you get exactly what you want. Karen is a wonderful example of what customer service should be.

New to cycling, both my wife and I. We walked out with two bikes we feel were fairly priced and happy. Fairly priced in the truest sense of the phrase. Being new, we just didn’t want to overpay or buy something in two weeks we would regret. Michael — the salesman– is a quiet but articulate fellow and uses no sales technique. The dude is just knowledgeable. That’s exactly what I was looking for — someone to help me without all the «fake».We were with him for about one hour. before we made a decision to purchase.
Well, then a bad experience happened. We walked out and two hours later the front tire popped on one bike and the store was already closed. I went in the next day– bike still in car– without the receipt and I told him what happened. He stopped what he was doing and fixed it on the spot. I was prepared to leave it since there was a line of people waiting. I felt bad but I was impressed with the attentiveness of Michael. He is the reflection of the store, so the store gets a WOOHOO!

I dropped a bike off for a tune-​up today at campus cycles. Three weeks ago I bought a brand-​new bike from campus cycles from Karen, and she was very helpful. I really like my new bike. Karen was not in today so a young man by the name of Weston helped me out. I wanted a pair of biking shorts and he was so helpful explaining how everything worked, sizes, padding and was very patient with me. He had me try some on and sit on two bikes. His service was fantastic! I would definitely go back, in fact, anytime I need something I’ll be calling up Westin personally! Thank you Westin for a job well done!!!

I stopped in to ask about having my brake pads replaced. The guy at the service desk was so nice (I wish I had gotten his name — my receipt says RB) — told me I just needed my front ones tightened and showed me options for replacing the rear. Did it while I waited. Then he just pointed out some other stuff that needs work (which I sort of knew since I haven’t had it worked on in way too long).
I really appreciated the great service and consideration! This is where I will be going from now on!

I ve been real happy with the service dept this season. I broke a shifter and they told me it would take a 5 days (high season!). I called on day 4 and they still hadn’t received the part from sram warantee yet. They went out and got one and got me back on the bike on day 5.
Kudos to you campus and to sram for going above and beyond.

Very nice and helpful staff! Specially Paul. He patiently showed me all options in the price range I had in mind without putting any pressure on me to buy. I checked prices on the web and found their prices cheaper than everywhere else.
I am really satisfied with my bike. When you buy your bike from here, you can get %10 off for all accessories up to 12 months and they tune your bike for free!

Great cycle shop! I recently had two bikes tuned up and reassembled after an international move. I had honestly given up on both bikes due to them being abused so badly during the move. They were filthy and literally in pieces, not to mention the tires were flat.
Jeff helped me get them both up and running and SPARKLING! In no time, both bikes were in and out, and they even helped me load the bikes in my car. I can’t wait to get on them– This bike shop does everything, from fancy road bikes, high performance mountain bikes, and KID’s bikes galore! They also have a nice crop of cruisers, and all the accessories and services you need. Plus, the staff is super friendly!

I’m torn, like an old bike tire, and here is the rub: I’ve only been to the shop three times, and although I had good experiences the first two times when I bought a couple of parts, my last experience was like a chafing bike seat, quite irritating. I had a flat on my old three– speed and I had no tools or tubes with me (I understand that this is a rookie mistake, but nonetheless.) I had them replace the tube, and then, they rang me up. And that was the beginning of my discomfort — $ 23. I am aware that they are accustomed to DU students and the WASP Park crowd that treat dollars like pesos, but c’mon, I should have called a tow truck because it would have had a lower rate. To make matters worse, the mechanic failed to tighten my lugs enough, so my tire moved causing my chain to slip for the five mile ride home. The only reason I’m not giving it fewer stars is that everyone has always been rather friendly there, but the entire experience definitely tainted how I feel about the place.

Easily my favorite bike shop in town. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Every time I go in I am treated great. Service guys are great too. No other shop will ever touch my ride. 5 stars!!!

These guys and gals know whats up. When the guy selling me a bike has a tattoo of a crank I know this place is legit. Great service on anything brought here. Replaced my rear shock on a 2 year old Giant Trance for nothing! Seriously the best bike shop in Denver, and I visited them all. Hard to go away from here./

Totally crushing on this place right now. Excellent service and great products. As a newbie biker who should probably read something like «Biking for Dummies» I can’t be thankful enough that campus cycles is close to home. I’ll be taking all my bike needs here.

Had a great first time experience at Campus Cycles. The seat of my bike had become floppy and disconnected from the pipe it sits on — I knew I couldn’t fix it, so I looked them up and went in. I was helped immediately and a nice gentleman re-​attached everything correctly and leveled it out for $ 5. I appreciated the promptness and professionalism of the employees, and the man I was working with definitely knew what he was doing. It certainly didn’t go unnoticed, and I would go back again for other bike issues! They also have lots of high quality equipment for sale — Continental tires, special bike tuning equipment, etc.

After 3 weekends of looking for the perfect bike and dealing with other bike shops that were not that customer friendly — I found Campus Cycles. Michael first listened to what my needs, likes and dislikes were and then put me on the perfect bike. All the staff were friendly even though it was crazy busy and they were short staffed due to events. Other «well known» shops never gave the personal service Campus Cycles did. I am new to cycling and they were patient and answered all my questions. Michael even helped me put the bike rack on my car and secured my bike for me. Awesome service, it was well worth the drive. Thank you!

At first, Campus Cycles seems to be in an odd location for a bike shop — that is, just off a busy four lane road. But it’s adjacent to a quiet neighborhood that actually makes a perfect location for test riding bikes.
And just as you’d expect from a cozy neighborhood bike shop, Dan opened the door for me as I entered the store and proceeded to assist me and answer all of my questions about the Trek 7.3 FX WSD. He was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. After a short consultation, I was riding the bike around the aforementioned neighborhood and that’s where I fell in love with the Trek 7.3. The bike is leaps and bounds more sleek and comfortable than my clunky old bike. It didn’t take me long to figure out that this was the bike for me.
Alas, such a smooth ride comes at a premium and this bike was outside of my price range. Dan suggested that maybe I could downgrade to a Trek 7.2 and add some of the gel ergonomic grips I adored. Since I didn’t want to settle for less than the exact bike I wanted, I decided to keep shopping around and I was able to find the bike on sale at a different store.
Although I wasn’t able to make a bike purchase at Campus Cycles, I will not hesitate to go back for accessories. I highly encourage you to pay them a visit as well.

I visited four bike shops this spring in search of the perfect Cruiser bike to get me through the summer and beyond. Campus Cycles was the first and last stop on my journey.
The staff was very helpful and they had a good selection of bikes to try out. I found a bike I liked, but I wanted a different version. They had it on order already, so a few days later I went back in to pick up my shiny new Electra Cruiser.
They offer a discount on accessories to people who buy a new bike there and have a fun and knowledgeable staff. They made buying a new bike fun, easy, and exciting for me.

I’m completely enamored with this store. I was bike shopping and the first bike that I wanted to look at was a Trek hybrid bike. I’d been haunting the Trek bicycle site for a few weeks and finally decided on the type of bike that I thought I would like. As Campus Cycles was nearby and I wanted to support a local bike shop, rather than a large bike store, I decided to stop in at Campus Cycles one night after work. I stopped in on a Wednesday evening and wandered about the store for a few minutes perusing the selection.
Within a few minutes, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. As I told the salesperson what I was looking for, we chatted about selection and what I needed the bicycle for and he took me to the right section of the store for the type of bike I was looking for. Then as we got deeper into conversation, he asked another associate to come over and help me and then told me that he needed to attend a meeting, but that there was another person to help me.
Laura was my sales associate and she was a godsend. So friendly and helpful, we immediately clicked. She gave me lots of useful information and then I took a test ride. I was in love immediately. I knew I loved the Trek, but it was the most costly of all the bikes I looked at. It was still within my range, but I like to save a buck or two if possible, ya know? So I left that day, with a bike memory, but decided to continue looking and then if this was the best bike, I would come back to it.
After having less than satisfactory shopping experiences at REI and Bike Source, I knew that the Trek bike was my destiny and I hurriedly rushed back to Campus Cycles (on my second visit) on a Saturday, apparently an half hour before they closed. I came in, asked for the specific bike (Trek 7.3FX) and they asked my size for the bike and then pointed me to it. The person helping me remembered that Laura had helped me previously and then that person sent Laura back over to assist me. I told Laura a little bit of my troubles and that I was ready to buy the bike. She checked the settings for fit and height again for me, and the bike was mine.
Then the fun began with shopping for accessories! There were a plethora of accessories and necessities. I didn’t have to have a bike jersey, but wearing one is definitely more pleasurable than not. I’ve been happy with everything I purchased, except for a phone stand mounted to my bike and I was able to return that with no problem.

I am so happy and ecstatic about my bicycle, I just love it. A large part of that is due to my satisfaction with the service I received at Campus Cycles.
