Description

Specialties

Our store philosophy: Campus Cycles is a fun, friendly, professional store that is large enough to meet all of your needs, yet small enough to remember your name. We accomplish this by greeting each customer with a smile, listening and matching the person to the product they desire. Our team is knowledgeable, friendly, fun and willing to go out of our way to please the customer. We aim to do this better than anyone else.

History

Established in 1992.

Campus Cycles Inc. began in November of 1992 when Greg and Mary purchased what was then known as Campus Bike Shop. Since 1992 Campus Cycles has become a full service cycling store that carries a full line of products and services to fill the needs of all levels of cyclists. In the fall of 1999 Campus Cycles moved to it’s current location on the corner of Washington and Evans.

Meet the Business Owner

Mark and Bobby V.

Business Owner

Campus Cycles owners Mark Velat and Bobby Verenna grew up in the cycling world. Mark has been riding and racing for more than 30 years now, and Bobby broke into the retail end back in sixth grade. At their shop, patrons reap the rewards of their expertise when shopping from shelves of sturdy bikes and gear from brands such as Trek, Giant, Cannondale, and Electra, in addition to children’s two-wheelers and tricycles. The service department’s technicians recalibrate bikes with tune-ups, and fit specialists match individuals with the ideal cycle. Patrons can also visit on demo days when big-name manufacturers show off their latest products and let riders take them out for test-drives on nearby mountain trails or paved roads. Meanwhile, the store’s Get to Know Your Bike classes give riders basic repair and maintenance skills so they can remedy minor damage incurred when tires pop on fiberglass banana peels littering the road
