Established in 1982.

After years as an attorney with Metro Denver Legal Aid [now Colorado Legal Services], with the Colorado Attorney’s General Office, and as Executive Director of the Legal Center For Disabled Persons [ now Legal Center for Disabled and Elderly Persons], I opened my own office for the practice of law in the areas of law in which I had specific experience.

I graduated with Honors from the University of Denver College of Law. I worked several years as a student-​attorney while in law school at Metro Denver Legal Aid, and was employed with them for 3 years. I left there and worked several years for the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. I was then appointed as Executive Director of the Legal Center For Disabled Persons. In 1982, I opened my own law practice. The next year I was appointed as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee, a position I held for about 12 years. I also have 20 years experience as an on-​call Special Education Hearing Officer for the Colorado Department of Education. Over the years, I have no only practiced law, but have also taught lawyers, lay person and judges in the fields of bankruptcy law, disability law and family law. I am the author of many professional articles in those fields.
