I have been coming to Blondies for over a year. The salon is always bustling with stylists and customers alike. My stylist, Toni, is phenomenal. I have VERY thick hair and I like to play with different colors. At this point I come in with an idea and let her run with it. I have never had a stylist that I trust as much as Toni. She is pleasant and sweet to talk to while I am in the chair as well. If you have thick hair, I highly recommend her. :)
It is a bit difficult to get through to the receptionist at times, but they always call back if you leave a message. Parking is better now that they have an attendant.

I have been highlighting my hair for the past 12 years and have been to literally every salon in Denver, however all of them left me disappointed in one way or another. This all came to an end once I stepped into Blondies The Beauty Shop, I was impressed right off hand, the salon is gorgeous the level of service is excellent and the BEST OF ALL is *GINA*. Gina is a hair GOD she is amazingly educated on all the upcoming trends and all the innovations with color. She is the only person I have ever fully trusted with my hair, she is extremely professional and knows exactly how each color and toner would come out as… AND THAT IS AMAZING. I would recommend Gina to everyone she is truly a master in this field, she can get you any results that you would desire with great input on what would work best for you. I’m truly blessed that I have found her, my hair used to be so weak because other stylists in other salons would over bleach it and it kept breaking, however after Gina has developed a specific treatment routine for me, my hair is down to my waist now and as thick as it once was (when uncolored). Both my mom and sister are going to her now as well to get their hair done and they love her work as much as I do. Trust me, GINA will put an end to all your hair drama.

This place may cut hair well, but the owners are rude, drunk AND incompetent… they never keep employees long, especially in their low grade spa. one of the owners, an older lady named Gina, cuts hair drunk as a skunk off the free champagne they give to customers and talks down to her employees. They over charge for services, add on services without telling clients, especially the stylish Gwen does this, and the rest of the staff is mediocre AT BEST!!! DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

My experience with this salon has not been great. The first time I went I felt I was being pitched to buy multiple products and to color my hair the entire visit. I have been going gray now for the past 8 months and outside of this salon, I get compliments on how pretty it is and how becoming my natural color is on me. Not here. The first time my new stylist, Gwen, took a look at my hair, she started pitching me on color solutions. I did not ask about color but was made to feel super uncomfortable about my hair color choice. I know that color service is a big up sell in most salons because of the maintenance issue and repeat color services needed to maintain it. Although, I kept turning her down on the color question, she decided to pitch me on doing a gray color service to even out my changing hair color. I declined. The entire visit was very uncomfortable for me. When I washed my hair the next day, the blunt cut was uneven and you could see that the hair on one side of my head was cut a little longer. My boyfriend joked that it must be all the rage to wear it that way. I laughed it off and it eventually grew out over the next 6 weeks.
For some stupid reason, I decided to give it another go at this salon and with Gwen. When I arrived her shampoo assistant greeted me in a very friendly manner which was nice. She lead me over to the shampoo bowl and I was concerned that Gwen would not even get to see my dry hair before cutting it again. I saw Gwen before my hair got wet and shared with her that the last cut did not match the hair’s length on both sides of my head and that this time can she be more careful. She agreed. Once my hair was shampooed and I was in the chair she promised that if I was not pleased, I could come back to have her fix it for free. That was nice. I then explained to her that I am not big on blow drying my hair into big hair, poofy styles. I am a more easy care, low maintenance blunt cut style gal. Of course, I will blow dry my hair but I will not spend 30 minutes or more hot and cold blow drying it every morning. After this conversation, Gwen, pulled out her iPad and proceeded to ask me about what celebrity’s hair I want mine to look like. I told her I like a simple, blunt cut that is even on both sides of my head. I am not difficult but I was treated like a little child in the chair. Instead of cutting my hair wet, she proceeds to put volumizer in it and telling me I need this product to make my hair fuller-​product pushing again when I did not ask about the product. She blow dried my hair and then cut it. I have never had anyone dry my hair and then cut it. I thought the whole point of washing it is so the stylist can get a good cut and make it come out even. At the end of the appointment after not engaging me in conversation at all or making me feel special, I was escorted to the front desk and told that I can choose any stylist because they don’t want me to feel bad or uncomfortable if I want to come back. I was not asked to book another appointment like my last visit. I paid my bill and tipped $ 10.00 for a total haircut cost of $ 75.00. It was an awful experience and I will be shopping around for a new stylist who is friendly and wants to make this a fun experience. This is the first time I have cried since leaving a hair salon since I was 15. If you want color and a great blow dry this is probably the salon for you. If you are looking for a nice conversation, a fun salon experience and a stylist who cares that you leave happy and pretty, I don’t recommend this salon.

The follow-​up email after your visit has become a standard. When you report issues, you would expect someone to respond. That didn’t happen. On the day of my appointment I couldn’t even reach them by phone when I was running late for my appointment. I tried calling 4 times during a 7 minute period, several minutes apart. Nothing but voicemail each time. Upon arrival I found no parking in the lot, and I remember several warnings to not park in the wrong spot, which might end up with a tow.
This was my third visit. My first cut was good, but my hair was too long. The complimentary trim was a great but not quite the style I wanted (easy to fix). The real issue was during a coloring on my third visit. After around 20 minutes, when it came time to rinse, all sinks were in use except one. I had to wait over 5 minutes to get to the bowls. After finishing, my hair turned out way too dark. I was not happy, but I was assured it was good. I voiced my concerns in the feedback form they requested from their email, but, as mentioned, no response.
Some respect for my concerns might have kept me as a customer, but with all the places out there, why go through the hassles. It doesn’t seem anyone really cares.
The real kicker was receiving an email asking to help out by leaving a review on Google+. Well, here’s the review your email campaign asked for.

I chose Blondies based off of some recommendations from friends and clients. The last salon that I had been to was the worst experience of my life. I have always had highlights and decided to try Ombré in February. I really disliked it and when she went to put highlights back in a month and a half later, my hair was coming out in clumps afterwards.
After this terrible experience, I let me hair grow out a little over 2 inches. Half of the reason for letting my hair grow out was because of fear of losing more hair when I went to dye it again and half because I wanted to let it get healthier. I went to Yolanda (at Blondie’s) in August for a cut and I loved what she did. She even recommended toner to even out the line that separated my growth and my blonde highlights to give me more time to let it grow.
I went in for highlights with Yolanda last Friday and I was literally terrified (this may sound dramatic, but try losing nearly 4 inches of your hair from breakage and having your hair come out in clumps and you would be terrified too). Yolanda did such an AMAZING job touching up my highlights and evening out the color. She was so enjoyable and time efficient with the highlights. I truly enjoyed working with her. I literally cried at the end of my appointment because my hair felt so much better than it had in months and it LOOKED so much better! And even better: the price was beyond reasonable.
Thank you to Yolanda for doing such a great job and thank you to Blondie’s for having her on staff! I will definitely be back.

This place is great! I love coming here on Saturdays to get a blow out and style for the weekend. It takes the stress off of me and glams me up that little extra! I like everyone here. Taylor, if she has time is my fav. They usually run on time, and have me in and out in an hour.

Keiani is an exceptional stylist. Not only did she give the best cut and color I’ve ever had, she is a genius at telling me how to achieve her results. She should have a TV show teaching styling.
My 9 yr old granddaughter, Kiki thinks she is fabulous, too.

Danielle did a great job cutting highlighting and perming my hair. I will definitely be back and recommend her to my friends

First time here and I have to say I am very impressed! There’s only two salons in all of Denver that use Kuene hair color and Kaylee did my hair for the very first time and it turned out perfect! It’s always scary when you move to a new town and have to find a new colorist, so I am so glad I came here! The staff was super nice and friendly too! A+++

Jess is my regular stylist. She’s sweet and easy to chat with… And actually listens and can interpret my hair dreams. It’s always busy here, so get an appointment as soon as you’re interested in stopping in. Be prepared to be amazed and pampered. If you and your stylist don’t click, talk to the front desk and they’ll make a suggestion (perk of there being so many stylists!)

I have tricky hair. I know this: fine, but with a natural wave. I believe an amazing hairstylist is an artist with a palette that grows back, and in my 20s I tried nearly every shade between platinum, red, blonde, brown and even black. Along the way, though, I learned that certain things are terrible in my hair. And I also learned that it doesn’t matter whether a salon is expensive or reasonable, hip or chill –if a stylist won’t listen to just those couple of things, there’s no point in staying.
I found Blondies through a combination of referrals, reviews and friends. I was giving a TED talk and needed head shots — and everyone I’d seen coming out of Blondies looked awesome. I couldn’t get in to see my friend’s stylist, and decided to take a gamble on Keiani, a junior stylist.
I was wowed. Blondies trains its junior stylists alongside its veterans, and it shows. I got a four-​color highlight that would have cost me triple anywhere else. Keiani listened to what I wanted (and what my hair won’t do) and then she just did her thing. Plus she’s super fun.
The salon has a nice vibe, too — nice, but not pretentious. Their blow-​out is A Thing. It lasts.
I haven’t seen my natural color in years, but I’m pretty sure I’m a dirty blonde, now with a few sparkly greys. The world may never know, though, because with any luck I can keep going to Blondies as long as I’m in Denver. And you should, too.

Wow, literally I am so pleased with the service, experience and quality I have received at Blondies. First of all, my shampoo was amazing and a deep conditioner was included in my cut. Next, Alexandria listened to me and gave me the best haircut I have ever received. My hair is about shoulder length and was lacking styling before she was done with it. This is huge– I am in the beauty industry and trust me a «good» haircut is hard to come by… This was by far the best haircut I have ever received. Alexandria is also incredible at blow drying my hair and styling. I can’t wait to go back!

I always get a CONSISTENT and fantastic highlight and cut with Chieko. She is one of their Sr. stylists. She is AMAZING! I cannot speak highly enough of this woman. So friendly and easy to talk to. You tell her what you want and she gives it every time. Now that makes this Texas woman realllly happy!!!
You marry your hair stylist. I’m not just dating Blondies casually. We are in this for the LONG HAUL.
Blondies is such a fun and energetic place to be as well. YOU KNOW the salon is GREAT when it’s always busy. and this place IS ALWAYS happening! Everyone that works there is GORGEOUS btw. I am stunned at the stunning beauty’s doing hair. It’s an oasis of beauty, precision, and happiness! I leave feeling incredible and always satisfied. They use Kerastase products. Lil pricey but it’s worth it. You want your hair to play nice nice in the dryness. YOU NEED to pay a lil extra.
Front desk staff always friendly and professional too. They are so cool and relaxed amidst the constant flow at Blondies. I have to sched my appts a month in advance to get in. Yeah. Chieko is that freakin GREAT!
Not all the stylists are a month wait. They will work it out and get you in.

New to the city and chose Blondies from their Unilocal reviews and was very impressed. Going to a new stylist is always scary but Caitlin did a great job at asking the right questions and I even got a «wow, you look great» when I walked through my front door. And her assistant Zack couldn’t be cuter or more helpful. Overall great experience.

I absolutely LOVE this salon & KAYLEIGH!!! My appointment always begins on time, the people are so kind & accommodating & of course, Kayleigh is fantastic!!! I only trust two people with my hair, ME & my stylist back home in Florida (she did my hair for over 10 years) So when I moved to Denver I just decided to do my own color until my gf told me about Kayleigh at Blondies! I was hesitant at first, so I just went to her for blowouts until I was comfortable with her. It was the best decision EVER, she not only does my blonde PERFECT, she is getting my hair back to being healthy! Kayleigh is just wonderful at what she does, not to mention her prices are great & she’s fun to be around! Ohhh & her blowouts are out of this world!!! She can make your hair look full & beautiful, hence why I go weekly for blowouts!

This is a great salon, the BEST! I do not give 5 stars lightly! There are a few hassles, but honestly no place better for your hair! You WILL walk out looking like a million bucks. FABULOUS! Every time.
I have been coming to Blondies for over 10 years. While I’ve had my favorite stylists, everyone I have gone to has (mostly) knocked it out of the park. The owners/​managers have created a really great concept with this store; it is well managed, the girls actually like each other, and everyone works as a team. It is OK to see different people, move around to different stylists– they want you to! no one gets mad or holds grudges.
Highlights are a speciality and all the stylists are equipped to give you multi-​highlights or low lights in lots of gorgeous colors. The process takes a while– You will be in there 3 hours for highlight, a wash, cut, and blow dry. The results are always amazing.
My daughter was pleased recently with her Brazilian Blow Out, and there are extensions, Ombres, updoes and all sorts of hair stuff going on in this place. It bustles!
My only caveat is to ask for someone who is good with your particular hair color, effect, or cut: I am blonde and have found Chieko, Gina, Katelyn, and Lonnie to ROCK the Blonde! For Brunette, you might try Gwen or Peggy. Long hair: Gwen. I have also gone RED in this store: Peggy and Gina were great with that drastic change!
Appointments are key– allow at least 2 – 3 weeks to get in.

Every time I visit, I love this place more. You’ve got to check it out, even if you’re a dude.
All the stylisys are highly experienced and take care in your needs. They have soooo many other services than just hair too!
