History
Established in 1986.
Bayou Bob was born and raised in the bayous of southern Louisiana. The small town of Morgan City was and still is predominantly an oil field based town. In the mid 80’s the business went downhill and Bob packed up his family and moved to Colorado. With a little restaurant experience under his belt, he saw a lack of true cajun restaurants in Denver. Bayou Bob decided to open in a food court in 1986 under the name Cajun Cookin’. In 1991 he opened up a full service restaurant on 17th Street. Upon the announcement of the building being demolished, he relocated around the corner onto Glenarm between 16th Street Mall and 17th Street. Here we are!

Business Owner
Bob was born and raised in Morgan City, Louisiana. He and his family moved up to Denver in 1986. Starting off in a food court, the food quickly gained popularity. When the building was shut down, Bob moved into the full service swing. He has built his menu over time, allowing each item to be perfected. Holding true to his Cajun roots, Bob cooks everything from scratch. With his many proprietary blends of spices, homemade marinades and batters, nothing is ever fried, blackened, grilled or broiled until you order it.
