I wish I would have read reviews. I have been tanning forever. Tanned everywhere. I have mystery shopped these places too. Clearly hasn’t helped. I told her I didn’t have my license from the start. She wasted 20 minutes, made me wait and then wouldn’t let me tan w/o my license. Go to Palms. I should never have ventured away from them. Even Darque Tan(not my fav) is way better!

Beware of the lying, cunning sales rep named Maria… you will get enticed by the flag waivers on the street about a great special, you’ll go in the store and state, I only need a couple visits to get a base for my vacation. Maria, as she has been trained will she will knowingly lie saying the best price is a month to month cancelable anytime membership. You then sign this little pad and after you ask to be cancelled you start getting reoccurring invoices saying you a new member. You then ask Maria what dis you sign me up for, she then acts if she didn’t do anything wrong and says, «the train me to say this stuff» an to call customer service. So you do, then customer service supervisor Amanda laughs stating your in a contract and it will be $ 285 to cancel, got ya! Horrible business model that has been addressed by the Colorado Attorney General. DONTGOHERE, DON’T GETLIEDTO!

.ever. Can we give 0 stars? I don’t know how yet. Ok, so I don’t know anyone who hasn’t fallen into some tanning contract scheme because of a pushy gay sales guy with a spray tan and shark tooth necklace. Actually maybe that’s just me, and it’s embarrassing, but this place is the mistake that keeps on mistake-ing, so heed my warning, DONOTSIGN A CONTRACTWITHTHISPLACE! The last two years have been me battling with ridiculously incompetent and childish sunburn victims who can’t file a simple change of address or direct payment form. At the Beach has caused me to overdraft on my account, sent me to a collections agency, and failed to cancel my expired contract(all after sales people guaranteed me time and time again that none of these things would happen because I filled out the proper paperwork) They’re also overpriced, not the only game in town, and soulless commission hungry cancer pushers. On a positive note, I enjoy the smell of coconut.

Every single time I walk in to this location(I’ve been tanning here for a year) I get solicited to buy lotion. They will even ask what type of lotion I’m using and try to «upsell». They are so pushy. If you say no, they actually get kind of annoyed. Do not ever sign their contracts! You can’t get out of it unless you move within 25 minutes of an At the Beach location AND if you do move, here are the 3 things you must do(just spoke to the corporate office). 1. $ 75 cancellation fee! Yep, that’s right! That’s how they get ya. 2. Copy of new drivers license with new address. 3. Send in copies of 3 different address change mail(no junk mail) So by the time you get all the above taken care of, it has probably been a month or more anyway so you are losing the month you’ve paid for and then the $ 75 cancellation fee. That’s basically 2 months wasted right there. Save your time, money, and inconvenience and don’t sign their contract!!! I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know not to either. Spread the word.
