At Associates in Eyecare we specialize in all aspects of care for your eyes. We do routine exams for glasses and contact lenses, see patients for all ophthalmic issues and perform many ophthalmic surgeries including LASIK/​PRK, cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, eyelid surgery and corneal surgery. For patients with urgent issues, we can usually accommodate you the same day.

Meet the Business Owner

Stuart F.

Business Owner

Stuart Frankel, MD founded the Associates in Eyecare in 1977. He is a third generation native Denverite with a continuing commitment to providing his patients with the best ocular care possible. He received his undergraduate education at Northwestern University and at the University of Colorado where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude. He continued his education at the University of Colorado School of Medicine graduating cum laude in 1973. Dr. Frankel completed his internship at Scripps-​Mercy Medical Center in San Diego, and returned to the University of Colorado for his residency in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Frankel is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado and is a member of the active staff of Rose Medical Center. Dr. Frankel has twice been named a Top Doc by 5280 Magazine.
