Allie’s American Grille

This place is no longer. They’ve reopened a new restaurant in the same location under a new name.

Service was very friendly. Food was acceptable and plentiful (burger was as big as my head, as was the fry basket). Pricey burger, but it’s a hotel.

We work in the office building across the street, and we were all a little surprised when the birthday girl chose this restaurant (which is in the Marriott’s «basement») for her lunch celebration. Well, weren’t we all pleasantly surprised! Our party of 9 was treated well, we had our own little side area so we were able to spread out comfortably and talk not-​so-​quietly. Service was sunny and efficient, and our server handled all our special orders easily. Our food arrived quickly (and correctly!). Most folks got burgers with very yummy fries on the side, and the salads were good too. The sodas/​iced teas were bottom-​less and refills seemed to arrive automatically. The birthday girl got a free mini cheesecake (with 8 extra spoons so we could all sample!). When the bill came, we were all surprised at how affordable it was. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience!

They offer what you would expect from a class-​act establishment like the Marriott Denver. I agree with A.J., I enjoy their buffet. It gives options that you actually want, not just random types of food. Great salad bar. Their menu also offers well thought-​out options and the quality of the food meets/​exceeds expectations.
It is usually a nice, quiet atmosphere. It is only a block away from the beaten path (16^th street mall), and is tucked away inside the Marriott itself. The service is quick, polite, and overall it is a place that I enjoy when I need to remove myself from the chaotic downtown hustle.

Every day during the week they have a great lunch buffet that includes a full salad/​deli bar and usually some interesting hot entrees. Pasta, meat, noodles, rice, that sort of thing.
A great lunch if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to deal with crowds. I guess no one knows about this place.
