Never do business here… I was trying to schedule groupons that a small group of friends purchased and was treated so amazingly rude… the uneducated customer service person answering the phone treated a paying customer the worst I’ve ever been treated and then hung up on me… my friends and I spent 700 dollars to try to do a class and they would not work with us at all… groupon will give my money back or my credit card company… worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with… stay away from this business period…

My wife and I had such a great time with Agnes. We combined glass color on our wedding day for our unity symbol then got it made in to a small container to put wine in and two stemless goblets.
We were so impressed with the service we revived. We also got to participate in creating our symbol far more than we ever expected. Overall we had an exceptional experience.
We are already planning to go back and make a new piece for each child we have.
This was such a special way to always remember the vows we made that day!

Wonderful class. Agnes shows a lot of different techniques and the class structure allows you to learn from watching other students as well. I had only seen glass blowing at ren fairs and the like, and Agnes is on a whole different level.
So here’s the deal. Book directly with Agnes. You get the same price and all the money goes in the artist’s pocket. You know exactly when your class is and what to expect. I’ll agree that prices are kind of high even with the deals available. I’d love to be a repeat student but it’s cost prohibitive at $ 90 and up per session.
Overall, this is an experience worth having. Agnes is an amazing artist and her passion really shines through. She’s inspiring and interesting. I plan on returning.

I read through all the reviews and I can’t argue with the fact that this place is not very professional in terms of business hours, booking spots, picking up your pieces, etc. However, if you look past all that, remember you’re dealing with an artist, and just focus on the glass blowing experience itself you will be blown away (no pun intended). Agnes is extremely talented and her passion and creativity are contagious. Plus, the entire process is 100% hands on. At first I found it intimidating dealing with the fire and hot glass, but Agnes and Renee were so patient and reassuring that I soon forget to be scared and just started to enjoy the process. Again, artists don’t always like to be bothered with business details, but if you’re looking for talented individuals with a big heart, and a truly enjoyable experience, this is your place.

Had a groupon for the class as a Christmas present. Used it last night. Such an interesting class. Agnes & her team (Renee & Miles) were so encouraging and guided everyone through their various pieces w/​knowledge and finesse. I was curious about the format, as each person worked their piece to completion before the next person started working, but it really flowed. It was fun and informative to watch others complete their pieces. We all actually cheered for each other as the final pieces of art took shape. An interesting and intimate format to learn about a truly spectacular art form.

I need to take one star away only based on her class prices. There are some cheaper options out there with very quality artists. But I still have mad love for this little shop and always will!

Do not buy the living social coupon. Told my kids about this and they were so excited. Agnes refused to call back. Got a refund. Will never use. Thanks Agnes for nothing!

I have been taking classes with Agnes for about a year and have enjoyed the experience immensely. Agnes is a great teacher that is passionate about her art and teaching others. She explains not only how to do something but why you do it. Glass blowing is truly a high! When I finish a piece it gives me a great feeling, I always leave the studio looking forward to the next lesson

This is place is so awesome! Don’t go if you don’t want to pay attention or really learn about the process, because Agnes is very serious about the process, but you can tell she truly loves what she does, and is willing to help everyone create their best work. Renee was great as well. I’ll definitely return, such a cool experience!

The Groupon/​Living Social Deal is a complete rip off. This is not a glass blowing class. The extent of glass blowing you will get to do is picking out the colors to be used for your piece. You don’t get to blow glass. You sortof get to help rotate the molten glass on the pipe, but all the while the artist or her apprentices are spinning the glass and doing all the work. I paid extra for the vase and the value of the vase you get is maybe $ 15 –25, and that is really being generous. I contacted living social and asked for a refund.

I bought the glass blowing workshop deal through Living Social and was looking forward to learning something new and tapping into my creative side. I went to the class alone and was a little hesitant after arriving in the ghetto where the chain linked fence and Rottweiler greeted me. Once inside the freezing cold garage, I was handed a waiver to sign (naturally) and picked out the colors of glass I wanted to use for my orb. I was not impressed when I first met Agnes — she was very abrasive and rough around the edges to say the least. She gave us some background on glass blowing and her education and demonstrated how to make a sample vase. I have to admit that she is extremely talented and makes beautiful art. Agnes then helped us make our glass pieces, which was interesting but not as hands on as I’d expected. I suppose glass blowing should be left for the pros and felt that the coupon was a little misleading. The worst experience though was when I went to pick up my glass the following week within the hours that Agnes specified. It was a Friday, so I was trying to go on my lunch break to pick up my piece. When I arrived, nobody was answering the door and everything was locked although I could see that they were working in the back. So I started to shout and try and get some body’s attention. When Agnes finally came out, I was told to come back in AN HOUR because she was working on a piece. I was pissed, but left with no other option. When I returned, Agnes told me to «put my dog back in the car because her dog will EAT her!» Then, they couldn’t find my piece that I paid $ 60 for! After about 20 minutes of searching and complaining and blaming other people who probably took it home accidentally, they found it… which is good because I was about to explode. The only thing that stopped me was my fear of getting attacked. Agnes treated me like such a burden and kept saying that she has other clients and work to do and that she doesn’t have time to deal with misplaced pieces. She didn’t even acknowledge the fact that I had to take about 3 HOURS out of MY work day to pick of the piece. Sorry, just had to vent.

UPDATE: Almost exactly 4 months since my shipped piece arrived broken, my replacement piece is here, and… it’s beautiful!
Agnes makes beautiful artwork. Go to the store, browse, buy stuff. Carry it out with you, don’t have it shipped.

This is a scam! Beware!
An artistic experience indeed. If you mean the frustration and anger of trying to book a class that doesn’t exist. I purchased the Livingsocial deal and logged on to book an appointment one month before the expiration date. Little did I know that Agnes is in high demand (supposedly) and how dare I wait till the last minute to make my reservations. The classes were all booked, I attempted to get in contact with the merchant numerous times via phone an email. It was a joke how un-​reachable this woman was. After finally getting a hold of someone I was scolded for calling and disrupting them.
Excuse me for trying to give you money. Mind you they strategically waited until the deal expired before returning any contact with me… hmmm fishy.
So I asked for an extension, nothing, instead I was screamed at by Agnes herself, and berated for trying to take advantage of her business and waiting till the last minute. Hmmm… I didn’t pay $ 120 for a lecture that was reminiscent of high school teachers.
Needless to say she refused to extend the offer, because customer service is a foreign concept to this woman. And didn’t appreciate my comments on over-​advertising and not delivering for her customers. Maybe a blessing in disguise, if she is the one guiding the classes I doubt it would have been any fun.
If a nagging, mean, and obnoxious glass blowing teacher is up your alley and you want to take your chances of buying a deal and not getting to use it. Consider making a donation to the Agnes Scam, if you value your money and your time then STAY AWAY!

Don’t buy their LivingSocial (or Groupon, or whatever) deal.
They were overbooked on the «deal», and refused to help when we finally got someone on the phone. We started talking to them a couple of weeks before the deal expired, and never got resolution. It lapsed, which I’m pretty sure was their strategy all along. As a couple of weeks passed, and the deadline to use the deal approached, we got zero assistance, and occasionally a snotty reply about how we shouldn’t have waited until the last few weeks to book.
«Book your class online,» they said.
«There are no open slots,» we said.
«We’ll add a couple for you, but book it online,» they said.
«Since we have you on the phone, can we just book it with you?»
«No. Go online. We’ll add a couple of spots for you on X day at X time.»
That never happened. We were online within a couple of hours from when they said they added space for us, and the spaces were not there.
Lady, we’ve been working our asses off here, trying to use this deal you offered, and getting nothing but a bunch of attitude and encouragement to go to your stupid overbooked website with no open slots. Hint: If you want to attract and retain customers, sometimes you actually have to TALK to customers and help them.
If they blow glass with the same enthusiasm that they blew me off, they probably do some kick ass glass work.

Honestly I am not able to speak to the quality of the Glass Blowing class offered by Agnes Sanchez because I was refused service. I had purchased a voucher to use, after attempting to contact the business for three weeks, I finally got a call back from Agnes her self, who acted like I was blessed that she called me back. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer. She was rude, abrasive, and yelled over me on the phone. A direct quote, «I don’t need your business, I’m so busy I’ll be fine.» I am not a small business owner but I feel like all customers are valuable and should be respected. There are two types of service that Agnes provides: either ignoring you (which is preferable trust me) or calling you back to verbally berate you and bully you. Maybe its all the glass blowing, but the place seems to be filled with hot air.
P. S. Don’t pre-​pay for anything unless you’re prepared for all classes to be booked until six months from now. Agnes is as rigid as glass and won’t bend her militant rules for anyone.

I took a class today at Agnes of Glass. What a GREAT day. Agnes and her staff were helpful and gave the support and guidance I needed to create a beautiful vase. Agnes is a knowlegeable, talented artist who has great passion for sharing the world of glass blowing with her students.
Highly recommend!

Took a class from Agnes this last weekend to make a Christmas ornament… what a blast. Agnes really makes it a safe and fun class, I cannot wait to go back. I have already told all my co-​workers how amazing the workshop is!

I have taken a few workshops over the last year at Agnes of Glass Studio and Agnes is wonderful teacher. Students receive a good balance of demonstration, hands on experience, and guidance to take a lot of ownership in the process. Agnes works with people in small numbers to ensure each person gets enough attention to stay engaged in the process.
A real treat is to watch Agnes work her magic when she creates a piece! She is a gifted and experienced artist! Take a class and experience the magic of glass blowing by one of Denver’s best!

This tiny studio displays some gorgeous works of glass art. Magnificent orbs ornaments, tiles, paperweights, etc…
Even a Chiluly-​esque chandelier. They also teach classes. Worth a peek!
