12 years ago, Dr. Ferrari used to be at SkyRidge in Lonetree, CO, and downtown somewhere. I had hurt my left shoulder in the gym, and had gone to several other orthopedic surgeons. Finally, someone that I know suggested Dr. Ferrari. Being a huge fan of the automobile, I made an appointment. :) He is a very busy surgeon… He looked at me very carefully and then listened to my entirely too-​long description of the pain, the injury, and looked at the MRI that I had brought. He suggested surgery to repair my bursa sac, and some tears. I made an appointment for the DTC out-​patient surgical center. He made sure that I had everything that I needed. I even had an Igloo six-​pack cooler, that was converted to an icer for my shoulder. It was first class treatment… I used the physical therapist that he referred me to, and before you know it, I was back in the gym, hitting the heavy weights. Actually about 90 days… It is 12 years later, and my shoulder is perfect. Now my left knee is damaged, and I will soon be calling to schedule an appointment with Dr. Ferrari.

I scheduled an appointment 3 months out for Dr. D’Ambrosia. I waited in the waiting room 1 ½ hrs only to be given his «Assistant» because he was too «busy to see me». She moved my leg in one direction and made a diagnosis. I asked to see Dr. D’Ambrosia before I left and was told to wait. After another hour of waiting, I told the receptionist I was leaving. I was billed over $ 225 for this visit. I wrote Dr. D’Ambrosia and outlined what had happened and gave my phone number. I never got a response. Only another bill.
While I was in the waiting room, Another Pt was waiting over 1 hr and was told he could not be seen at all; he left angry after stating he drove several miles to get there and should have been contacted. Within 2 minutes his name was called and the receptionist stated «he left». He had been given the wrong information i.e. wrong Dr. was running late.
I would never recommend this place.

SO far, so good! Dr. D’Ambrosia is very kind and caring, his assistant could use some better manners though. Although I have only been twice, both times I didn’t really have a wait time, I was called back VERY quick and spoke to a nurse and his assistant right away and got started with getting x-​rays. Which only took about 20 mins total including the wait time. He also corrected my diagnosis from my previous doctor and started right away to help ease my pain and get into PT.
(The PT office that they use for their patients, is nice and the therapists are usually polite and helpful with treatment, but the office is very unorganized with schedules and returning calls etc.)
The only problem I have had with them is happening now and it is not their fault. United Health Care, my insurance-​is dropping this office from their coverage without a real reason.
after I had a horrible experience with a doctor by the name of, Pamela Knight– STAY AWAY FROM HER– I finally found this place that I could trust so I am even changing plans so I can keep coming to Advanced Orthopedics.

Doctor gersoff is an amazing doctor and surgeon!
I came to see him because I had a problem with my left knee. I was in so much pain and couldn’t even walk or run on a treadmill.
Turns out it was a developmental problem with my meniscus. Doctor gersoff was very explanatory, which I’m thankful for because I have NO idea about anything with bones and joints and what not. Then the surgery scheduling lady called me to schedule my arthroscopic surgery and I got in in less than a week!
The day of my surgery I was pretty frightened. I had never had surgery before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Before the surgery doctor gersoff came and talked to my mom and I and I felt a lot more relieved. The surgery was fast!
I got my stitches out at this location as well and I was so frightened about that. I’ve heard that it hurts from some people and that it doesn’t from others. But I’m just freaked out by impaling things. Like stitches. But the nurse took them out faster than I could count to 5.
I would recommend Dr. Gersoff to anyone!
He also referred me to an awesome physical therapist.

Joke. WIthin one hour (i sat there) I saw probably 40 people come and go! These guys are ALLLL about the money– and then write prescription to phys. therapy. IF you are smart ~ or even care — really about your outcome… DON’T COME. — it’s a joke if not a circus.

Dr Alan NG is my ankle doctor here and he’s suppose to operate on me October 29 but for some reason his Medical assistant and the individuals who answer the phones don’t show the same respect and appreciation to the patient as how the doctor does. I’ve been calling for hours just to confirm my surgery date and time I need to show up and I still have not gotten through, I lost count of the amount of times I was transferred. If this will have them do their job better then I hope they do because the way the ph do business now which is their job is not right. The doctor does a hell of a job why not show that you can do the same?!

I would give them a zero star if I could, and I definitely would not recommend them. Here’s the story. I made an appointment to get a shot in each knee of Synvic I. I had these shots before (and they last about 6 months) from a different doctor who became out-​of-​network for me. So, I needed to find a new doctor, and I chose these guys. I arrived for the appointment and explained that I was there for shots in each knee. I waited 40 minutes beyond my appointment time and they finally called me to an exam room. I talked to an assistant in the exam room and again explained that I was there for shots of Synvic I in each knee. I waited another 15 minutes and then went out of the room to find out what was going on. Right outside of the exam room I found a nurse on her computer, and I asked her when the doctor could see me. The nurse asked if I was there for shots of Synvic I and I said yes. She said they do not stock that in their office and the doctor would need to talk to me and I would then need to make another appointment to get the shots. I stood there stunned. She knew there was some type of miss-​communication and didn’t bother to come into the exam room or bother to teIl someone else about the problem. I made the appointment explaining that I need the shots, explained to numerous people in the office that I was there for shots, only to find out that I was not getting the shots. Apparently they thought I needed a consultation before getting the shots even though I had already had the shots from another doctor and had already been examined by this same doctor previously. Ridiculous! I just shock my head and left the office. Obviously, they have a big communication problem in their office.

I chose to see Dr. Ferrari for some terrible shoulder pain based on reviews here. I had x-​rays done and then spoke with him for 5 minutes, fully clothed. He determined that I did not need rotator cuff surgery and therefore, was done with me. The entire time we spoke, he was on the edge of his seat like he wanted to leave the room. I had to keep bugging him with questions, such as «what is causing my pain?» and «can I continue to do my job, which requires lifting?» and ‘what’s the treatment plan?” I ended up with a diagnosis and that’s it. I called the next day for a treatment plan and was told he or his assistant would call me back. Nobody did. I went to Cornerstone Orthopedics today and saw Dr. Ciccone, who gave me a similar diagnosis but with a real treatment plan and much kinder treatment.

Dr, D’ambrosia is my favorite, I’d ask for him.

I injured my shoulder about six months prior to having surgery. During that time I visited a couple of orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists, received x-​rays and an MRI of my shoulder and was getting a run-​around about how my shoulder should/​could/​might heal on its own. Meanwhile my the pain in my shoulder was getting worse and not better. I heard about Dr. Ferrari and when I visited him he examined the mobility of my arm and could see I was in incredible pain. Then when he sat down to look at the x-​rays and MRI of my shoulder he said it was absolutely necessary to have surgery. I went under the knife a few weeks later in his Parker surgery center as an out patient. From the MRI he thought I tore one of my rotator cuff muscles, but during the surgery he determined it was actually a torn labrum. So he was able to assess the problem and fix my shoulder during the surgery.
I received physical therapy for several months after the surgery and went in for 3 – 4 follow up visits with Dr. Ferrari. I had some concerns about how my shoulder felt, but he assured me that he was satisfied with my healing progress and very pleased with how flexible my shoulder was from the physical therapy. It turns out after several months that my arm was essentially back to where it used to be prior to injury and am back full swing in the gym lifting weights, playing tennis, volley ball and enjoying everything I did prior to injuring myself.
I highly recommend Dr. Ferrari and am so happy to have my shoulder back to it’s full potential.
May 2014 update; 3-​years later:
I had this shoulder surgery June 2011 and three years later it is better than ever. I definitely made the right decision to have Dr. Ferrari operate on it.

Had my first appointment today. I hurt my lower back about 5 weeks ago and have been waiting to get in. I left work early to make this appointment and when I got to the office I was informed that the doc was not there! She said they tried to call me, but the number was wrong. So, I asked «what number were you calling?» and she looked through her computer and said «there isnt a number in here.» that is somewhat odd…
I asked if another doc could work me in since I drove across town and am in serious pain. NO! There are no doctors in the entire office today! Umm… how do you run a doctor’s office with no doctors?! Ok. so, can he work me in tomorrow or friday? NO! Can anyone work me in the next two days? NO! hmmmmm… this isnt going so well.
So now I have another appointment for next week… a whopping 6 days away. I get it, the doctor had to do an emergency surgery, it happens. BUT, what about my back? It feels like an emergent situation to me…
More than anything I am frustrated that nobody called me. There are lots of ways to get numbers for people. I was a patient of Dr. Ng’s a couple years ago so I know my number is on file somewhere. And now that I have to wait another 6 days in pain is just sucky. I really hope the wait is worth it…

I am a patient of Dr. Alan Ng. He was recommended by a family member who practices physical therapy in the area. I had sesamoiditis — a stress fracture in the ball of my foot. I had seen sports med specialists before for it and the pain was coming back more often and more painfully.
My uncle, a sports’ med physician (out of state) recommended I proceed with caution because he knows of orthopedic surgeons who most enjoy that… surgery. When I first met Dr Ng, I could tell I would be in good care. He was not at ALL quick to surgery. We tried several treatment options before and only turned to surgery after the other treatments stopped working 1.5 years later (most time added to due to my own delays in going back for follow-​up).
When he did do the operation, we talked extensively about the risks and he warned me carefully what could result if it did not heal properly. He was not at ALL quick to jump to surgery. When I did have the partial sesamoidectomy (partial to be conservative so I could keep my ‘youthful’ mobility in greater tact), he followed up with me post-​surgery to reassure the decision by explaining to (doped up) me and my husband just how bad it was and how clear the need for surgery was. That really helped me to feel even better about my choice, even when I was in pain the next day. The recovery was pretty decent, considering the good advice I was given and attentive follow-​up care.
I really appreciate that the office is high-​tech, so they could x-​ray my foot upon my initial visit and post-​surgery and immediately view the results, instead of needing separate appointments and follow-​ups just to see what the x-​ray shows.
Dr Ng clearly is very experienced in what he does. He has great «bedside manner» and is very clearly a caring doc.

Dr. Hurley was assigned to me by my doc to repair a very nasty wrist scaphoid fracture.
THE BUILDING: very nice, spacious, clean, friendly, and very effecient.
LOBBY SERVICE: I don’t know if it’s the same for all the docs or not, but Hurley’s appts were great. I was always in and out VERY quickly, and if I showed up early they would still fit me in. Easy to find appointment times.
THE STAFF: from the nurses to doc Hurley, everyone was really groovy towards me. Always a pleasant experience (as pleasant as it could be).
THE WORK: It took 2 surgeries (it was nasty) but I am now healed and wrist feels great. Sometimes these don’t heal at all.

Tried to get Twinkee in to see a sports medicine specialist! She reagrevated her groin, a common injury for soccer player and hockey players and occasionally track starts like her.
I called to schedule a appointment with them and explained what she needed to be seen for, a terse and borderline rude lady told me they don’t diagnose, treat or rehab groin strains that its not sports medicine! Oh really that’s a new one to me, it happened during track practice! And as stated its common in soccer and hockey players! So the terse rude little tart put me on hold to talk to someone else, I stayed on hold heard their little infomercial about we will have you on the field no time, if its track, if its field, or a court! All except its a groin strain. I stayed in this on hold loop for 10 minutes or so and 2 times and I even came back to the same girl that put me on hold twice.
Finally another phone jockey answered and I explained the issue she said we don’t treat groin strains etc. I asked if they are sports medicine she said yes, so you don’t treat groin strains? She said I could take her to the hip specialist but there are no appointments today! There is the information I was looking for 14 minutes later.
Very poor service and they should ad some to the sports medicine part of their name, I assume they like the sports medicine that requires a knife so they can make the dough! My daughter runs on a team of 30 athletes and we are close to the track community I will not recommend them to try to come here!

When I hurt my thumb I was referred here by my doctor. I in fact had Broken my thumb. I was put in to a cast and sent on my way. every time I went in for a check up was just fine, quick and painless. Dr. Hurley was great. I recommend them highly. My second opinion wanted me to get surgery… which was not necessary. Thank goodness I came here! Great lobby! Good magazines! :) That is important!
