Unbelievably unprofessional. Completely non-​responsive via email. Total waste of money. I’m so disappointed. Don’t do it!!!

Adam took my son’s senior pictures near our home (outdoors). We traded e-​mails and found a date and time that worked (Adam was very accommodating). I was happy that Adam was willing to travel to an outdoor location near our house (so the shots are in a familiar setting — which made them more special memories). My son was not an enthusiastic subject (being a 17-​year-​old boy). Adam was absolutely great. We had a «mini» package of about 22 shots to choose from (he took a lot more and sent us the best) for the year book. It was hard to pick just one — there were a nice variety of backgrounds and poses. Adam is both laid back and professional — the perfect combination for capturing great photos. And he’s got an excellent eye. Big recommendation!

Bought a living social deal for Adam and Eve — Almost a year later still have not had pictures taken. They will say things out of their control caused the scheduling issues but in reality it boils down to they are very difficult to communicate with and not very responsive. They cancelled 1 appt the day off because they had a «better» more lucrative session planned.
I’m out $ 99 dollars as living socail will not refund money and I refuse to use their service if they do not stand behind their offers.
Maybe you will have a better experience but I highly doubt it!
IMO — beware and do not get sucked in — either with Living social, groupon or Adam and Eve photography.

Summary: Poor customer service, sloooooooowwwww responses. Didn’t actually ever get my photo session.
I hate to write this review without ever having met Adam but I want to warn others in case they ever offer a Groupon deal again. I thought it was a great deal when I bought 2 sessions from Groupon. I tried to schedule a session with him in the fall. It was about 6 weeks of back and forth from my first email to him until we were able to finally schedule a date on a weeknight — inconvenient but I really wanted to potentially get a photo for our Christmas cards. Scheduling was super painful, after each email I would wait 5 – 7 days (up to 2+ weeks in one case) for a response. I have a variable and inflexible schedule so this was a struggle for me. After finally scheduling a date and having our family outfits all set out, he had a family emergency at the last minute so couldn’t do the session. I completely empathize with him — however, I did not have the time or energy to deal with another 6 – 8 weeks of emailing back and forth again.
Finally in March I contacted him again, asking for some available dates. Almost 4 weeks later, he responded. By this time, I had already contacted Groupon and they’ve given me a refund in the form of Groupon credit which also irritates me. They say they haven’t heard ANY other complaints about this vendor which I have a hard time believing but I think this will change a little closer to the expiration date in July. In addition to the scheduling difficulty, I specifically mentioned to Adam that I wanted family photos in our new home, a couple of different times, yet he kept asking where we should meet and suggesting places like parks and such. I definitely did not feel like he valued my business in any way, shape or form. I don’t know if this is just because I was a groupon customer, maybe if you’re paying full price he will treat you better although based on the reviews here, I doubt it. I really dislike reviewing without actually having the opportunity to review the product but I want to warn others.

First off the actual photos that Adam and Eve photography take are beautiful! This is why I purchased a groupon to give as a gift. They insist on making all appointments through email so after 2 weeks of back and forth an appointment would finally be set. Then it would have to be cancelled for one reason or another. Then another 2 to 3 weeks of emailing back and forth. They really need an assistant to strictly help with appointments. I have many friends in the Austin area who are photographers, so small businesses, who realize how important an assistant can be. They are actually driving away business by being so unprofessional. The last appointment was scheduled for a day it was supposed to snow. So we sent an email days in advance asking if the appointment was still on. They responded at 1045 pm the night before. They stated that their child had gotten chemicals of some kind in their eye and they only had one car. So they would let us know if they could still make the appointment. We didn’t hear from them that day or any day after. It’s been weeks. I’m furious and seeking a refund.
I really was so sad because this was supposed to be a beautiful gift but it has been tainted. A&E make beautiful photos so if you have a completely open schedule, tons of time, and tons of patience then they are a good choice for you.

The photos are good. If you have an open schedule, and don’t mind a total headache to set something up, and have no important dates or milestones to capture, working with Adam and Eve is not a bargain, but not a waste of money. If you are busy or have a milestone, please RUN AWAY and find someone who respects you and your time.
We purchased three Groupons, since we had a baby on the way and knew that we would have need of several photos over the year. The first attempt to set something up went fairly well, but as we were leaving the house for a pregnancy shoot (8 ½) months, I checked email to verify some details and found that Adam had emailed me a few hours previous to cancel due to wind. If I hadn’t checked email, I would have stood around the park looking for him. We agreed to reschedule for the newborn shots, but I had a hard time getting those set up, feeling like those precious early weeks were slipping away. With help from Groupon, Yvette came to the house. The second Groupon was easier to schedule although it still took a couple of weeks, for the three month photos. The location he suggested was good, but even my mom commented that she was disappointed that, as a professional photographer, he offered almost nothing about posing or use of props. It was completely up to us. The photos turned out very well, however, it took 6 weeks to get the photos back (they did have a baby just prior, but communication about this was frustrating).
The last Groupon was just ridiculous. I started requesting something for October at Wash Park, which is near us, on September 10^th. After two weeks of back-​and-​forth we wound up with a date and time in mid-​November, but Adam did not respond to my inquiries about location except to say that they would let me know. He emailed me the location October 15^th. Adam said they would be at Chautauqua Park. I assume he means Boulder, although he never clarified that. I immediately wrote back that this would not work for us, as I did not think I could navigate naps, mealtimes, and two one-​hour drives and still have happy, presentable children for good photos. I was frustrated, but figured that we could work something out. I suggested different times and days, and asked Adam to please call me. On October 24^th, after sending him a couple of emails and not hearing back, I asked Groupon to please ask him to give me a call. On November 1^st, I had to call Groupon to get a refund. I can’t believe that anyone thinks that 7 ½ weeks and still no date, time, and location is acceptable!
Reading Adam’s response to other complaints, it is clear that he thinks that any angry customer is just an inconsiderate, unreasonable person (including me). However, I am absolutely disappointed by the disregard that he showed to our time and our family. I have rarely worked with a «professional» who is so inconsiderate. I only give one star because there isn’t a zero stars option.

I had the absolute best time working with Adam. When plans fell through and it ended up being just me for the shoot he made me feel quite at ease and had the best suggestions and the pictures came out wonderfully. I have been and continue to be a fan and look forward to other opportunities to work with him again.

After having two very poor experiences with photographers that offered Living Social/​Groupon deals, I thought I was done. Photographer #1 refused to accept the terms of the deal, which stated that I could pick any on-​site location in the Denver metro. Instead, she insisted that we meet in Evergreen, on any Tuesday, at 5pm. That wasn’t going to happen for us since the idea of fighting rush hour traffic for a photography session wasn’t going to fly. Since she insisted that she was too busy to drive to Denver, I contacted Groupon and got a refund (very easy to do, btw). Photographer #2 was much better, but really didn’t put a lot of care into the photos. The few full-​family picks she took had very harsh lighting that made us look like vampires. She was also very flakey about getting the pics to us and still hasn’t delivered some of the items that we purchased. Also, she insists on having you friend her on facebook (to market her photos to your friends) but doesn’t filter out her negative comments about annoying clients demands. While these comments weren’t directed at me, I do believe in some minimal standards of professionalism.
Above all, photography service is a very personal service. If you don’t have a trusted friend available, you have to find someone that is willing to put the energy and effort in to making the experience comfortable and the pictures memorable. This is difficult because there are literally hundreds of professional photographers in the Denver metro area. I now feel very fortunate after taking one more chance on a Living Social coupon for Adam & Eve Photography.
Adam Blick did an admirable job trying to entertain my skeptical one year-​old son, who suddenly got camera shy. He took beautiful pictures of my wife and son, and even made me look good, despite the fact that I gave him little to work with :-). Most of all, he was flexible with where he would be willing to meet us, offered a few different times despite his busy schedule, and was reasonably prompt with getting the photos back to us. Best of all, he was professional.
Unlike a lot of other photographers, Adam will actually include the digital rights with the online coupon. Other photographers will sell you the session, a print, and something useless like a slideshow CD of the sessions. Digital rights for a session can range from $ 350‑1000 (or more). Many of the photos you receive will be repeats (10 or more of the same pose) and none of the photos will receive much care in editing. Adam limited the deal to the best 15 – 20 pics, which is good because not every photo taken is a keeper. He then spends some time editing each photo to really enhance the quality and feel in each image. While he ignored my requests to make me slimmer, he did a nice job of giving each pic a soft feel while emphasizing some of the vibrant colors. Most of all, he really did a great job of documenting special time for my family. Of the thousands of family pics that have been taken since my son was born, Adam’s photos of us are my favorite. Someday, when my son grows into a jaded, ungrateful, entitled teenager, I’ll have these adorable photos from his days as a sweet, little toddler to remind me of how wonderful parenthood has been.

My update is sorely overdue! We got our pictures in a timely manner and we just could not have loved them more. Adam was fantastic and the next time we need photos we will absolutely be calling him again!

I worked with Adam and Eve Photography via a Groupon they offered for a session of photos and the rights to those pictures after they were edited and hand-​picked for the best ones. My experience was very nice overall. They are a very enthusiastic, creative, and professional young couple. Their photographs are very unique and my girlfriend and I were very pleased with how ours turned out — and we are NOT very photogenic people! The only caveat I may have would be the price. It may be expensive if you pay full costs, but for the Groupon offer, it was a steal!

I really enjoyed working with Adam and Eve photography. They photographed my newborn and my 2-​year old son. They captured both beautifully and quickly, sparing all meltdowns that usually happen at that age with too much ‘fussing’ and ‘posing’. I also loved that I was able to get a CD with the pictures allowing me to create my own prints and announcements. So many photographers these days aren’t doing that. I would definitely recommend them!

We hired Adam and Eve to photograph a bachelorette party. Adam arrived on time and actually stayed longer to get some extra shots. He did excellent work. His attitude really upped the party/​positive vibe and made the shoot so easy and fun. We got our CD and immediately uploaded all of our pictures on facebook. A lot of the girls changed their profile photo that same day to one of the Adam and Eve shots. They look so edgy and cool with his creative camera angles and photoshop skills.
We had so many compliments on the pictures and the bachelorette LOVES them. Adam and Eve are now our official event photographer! We hired them again to photograph a friend’s casual birthday brunch/​picnic in the botanical gardens for later this month. The girls loved the photos — all the great angles, lighting, and creativity was just amazing. Adam and Eve totally made us look like the best bridesmaids ever by bringing paparazzi to the event. The prices are very reasonable and worth every penny. 5 stars.
