I love this place! Can’t say enough good things. Nora has done wonders for my skin and I continue to come back every few weeks. She’s eager to try new things and recipes, keeping in mind your ultimate goal. She is so knowledgeable and find what’s works for you! I absolutely love my time here and feel so relaxed when leaving. I also always get compliments afterwards on how great my skin looks. Thank you, Nora!

Nora offers amazing service. She’s flexible enough to take same-​day appointments and she’s always been friendly and welcoming. Her location is very accessible from downtown and does not have a terrible parking problem like so many others nearby. Nora offers suggestions for your skin, but is never pushy. Highly recommend coming here!

Nora is the sweetest lady ever. I even met her mom the day I went in. My skin has been fabulous since I went to her (even though I’ve only been in once). I look forward to going in again and again. Definitely my go-​to spot for skin care from now on. I even left with some amazing samples of different types of face wash that I have enjoyed trying out.

Tari did a great job on my bikini and brow wax. Everyone was very nice, and stayed past closing hours to accommodate my last minute appointment on a Sunday.

Nora is simply the best. I recently went in for a facial which came with a free 30 minute massage and it was by far the best 90 minutes I’ve ever had at any spa or salon. Nora knows her stuff and does a great job with everything. The massage was super relaxing and she was able to work out some problem knots in my lower back and the facial was amazing, my face has never felt so great. I highly recommend Nora to anyone looking for a great massage or facial.

Big fan of this place! I do a lot of research on local businesses before I invest in a facial since they can be costly for your wallet and skin.
Not here though! it’s worth every penny and I can’t wait to go back. My skin was suffering from unbalanced dryness from the CO air and Nora helped me figure out a better régime with Sanitas that makes my skin look and feel good. Nora is awesome and make you feel excited about a facial! not sleepy and boring zZzZ

Had a wax today my first brazilan, and I must say I felt more pain when doing a bikini or eyebrow wax at another establishment… This lady is awesome. quick and efficient. kudos to her excellent customer service and presentation .I will highly reccomend her.

Nora is a client’s dream esthetician. She truly knows what she is doing, and is devoted to expanding and improving her craft with the latest products and techniques in the industry. She has a gentle touch, and a wonderful welcoming presence.
I am currently addicted to the eyelash extensions Nora does, they are so fun and fabulous! I have also been to her before for facials, and highly recommend those as well. Pretty much anything beauty, she’s your lady.

Man, I love this place. I come here every 3 weeks to get my lashes and brows tinted and they are amazing. Everyone I have been to at Accent Beauty is friendly professional and very good at their trade.

I visited Accent Beauty recently in preparation for The Dude’s and my engagement photos. I admit I don’t put much thought into my skincare (I know, I know that’s not a very good idea), and after a semi-​recent facial reaction /​freak out from a face cleanser I’d used before, I was more than a little hesitant to give a facial a go. However, thanks to AB’s many positive reviews and a little unintentional nudge from Mz. B., I decided to book an appointment for an express facial (40 minutes) and a brow wax.
I was able to book my appointments online (super fast and easy), and was on my way one cold Saturday afternoon. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Nora and a new employee who I think was training? Nora noted my «sensitive skin» remark on my booking and asked about my routine, history, etc. She seemed very knowledgeable and started naming off products she would use and not use. She also saw that I wrote «peanut allergy» (or intolerance, not a big deal but just in case) and insisted on not using any products with any kind of nut oil, etc. I thought this was super professional and very proactive on her part.
I was lead to one of their private rooms and given some time to get comfortable. I was asked if the new employee could observe my treatments; I agreed. Oh, and I was also asked what kind of music I wanted! I picked 80s and Nora was more than happy to oblige. I thought that was a unique touch from other spa-​type places where it wasn’t just New Age or Smooth Jazz. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but just something different (in a good way!).
While I had to book my two services about 40 minutes apart online, Nora was able to do the facial and brow wax all in one go. This was much appreciated. She explained everything she was doing as she went through, asked for feedback, etc. She was very professional and the added touch of hand/​arm massage while the mask was on was very nice. She did an alright job on my brows, though I still found several hairs I had to pluck out at home. My previous experience with brow waxes is from years ago but at that time I remember the lady waxed and went through and cleaned up by plucking.
Beyond the few missed spots with the wax (which may have been because the room was dim?), overall I was very satisfied with my experience. AB also offers ½ off the express facial for one’s birthday, which was kindly extended to me since mine had just passed. A heck of a deal and a definite treat for my future birthdays. I would recommend Accent Beauty even without the birthday discount! I was also given a few samples of cleansers to use that have all worked well and no bad reactions! The package lists Louisville so even cooler if it’s a local product! Now it’s just a matter of finding the time to get back for some of that cleanser, and maybe another service or two :)

I decided to give eyelash extensions a test-​drive before my wedding in April and found Nora via other Unilocal!reviews. She and her team are, without a doubt, amazing. I was immediately put at ease by the environment of the space as Accent Beauty isn’t a spa like any other I’ve experienced.
Nora talked me through everything about extensions prior to applying them, and our easy banter helped pass the two hours quite nicely. A note: finding someone with whom you can chat easily for two hours while your eyes are closed is not an easy feat!
I am quite happy with how my lashes turned out and know I will return for fills and to try their other services.
I also got to «spend time» with Amanda while there and know I will be in good hands if I start scheduling my appointments at their new location at 44^th and Lowell, which is closer to my place of work.
If you are looking for an environment where you will be taken care of by people who are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly then Accent Beauty is the salon for you!

Went to Accent Beauty today and I am so happy and pleased! I saw Amanda and she is AMAZING. Truly an artist when it comes to skin!

This update is long overdue! I have been going to Accent Beauty for nearly two years and it truly is a five star experience each and every time!
I look forward to my appointments here as I’ve said before, the location is cozy and inviting the staff is warm and friendly. While Amy is no longer there, I now see Tari for my brow wax and tint and she’s fantastic! Amy gave Tari details on how I like my brows and the transition was seamless. While Tari is my go-​to, I would trust my brows to anyone there.
Nora and her staff truly are as good as it gets and that’s why I return again and again.

I was sent into a panic (seriously, I’m kind of dramatic) when my go-​to esthetician moved her business (and herself, duh) to Florida.
Fortunately, I didn’t have to panic for long because I found glowing reviews of Accent Beauty. I was able to book my services online and received a reminder/​confirmation before my appointment. After my initial brow wax with Natalie, I can say my search for a new go-​to is over.
As soon as I heard that Natalie’s approach to waxing is «conservative,» I was won over, since I go for more of the natural brow shape myself. As you know, it’s easy for them to take more off if requested, but they can’t exactly put more back on. The service itself was nearly painless and the oils, which were chalk full of zinc, greatly reduced any redness that typically goes along with waxing.
In addition to waxing services, they offer a variety of reasonably-​priced facials, tinting, and eyelash extensions all within their cozy little shop.

I am leaving to go on a vacation today & I’m stressed, but I NEED to take some time to tell you about Nora and her eyelash extensions!
I’ve had eyelash extensions applied several times over the last few years, but I’m certain that this is the best application I’ve received! I explained to Nora that I wanted something with «presence» and she did an amazing job. She tailored the lash combination to look great. I’m so happy that I won’t have to put on makeup for the next few weeks!
Nora herself is welcoming and makes you feel right at home. I never felt like I was a «charge», but rather a friend! We talked the entire time I was there (a little over 2 hours for a full set). She even checks in occasionally to make sure you don’t need any water, restroom, etc. I’ve never had anyone ask me that before. Oh, and there’s a lovely pre-​eyelash facial cleanse that was so wonderful! Seeing as you can’t get them wet for 24 hours, this was a thoughtful part of the service — again I’ve never had anyone do that!
For those of you who have never had eyelash extensions before, I feel Nora would do a great job explaining to you what is happening as she applies them, to make you more at ease (and if you want any more information about what it’s like before you go, feel free to message me!). For those of you who have — this is a great place that has a perfect price point and amazing service.
I plan to come back here to try some other beautifying things!

If you would have asked me 4 month ago about Accent Beauty, I would have given them 5 Stars… But after being a regular customer (going twice a month for 4 months) for eyelash extensions, I ran into some major complications.
My first four appointments were comfortable and resulted in glamorous full sets of eyelashes. I was promised that would be applied one at a time to ensure that my natural lashes would not be harmed. The fourth is when problems starting occurring. At the end of the session, «somehow» my lashes had been glued to the pads and were torn away. More were added and it was no big deal. While driving back to work my eyes were tearing and itchy. I looked in the mirror and they were bright red! Keep in mind, you can’t get the lashes wet for 24 hrs, so no eyedrops for me. They ended up being red for a WHOLE WEEK!
At my next session, I nicely asked if they had changed their procedure, glue, etc. and explained my experience. They said that it was fine, so I went ahead and had my filler session. SAME THING! This time, my lashes fell out so fast (and in chunks!!), they were gone after a week, my eyes were again bloodshot for a week!
Stupid me, went in again thinking it was a fluke thing. What was left of my natural lashes were sporadic and pitifully short. I had had very few applied to keep my natural lashes from breaking. Yet again, red eyes for a week and lashes gone in a week.
Although their prices are fair and the owner, Nora, is amazing, it is not worth having ZERO eyelashes and a red, crusty lash line.

I liked this place. I really wanted to treat myself and get a facial for my wedding, so I researched tons of places until I came across Accent Beauty. They had a first-​timer special (I think), so I booked an appointment a couple weeks before my wedding last year. I’d never had a facial before, and being so close to my wedding, my technician suggested that we not go super crazy and risk my skin acting adversely to her treatments. Good plan. Apparently I have super sensitive skin, though, because the mask that she used on my face made my skin BURN — which isn’t normal for that kind of mask, I guess. But as soon as I said something, she removed it, and then used a more gentle mask. Much better. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fall asleep from the soothing and lovely face massage. Because I totally did.
This place is super super super SMALL, though, and I didn’t love that about it. It felt a bit like getting undressed in my neighbor’s spare room with no door, so that was a little awkward. The facial was great though, and everyone was nice.
I’m not a super pamper-​myself kind of person, but I’d consider going back — especially if I needed a facial!

I can hardly see through my beautifully long, lush eyelashes to write this review update! That’s because I had Nora install (what is the word for this service?!) eyelash extensions on me and the result is an eyelash line so full and long that I could throw away all my mascara and wake up everyday looking like a soap star. Seriously these things are the best beauty invention ever.
I’m a baby about beauty regimes. I mean, they are called regimes so you know it’s not gonna be pleasant and I also have eyes that tear up quite easily which means that I was a trifle afraid about getting my eyelashes done. And while the process of getting eyelash extensions is quite long (about an hour for a half set and almost two hours for a full set) I think it was worth it thanks to Nora’s gentle touch. She is also more than happy to give you breaks as needed for using the bathroom, standing up and stretching, or getting a drink. All you have to do is ask.
This was my first time for getting eyelash extensions and they are definitely a «splurge» item, but now that they are in I can get fills every 3 weeks or so for a reasonable price and I think they are a guilty pleasure that I will continue indulging in.

I had a facial here yesterday. It was a little tough to actually book the appointment– I called twice and no answer after I booked online to see if they accepted my appointment, as I didn’t get a confirmation email. I then physically stopped by; the door was open but no one was at the front desk and I kind of yelled to the back, but no one was there. I called again and no mention was made of my previous appointment I had booked online, so I didn’t really worry about it.
I have had a ton of facials at both small places (like here), esthetician schools, and the fancy, where you are served lunch and it is tres fancy. Jennifer was relaxing and had a nice touch; I had the facial extraordinaire. They use the Sanitas skin care line which has some nice products. The pumpkin mask tingled and did turn my face red, but once removed, I didn’t seem to have any adverse effects– sometimes Sanitas really irritates my sensitive skin, so I was happy a product was chosen that took my sensitive skin into account.
She did a great job of waxing my brows. It was a little warm in the room and there was also some problems with the music clicking on and off. It is a good deal for a facial and an eyebrow wax– $ 70.
