A Man With A Van

Alex and Armondo came out to move us into our new home and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Both men were courteous, polite, and professional. They got our entire 22′ truck unloaded and our bed assembled in just over 2 hours. They were hustling while also being respectful of corners in the house and the fragility of the furniture. We will definitely be referring A Man With a Van to anyone that needs amazing service! Thank you so much!

We used this company to move three times and each time the service was exemplary. The owners came to give us an estimate, we used their reasonably-​priced boxes (wardrobes are free if you remove your clothes the same day the movers deliver) and the movers were splendid: efficient, respectful, careful with our furniture and household goods and more than willing to please. Alex, Lupe, Roberto, Dwayne, Matt… superior workers.

The craziest thing in the world happened to me… twice. I called a Man with a Van and they showed up, on time, BOTH TIMES and were professional. In the world of movers thats like finding a unicorn.
Awesome, professional, on time, careful with my belongings, reasonably priced. It is literally the only two times in my life, I haven’t wanted to send the movers away and do it myself.

Once Upon a time there lived a young man and woman. This couple have been together for a little over a year and were on the road to spend the rest of their lives together.
This couple «like any couple» tried asking for help moving and of course all their friends were busy.
About 1 week before their lease was up on their apartment they decided to do some shopping and check for the cheapest moving company in the Denver area… He ended up hearing about A Man With A Van from a friend whom he worked with «who of course was busy on the move out date too».
So the couple decided to give A Man With A Van a call. Once they did, they instantly made their schedule revolve around the couple.
MOVING DAY
So, the big day came quicker then the couple planned. A Man With A Van were right on time. They ended up helping the couple finish packing, clean, and of course moved everything out of their apartment. ALL was completed under an hour and a half and the 2 man crew who helped the young couple out were very polite, quick, and VERY knowledgeable at what they were doing. When all was said and done, the young couple was VERY satisfied with the job that was done

Overall, a really good experience. Came recommended by our Office Manager, who used them once personally for her apartment, and then again to move our office to a new location.
The only thing to be careful of is the over-​the-​phone quote. I thought I was upfront and clear about the amount of stuff needing moving and the logistics of the origin/​destination buildings, but when the movers arrived after another big job, they estimated it would take twice the time quoted for this one-​plus bedroom move across town. I wasn’t in a position to make other arrangements, so together we decided to reschedule for the next morning when they’d be fresh to work faster and could bring a third man. I *really* appreciated this flexibility and thoughtfulness toward my budget.
It was $ 115 per hour for 3 hard-​working men, which seems reasonable, but I admit I didn’t have time to research competitor rates at all and just booked on the recommendation. They came armed with plenty of extra blankets and moving supplies, and I had a second dolly which helped it go faster. The destination was a serious pain… a third-​floor 1930s walk-​up with narrow winding stairs, but they got everything — including an upright piano — up quickly and carefully.
The guys were awesome: nice, professional, thoughtful, dedicated, and smiling even while carrying some seriously heavy stuff. I felt like they really gave everything they could to ensure I had the best move possible. Thanks so much Tomo, Josh, and Nathan! Would definitely hire this crew again.

This is a great company. I have used them for small jobs like moving a piano and big jobs like moving a whole house full of crap probably ten times over the years and have had nothing but great experiences. I have also referred them to lots of friends and no one has ever had anything but praise. If you are looking for a trustworthy, reliable and affordable moving company then these are your guys. I worked as a mover in college and know how much of a grind it can be for the guys on the truck. You would never know it from anyone I ever met from Man with a Van. They’ve been nothing but courteous, professional and fast without scratching the floors or dropping the box full of china!

These guys were awesome! Arrived about 15 min early and worked hard the entire time. We had three big dudes show up and just power hauled all of our boxes and heavy items like it was nothing. I’m not kidding. I saw two of them move an old plasma TV that had to be over 100 lbs. all by himself like it was nothing.
What I really appreciated is the time and care they took when moving in our new place. It is our first home and still very pristine in condition. They didn’t touch a single wall or scrape up any of our new wood floors. Even took the door off the hinges to fit in the big stuff. Hard, smart, workers, would definitely use them again! Although now that we bought a house I’m hoping we do not have to move again for a long long time!

A few years ago we used A Man with A Van and had a very positive experience.
So…when we moved this weekend only 4 blocks way from our current apartment-​I decided to use them again (as my husband was away in Ireland for a funeral during the move).
The two employees arrived only 5 minutes late so I thought we were off to a good start. They surveyed our small one bedroom apartment and immediately the older gentleman told me it would probably be double the price I was quoted. I said let’s see how it goes. I am not sure if it was because I was female and alone, that he thought he could scam me a little? I am not really sure. My husband was a mover years ago and I know it’s a tough job. I’ve moved stuff myself many times. I’m no moving bumpkin.
Anyways, at 8:15 am they told me they have forgotten their moving pads and had to go back to retrieve. They returned at 9:05 am. They were done loading everything shortly before 10am.
We were moving from a first floor apartment to a second floor apartment, but I can tell you the stairs are not steep on the second floor apartment.
The employees also mentioned more than once that they had done a 13 hour job the day before. While I sympathize, it really had nothing to do with us and we were only a two hour job anyways.
They wound up keeping a t. v entertainment center of ours because they said they wouldn’t be able to fit it up the stairs of our new place. And this is without even attempting to try first. Now, it was recent second-​hand gift and I was so tired at that point I believed them-​and told them to keep it. I wasn’t attached to it. While at our old apartment, I had given J. our portable swamp cooler (as our new place has central a/​c) as well.
Anyways, then J. said our sofa bed would definitely not fit up the stairs. I told him it would probably fit, especially since it had fit through a stairwell half the size (without removing the legs) in NYC. It took about 10 minutes of convincing for them to even attempt. My brother-​in-​law and sister had shown up by then and asked them to please try as well. And guess what? It fit without a problem!
The movers handed off light stuff to them, to bring up the stairs as well. At that point we just wanted them to be done with it
They charge $ 85 an hour so I wasn’t about to ask them to go back down and get the entertainment center. I was really fed up at that point.
In the end, I was charged $ 233.00 for 2 hours and 15 minutes (drive time). I gave them each a $ 40 tip because I am not heartless and I believe in karma. But honestly, I am a little bitter about the whole experience.
