5280 Nails & Spa

This is the best nail place in Denver. I’ve been going there for about a year now and have never been disappointed by a manicure. Oliver is usually my technician and he does a wonderful job! The last time I went in, he had a customer so I had another technician, but I forgot to ask her nam (I got a new set of acrylics with a coffin shape and a very transparent pink gel polish). She did amazing, too! I always recieve compliments on my nails from friends and coworkers so I always refer this establisment. Such professional service and technique from all staff I’ve encountered! Plus, my nails or the polish never chip or break. Best place, for sure!

I found this salon on Unilocal and they had really high reviews so I decided to try it. I’ve been to many salons with not so great service they do an OK job but just ok. I had a manicure and pedicure and Tina T did my shellac manicure. It is the best manicure I’ve ever had! She took her time, painted them perfectly and they look beautiful! It was a very good experience, everyone was very friendly it was a clean place and timely service. I will definitely be going back and I will definitely be referring them to anyone I know that’s looking for a great salon! Tina t was amazing

Overall a very good experience here getting a manicure and pedicure with a girlfriend. Seemed hygienic and professional. When I left I was very satisfied. I had asked for simply clear polish on my fingers. I noticed that they were using a no-​name clear polish but didn’t think much of it. Imagine my horror when the clear polish turned practically orange! Note to owners — please use quality (non-​yellowing) top and base coat! It completely wrecked my previously lovely manicure and could have stained my nails.

Recently purchased a mani/​pedi for my girlfriend and her daughter. They did a great job and the two of them had a wonderful experience.

Came here from Unilocal suggestions before a wedding. I can’t remember who my tech was but she did an amazing job.
My least favorite feature of other nail salons during pedicures is the focus on the calves — some of us just want a foot rub, not a 10 minute long beating of our shins.
I got a classic pedi and it lasted almost 2 weeks. Will be back the next time I want to treat myself.

Phoebe is the best nail tech that I’ve ever had in all of Denver. I’ve been to about 40 nails salons and have had at least 100 different techs over the years. No one compares to her gel manicures! They are flawless plus she’s a sweetheart! I’m picky about my nails and I’ve never had one complaint in the 8 months that I’ve been going to her. The owner keeps his shop clean and is attentive which is great also.

Two weeks later and my shellac is still looking good!
I was in a bind and needed my nails done stat. After getting turned away somewhere else, I decided to try 5280 Nails. Thankfully, they had plenty of staff on hand and we got started right away. I wish I would’ve gotten the name of my manicurist because she was so sweet and friendly.
The price point is competitive and they have a wide variety of colors to choose from.
Long story short, I’d definitely come back when my nails are in need!

I used to be a regular here when I lived in the area. I’ve since moved 30 minutes away. While in the area yesterday, I stopped in for a pedicure. This place always was and still is managed impeccably. Service with a smile, quick, and friendly. I was offered a water and a chair right away. Quality pedicure had me wanting to drool/​fall asleep/​cry, it felt so good. My toesies look perfect. I miss this place! I will be back. It was worth the drive.

I don’t leave Unilocal reviews often… But I was reading the reviews here and saw that the manager reads each one, so I’d like to give some constructive feedback!
First of all, every time I have gone to this salon I have had a good experience! I’ve been going here for the last year and drive 30 mins just to get here. They have great customer service and they never seemed rushed even if they are very busy. They are the first salon I’ve gone to that has completed beautiful designs too– Pinterest style too. :) I want to be able to give them 5 stars, but I have a few suggestions.
A few suggestions for the owners:
–Every single time I’ve gotten a pedicure, I have to ask for them to use the orange callus remover (you know the heavy duty one). The main reason I get pedicures is because of the heel dry skin and callus removal. I have to wait until they are already done using the other one and then touch the bottom of my heels and ask for them to use the heavy duty one as my heels are still rough. You should ask your techs to ask which callus remover the customer would prefer or have them make a better judgment call.
–Designs: almost everyone is on Pinterest these days and they have the cutest nail designs. They also have special tapes, tools, and other instructions and suggestions on how to complete most designs. It would be amazing if 5280 nails could get some of those tapes to do those special chevron or other designs. There has been 2 occasions now where the tech has been unable to complete the design as I wanted it. I know the salon would have a lot of interest if it did!
–Lastly, have you all looked into a liquor license? The salon I used to go to in South Carolina offered mimosas with your pedicures. They made a TON of money. Would be so fun to be able to get a Sunday pedicure and have a mimosa :)
Overall, a wonderful experience!

The deluxe pedicure is worth the «relax environment» ;-) As good as it gets for a guy.

The service here is paramount. It is sanitary, the people are well trained and kind. I have been here twice. A gel nail full set cost around $ 35 and the owner always speaks to you as if he remembers who you are. (:
I am sure they have tons of business. Every service they give you a massage with warm lotion which is amazing! They do provide a punch card and provide 2 hours of parking for free. I would recommend this business to anyone seeking a great place to treat yourself.

This place is horrible and disgusting. The lady who was working on my hands had nail fungus. (I work in the health care field and I know what nail fungus is). I was not able to get a picture. Then she tossed the OLD and DIRTY water from the manicure into the pedicure water. That is not SANITARY. I could not enjoy my manicure or pedicure anymore.
I had to pay about $ 65+ for a horrible gel manicure and regular pedicure.

I have had a really hard time finding a affordable nail place that does a good job. These guys are a little in the mid range as far as price, but worth every penny!
The staff are friendly, the place is CLEAN, and my gel manicure lasted over two weeks, so so so much better than a lot of the cheaper options in the area.
They are not close to my house, but close to work, so I will come back. They also offer a lunch card option for frequent customers!

I don’t know how I keep forgetting to write a review for this place… They’re amazing! I have been coming here for a couple of months now and each time is great. The massages are nice, it is clean here, the water for my feet is warm and a guy offers water every time. I just simply love it here. We always get the deluxe pedi and I feel so pampered once it is all said and done. I don’t get many manis but I did once and it, too, was great. The girl was friendly and the conversation was nice. I def think this is the place to go in Denver!

This place was cool & had my business until I randomly started getting charged extra for «shape» & they can’t explain why I didn’t get the charge during my last 5 visits. They also need new help at their front desk — that guy is not cut out for customer service. Adiós 5280.

For $ 60 this is the place to go for a pedicure. They use hot stones, paraffin wax, aveda spa lotions, soak your feet in lemon and tea. And massage your feet, legs and hands all while you sit in a comfy massage chair. The staff is friendly, the location is clean and all supplies are brought out in sealed hygienic bags. You feel respected and welcome. If I could swing it every two weeks I would! Unfortunately, this will have to be a once a month expenditure. It’s a friendly place that welcomes, Women, Men and children. I’ve seen all three getting pedicures! Kids pedicures are only $ 15! I’m looking forward to my next trip back!

Certainly clean and thorough. You won’t feel like you’re on a factory assembly line here like at other salons. They take their time and do a good job. My friend fell asleep during her pedicure – it was that relaxing.
I recommend an appointment, as they get busy. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

As a previous cosmetologist with 70% of my work being nail related, I am always leery about trying new places and checking sanitation and business practices.
5280 has very much impressed me. I’ve been there twice now, both times with my 20 year old daughter for pedicures and basic manicures the first time and pedicures only the second time.
Both experiences were wonderful for both of us.
The salon is clean, the staff friendly, (they offer you bottled water during your service) and very attentive.
They do little extras like wrap your feet in warm towels prior to polishing your toenails!
They also have a punchcard, so your tenth service is free!
They offer 2 hour free parking out back as well as a few spots out front.
If you are looking for place to relaxed a pamper yourself a bit, try out 5280!

I so badly wanted to give 5280 Nails and Spa five stars, but unfortunately my last experience was sub par.
The first time I went, at the end of my services, my feet, hands, every cuticle and nail, were immaculate. The nails were shaped the way I asked, painted perfectly, my cuticles clipped gently away, all topped off with a massage. It was bliss.
Unfortunately, the last time I went was not as so heavenly. It was rushed, and frustrating. Stressful even. I came away with wonky toe nails, cut too short, with a decent gel polish job. I did get a foot scrub and a leg massage, but it lasted about two seconds. The girl who provided my service seemed bored and just in a rush to get things over with.
In the middle of my pedicure, my nail technician finished up with his last client. He came over and, long story short, did an okay job. I showed him a picture of the nail shape I wanted and he just looked confused. Then, he started filing my nails in to a completely different shape. I asked him to make them look natural and he said they did. Then, he moved on to the next step.
When all the structural work was done, I asked if he could help me find a nude polish in gel or shellac and he just nodded at me. He had no idea what I was saying and I had no idea what to do, so I just kept my mouth shut and let him start painting my nails. He did an okay job, but the polish didn’t reach the cuticles on some nails. There were also little bubbles in the paint when the nails dried. (Also, he didn’t cut my cuticles and the powder acrylic he used to shape the nail (over the nail bed and plastic tip) was way too thick.
Also, they don’t take AMEX. I felt stupid for not carrying cash (even though I had just gone in on a whim, so it was unplanned), and when I told the receptionist that was my only card, I felt terrible about it as she fumbled to find words. I held my hands up in the air, in an act of surrender to the universe, and told her I would have my boyfriend pick me up, so he could bring me cash.
I feel like an a**hole posting all this because they were all so nice. I didn’t complain and gave a good tip. I’m just so frustrated with nails salons in Denver. They need to slow down, pay attention to what the client is asking for, and make sure that everything they are doing is their best. Because they are so so nice and would do so much better if they could just do that.
So thanks 5280, but I’m moving on.

I’m a professional model who travels a lot and is tough on my hands and feet. I was looking for a top notch manicurist in Denver who was up to date with the latest nail trends while making nail health a priority — I found her — and her name is Nicola.
Seriously, she’s amazing. Best mani/​pedi of my life.
The salon as a whole is super clean and everyone is friendly and helpful.
