Wiggly Field Dog Park

It’s constantly covered in dog poop, but hey, it’s a dog park. If you’re mad about that, get over it. It’s a park for dogs.
This place is pretty cool because there’s areas for large, small, and dogs that have to be separated for whatever reason. It’s near a lake and some woods for extra fun.

I absolutely love this place. I like taking my dog who is quite small to play with other dogs her size. They have a few sections divided up for small dogs, and larger dogs, but both sections are still pretty big. There are plenty of water fountains for people and dogs and bags for picking up their poop. The owners of the other dogs are always so welcoming and nice, and we’ll all share dog stories and tips and it’s just a great time. I can’t wait to take my dog back!

My husband Allen and our dog Boudreaux enjoy going to this park. It’s well designed with benches, picnic tables, trees as well as separate fenced dog areas for smaller dogs, tiny dogs– and Big Dawgs ! They have water fountains and poop bags! Just a great place for dogs to socialize and play — your dog must be vaccinated to go in the park!

Loved this dog park! Trees, lots of benches, hills, and a pond in back that dogs can cool off in. We played in the large dog area even though our dog is medium sized, as the large dog area has the most shade. Oh yeah, and this dog park actually has shade!

Nice park. The big and small dogs often mingle, and I’ve never seen a fight break out. Everyone picked up their pups’ poop. I’d be a regular here if we didn’t live in Dallas.

My first impression of this place wasn’t the greatest as I walked right in and stopped I quickly realized I was standing in dog poop. People could definitely do a better job of cleaning up after their dogs. Overall, had a good experience here though. I brought my 4 month old Tosa Inu puppy to the park. He really didn’t want much to do with the other dogs but he really enjoyed meeting all the friendly people.
The dogs were more well behaved than I’m accustomed to at dog parks. The only negative was at the end of the day one dog noticed my puppy was timid and was trying to pick on him but that’s going to happen from time to time with dogs and the dog’s owner was cognizant of this and took control of his dog.
I like that they have a large separate area for dogs trying to get acclimated to the dog park without having to go into the main area with the rest of the dogs.

I absolutely LOVE this dog park! My dog loves this dog park. Yes, people are pretty lax about picking up after their dog, but that happens at EVERY dog park so I can’t find evidence enough to downgrade my rating for that.
Yes, fights happen here, but we are also putting a lot of dogs with different personalities in a relatively small space so, once again, this happens at ANY dog park. Can’t lessen my rating for that.
I can understand why people don’t like others bringing their small children to this park, and I can agree. This is probably not the best place for children, but once again, any dog park that happens AND that has nothing to do with the park itself.
I LOVE that this park has a pond and trails behind it. People need to keep in mind that even this part of the park is a part of the dog park. Dogs will be off leash back here. I can understand people’s concern, but if you’re so scared of dogs being off leash, you probably shouldn’t be frequenting a dog park.
Overall, i LOVE this dog park and recommend it to everyone with a pooch!

Our dog loves this park. He’s usually a little anti-​social, he’s a hound mix and all he wants to do his sniff at everything, but he actually plays with all the other dogs at this park. It’s huge and he loves to run from one end of the park to the other, playing with the other dogs and saying hi to all the dog people. I think the park is well maintained and, while some people do bring many dogs with them, everyone is usually getting along when I’m there. I’ve been about 7 times over the last 30 days.
There’s plenty of parking, benches and shade trees for summertime. One tidbit of advice is be sure to bring water for your pooch during the winter months as the fountains don’t run during this time of year.

This is a great place for dogs to get their energy out, but the owners are a lot of the time incredibly irresponsible. My dog today was kicked hard in the ribs by the owner of two small dogs who were in the over 30lb enclosure. The small dogs were rightfully scared to be around the other large dogs and should never have been there in the first place.
I will always recommend this park to responsible owners who keep a close eye on their pets when they are there. It is a great place for the dogs to socialize and it is very well maintained in my opinion.
PLEASE be careful so this terrible thing doesn’t happen to your animal!

I don’t have a dog but I love this place for the short hiking trails! Fairly peaceful out here :)

VERY WELL maintained and upkept. Has three large seperate areas for all size dogs. Has a pond for swimming and beautiful trails. Never crowded and nice people. My favorite dog park by far.

I love coming to the dog park. I DON’T love the owners that neglect to use leashes on their way to each fenced section. Would the owner like some random human running up to them, unsure of whether they were safe? I just wish owners would be more responsible in that area. There is a leash law for a reason, dog park or not. Other than that this is great place to take the pups.

All I read is people saying their small dogs are afraid when big dogs come to play. I’m sure you also pick them up which is even worse. I’ve been taking my dog here a lot and she gets picked on sometimes but you can’t baby them. The park is great to socialize your dog! It’s spacious and the pond in the back is a must.

Great dog park! Lots of space and clean atmosphere.
They added magnets to the doors so that they can’t swing open in the wind anymore.
There is nothing bad that you can say about this place! However, just like any other dog park you have to look out for the irresponsible pet owners that let their aggressive/​untrained dogs in.
I’ve heard that they treat the grounds for fleas/​ticks, but during the summer months you are bound to come across some. So make sure that you treat your own dog!

My dogs love a trip to Wiggly Field. We only go to the small dog park, because we live in a small dog world. The pups play together and good time is had by all.
Sucky people don’t clean up after their dogs, but I just watch my step.
So far, I have been impressed with the dog manners and responsibility of the owners.

We LOVE this place! Really spacious as far as dog parks go, and I often see a large amount of dogs there for mine to play with. I love the atmosphere and the scenery — we always have a great time and see a lot of other regulars there.
Biggest complaint: no one cleans up after their dogs! It’s disgusting. The last time we were there, our dog ended up getting sick the very same day and the vet said it was probably from the dog park since everyone leaves their dog’s stuff everywhere. I wish everyone would clean up!

I went during day hours on a weekday with my small dog. While waiting for another couple with their 2 dogs to leash their dogs in the leash/​unleash pen one of the ignorant owners let their large dog right out the gate, not even caring to leash it with the leash in her hand. It jumped my small dog in supposed play, wherein my small dog panicked and had quite the frightening experience. The owner just laughed and said «My dog is really playful!» I don’t care what your dog is – LEASH IT LIKE THE RULES SAY. After that, my dog was shaking and too scared to go in the small dog area (where there were zero dogs).
I took him for a walk around the gravel path, but another ignorant owner had their Husky off leash on the trail. Luckily, he gained a brain cell and put the leash on his dog in time before it came to my dog.
On my way to my car another car pulled up and let their Lab jump right out of their car without a leash. I made it to my car in time with my little dog, just as their Lab was reaching my car door.
THREE DOGS OFF LEASH, ALL WHICH RAN FOR MY DOG AND MYSELF, IN A MATTER OF HALF AN HOUR ON A WEEKDAY. Imagine what it’s like during high peak times. Oh yeah, dog poop everywhere, even when there’s bags provided.
Don’t put your dog at risk. Like another review said, owners are too disinterested in their pet’s own safety. Do you think they even care about your pet’s safety?

The park itself is great and my dogs love it! We go one a week and they love running here! Please pick up after your dog and do not bring children or food into the gates… read the signs. it is for a reason and for everyones safety!!! Other than that its a great time

So I’ve been looking for some trails to run and saw this park listed as a possible route. There are 2 large fenced in dog parks and a small tank (man made pond for city folk). If you follow the white gravel it takes you through a little loop that boarders the park. However, I have been venturing off the beaten path to these warn down thin trails as this is what I heard is the better running trails. They aren’t very long (that I can tell) but today one led me to a red rock/​clay road where it looks like redne… eh I mean people, bring their four wheelers. It’s very rocky and while I did find a steep hill that might have been good to ‘run hills’ (runners thing) I think it’s too rocky to risk injury.
So as for dog park it looks pretty nice. For running its OK, not very long. The white gravel from parking lot to the farthest end is probably .6 miles. Plus side is the shaded route. Not meant for anything over a quick 2 miler.
Word to dog owners: I too am a dog owner and fully believe in spay/​neutering your animal. However, if you don’t then you should know that Dog Park 101 rules deem do NOT bring your unfixed dog to a dog park. It causes problems. Courts don’t care who started the fight, they care about who was least responsible with their pet. They’re dogs. Not humans. There’s not much room for argument. Get them fixed or stay away. (Heard some doggie drama recently)

I have been to this dog park probably 10 times since my last review. Over time I have become really bummed out by this dog park. Wiggly Field has a mix of people with really well taken care of dogs and people that don’t give a crap about what their dog is doing at any time.
My #1 problem with this park: Tons of people bringing babies into the park! This past time I went I saw two babies knocked over and stepped on by dogs. Not because the dog was even paying attention to the baby, just because it was chasing another dog and it knocked the kid down. It really makes me so nervous to watch people let their small kids just stand there with all these strange dogs.
#2 problem with this park: There is always a dog fight. I realize that at all parks the dogs get into little fights. However, at this park, there is a 50% chance that the owner won’t do a damn thing about their dog biting at yours.
I will probably still take my dog here if I can’t make it out to White Rock. I’ll just probably be stressed out the whole time that my dog is going to knock over a baby or get bothered by another dog.
