Schmitz Jack & Son Mulkey Mason Funeral Home

My father passed away recently and we chose Mulkey-​Mason because we were long-​time friends of the previous owner (Mr. Mason). Our first contact was with Breck, who was very kind and helpful However, we then dealt with the owner, Dean Mulkey, for visitation and the funeral service. Mr. Mulkey is in the wrong business! He is abrupt, rude, and has not one whit of empathy much less sympathy for the bereaved. Clearly his only concern is his financial gain at the expense of families of the departed. He managed to offend three members of my family within a matter of hours and the way he treated my Mom at the graveside was appalling. Several non-​family commented on the terrible way he spoke to her and treated her. There are other options for funeral homes in Denton and I would advise anyone who needs one to look elsewhere. I can’t imagine any of them being worse than Dean Mulkey! Also – one of their employees’ mother-​in-​law owns Crickette’s Flowers and when unsuspecting friends/​family call Mulkey-​Mason for referrals for florists, only Crickette’s is recommended without any disclosure as to the relationship…
