The staff was amazing, they put me at ease and were very friendly. I didn’t want to deal with the long wait at the hospital and went here to deal with a huge sliver in my foot. If I have an accident again, I will definitely be coming here. Thank you all for being so awesome.

I went here today feeling very I’ll and just the sweetness and compassion that was shown to me by every person that worked there made me feel better… my nurse Carrie was so nice and the Doctor made me feel like he really care about what was going on… at least 5 people told me they hoped I felt better soon… I highly recommend them

I have been to this Care Now facilities 6 times since we moved to Lantana, they have always been prompt calling me when I check in online.
I cannot say enough good things for Amy Vanzee and the staff at the Denton location.
They went out of there way to help me with my allergies.

I had a great experience. The web checkin worked well. I have the app on my phone that I use to checkin. They called immediately after I submitted my request and said the wait was about 2 hours and they would call me when they were ready for me to head that way. They called about an hour and a half later and when I arrived I only waited a few minutes before they called me in. I didn’t have to wait long to see the Dr. and she was confident it her diagnosis. The whole experience took less than 30 mins. The staff is very professional. They even called me a few days later to see how I was feeling. 5 stars!

most EDs treat respiratory distress with immediate urgency, dealing with paperwork as the patient’s being treated. And this place used to respond that way as well. Not today though.
Front desk insisted on paperwork before letting the nurse or doctor know.
I’ll give them credit for quickly getting us into a room after that, but there’s still a wait for a simple albuteral or xopenex treatment. Shouldn’t take another 30 minutes to get a nebulizer set up and running. (and still waiting) That’s a rubber stamp procedure for any emergency room. This is precisely what places like this are intended to deal with.
The last time I used these guys, after three hours post Web checkin with no callback, had to dump them and go to Denton Regional.

Went in on a Saturday AM. I was a walk in and not the first one there. I was in need of some medical attention.
Got taken back in about 30 minutes and saw several of the staff. Doc was professional but obviously busy. Care was efficient.
Thought it took a bit longer than it should have for me to get through the visit process but I am getting better and that was the goal.
This place is not your family doctor so don’t expect them to ask about Aunt Mabel, this place is also not an ER (they don’t fix broken bones) it is an Urgent Care. They deal with all sorts of middle of the road stuff and things a normal doctor can’t. They get busy, they need to file forms and deal with others in need of care. My experience is they are as fast as they can be most of the time.
I have used them in the past and will use them again when they are the right option to solve a medical issue I have.

This place is a waste of time. The Doctors have no experience and failed to diagnose a simple case of bronchitis after 2 visits. We went back for the 3^rd time the next day in the morning, the Doctors wanted us to pay for a new visit again and we were just there the night before.
With each visit, the Doctor spent 3 minutes or less in the room. They didn’t even use a stethoscope. They call you after your visit to see how you are doing but they don’t really care. If you have problems and want to go back, they will make you pay again.
We found that it’s better off to wait and go to a family Doctor. Or go to the hospital.
We got much better care there.

Dr. Conn was very helpful and got me back on my way quickly. The Web check in saved me so much time in a waiting room I was in and out in no time.

My initial wait time was an hour and a half. A bit long but with their call system you can go about doing something else and they will call you when they are ready for your appointment. Fine good, then I spent the next hour and half seeing a total of four people who between them I spent maybe twenty minutes of the hour and a half I was there with. This place is a complete show ran by nurse practitioners who are so new to the medical field they cant wipe their own nose without approval of the single actual doctor on site, WHO I NEVER SAW. There are more than enough urgent care centers in the area do yourself a favor and go to a different one.

I HATE CareNow. But out of the ones I’ve been to, this is the WORST one. It shouldn’t be called «CareNow», it should be called «CareLater», because that’s exactly the kind of service you will get! I have been to this location twice – both for the same reason, and the wait was an hour the first time. This last time it was a good two and a half hours. It wasn’t until I remembered that I had been there before when I realized I might be waiting for awhile. I’m pretty sure I sat through one whole movie. There’s a sign on one of the doors saying patients who are there to see the physician may be seen first. Well, I doubt everyone was there to see the physician, which there is probably only one on staff and about five nurse practitioners. I sat and watched people walk in and walk out, all there after me! One guy was there to get a flu shot – guess what? He was in and out! I was there to pee in a cup – guess what? My ass sat in that chair and didn’t get up! I got there around one and didn’t leave until 1530; I was very anxious to get out of there because I didn’t want to get caught in that horrible traffic! Luckily I got out and there wasn’t any! When I finally got called back the girl was trying to be nice to me and apologize, but I was so pissed I didn’t say anything because I knew whatever would come out of my mouth would not be pretty. My advice to CareNow Denton: Get it together! I’ve been to a few other drug testing places before (Quest Diagnostics, CPL, etc.) and I was out within thirty minutes. It doesn’t take long to pee in a cup, label it, and package it. If you know you have to go to this location, bring a book, your phone, a DVD player, a fishing pole, whatever, you WILL be waiting. I hope to never have to deal with this place again. Trust me, if I didn’t have to go to this location, I wouldn’t have.

My family and I all use CareNow and have for many years. They can always get you in even if your regular physician can’t. My recent experience, after slicing my finger open, I called to make sure they do stitches and they said yes. I did not even have to wait and was told to come straight there. I checked in did the paperwork as they escorted me to the back area. I am not much with needles or lots of blood like was coming from my finger. It was absolutely the only time I was stitched up and did not feel anything after being numbed. I thank them for that.

I woke up this morning with my eye swollen and it hurt to close it. I went to work and it got worst through out the day. Did the web check in, waited an hour for them to call me, spent two hours in the office, 30 minutes of that just waiting for my discharge papers, to be misdiagnosed! I had my grandmother, who is LVN, look at my eye later that night because I didn’t want to take steroids if I didn’t need them. My grandmother look at for 5 seconds and told me it was a sty! I’m sure glad I asked my grandmother instead of listening to the nurse practitioner at Care Now.
I spent $ 75 copay plus the $ 12 for medication I didn’t even need. Waste of time. Next time I’ll go to real doctor who knows what they are doing. If I get a bill for my visit I sure as hell won’t be paying it.

Checked in at 2:55pm and then had to wait 2 ½ hours just to see a doctor and I’m still not out of here and. it’s 8pm. Will not be coming back to this place.

I’ve been here many times over the past few years and every single person I come in contact with is always extremely kind and caring. They get me in fast and get me what I need. The nurses are always very good at giving shots and the doctors are never rude or condescending. Also, they usually don’t ask «How are you doing today?» which is nice, because I usually am doing awful if I have to go to urgent care. They always take care of me and give me the medicine and advice I need to get better.

I have read your concerns and evaluated your case with the physician and staff members involved. After careful evaluation I found that the physician’s initial care and treatment were appropriate. However, in the interest of patient satisfaction, I have authorized a refund of $ 25 and clear any remaining balance. Your refund check will be mailed to you directly. if you have any further comments, please send them to me in writing at the address below.
Please be aware we strive to provide caring and cost effective medical treatment to all of our patients and hope that you will allow us the opportunity to care for your needs in the future.

So a couple of thoughts as I read the message.. .
1) The debt has been zeroed out — so the primary objective has been cleared.
2) I seem to be getting my copay back. Not sure why. That was never requested. And I was certainly responsible for that. I’ve spent more than $ 25 of time in the back and forth between calls to Carenow and my insurance company so I’ll take it.
3) And perhaps most strikingly — It’s clear that the CMO was looking at this from a quality of care complaint vs. a billing/​marketing disconnect. The response references «I found the physican’s initial care and treatment were appropriate.» Granted this is probably form text. Is what it is. But theres nothing in either the statement or this letter indicating what the complaint was about. It had nothing to do with some concern about how my annual physical was given. It was *only* how I went to Carenow for this physical because their website here (
) and (
) — along with other places — reference how they provide ‘family care’ services separate from their ‘urgent care’ offerings. And it seemed like a convenient low cost option to take advantage of.
Care Now billing, on the other hand, decided what was marketed as «family care» service as instead «urgent care» when they submitted it to my insurance company. A claim that (rightfully so) was denied because my insurance company (again rightfully so) doesnt consider an annual physical to be «urgent». A claim that I consider to be fraudulent given how that’s not the service I asked or received.
********Had the claim been submitted accurately as the family care service for which I actually received — it would have been quickly approved by the insurance company, Carenow would have their money. And this review probably wouldnt be out here.********
I voiced this complaint to three (3) individuals at the Care Now Denton location. All either didnt seem to comprehend, or otherwise just didn’t see the issue as, well an issue. The third of those people being the Clinic Manager — who to her credit, did actually try to help (where the first 2 didnt.) And she was quick to escalate the issue to the billing dept and ultimately to the CMO. And I am very grateful for that as the end result wipes out a bogus $ 300 debt.
But she didnt seem get it either. At one point also saying (at the direction of the billing team) that it was my insurance company’s fault for denying the claim with the comment «more and more insurance companies are denying physicals and other treatments». And that «this ‘new’ [insurance company] policy is being looked at closer to see where better patient communication of the risk that the physical would not be covered by insurance.»
Neither of which is really true. No reason why an annual physical (or any kind of the family care services advertised here (
) and (
) — along with other places — should ever be billed as urgent care. Should be billed for what they are. Not the marketing ‘gimmick’ intended to game the healthcare system for a few extra bucks
THAT was crusk my complaint. Zero to do with the quality of care. And clearly the CMO either didnt get the message. Didnt understand the message. Or didnt care about the message.
Not sure where the disconnect is or was. That’s where we’re at now.
I have a zero balance on the account (or at least a letter that says I should). Carenow has not admitted fault for the disconnect between what they’re marketing, the services their providing — and what they are claiming to my insurance company.
And Im still at the end of this review saying — still — Buyer beware.

The folks at CareNow were helpful and had me in and out in no time! I will definitely be back next time I’m sick!

Late Monday night I called only to receive a very RUDE front desk girl, made an appointment and went in with the same thing I previously went in for. Sinus infection. I have pressure in my left ear due to how my sinuses drain. note: this was after sitting in the room for two hours. I got my boyfriend in the lobby to have them check on me. He said people that were there after me were in and out while I still haven’t been seen. Dr. Jason Conn looked in my ear with his flashlight, looked at my red swollen throat with white blisters on it then sat down and told me «it’s not sinuses, you are going deaf in your left ear. There is nothing to do about it unfortunately. I’ll refer you to an ENT»
WTF!!! Since when do you diagnose patients extremes like that by glancing with a flashlight? He refused to give antibiotics and two days later… I’m much worse and can’t get out of bed. I don’t think hearing loss makes you sick… Insane!

I try really hard not to have to go hear. The wait is Always just crazy. It blows my mind how when I take my children to an urgent care for kids (in flower mound) there is NEVER a wait, but at CareNow you have to wait at least an hour. The staff isn’t overly friendly. If you can go somewhere else I would.

Let’s get one thing strait about this place… If you are expecting reasonable waiting times and friendly service, DO NOT COME HERE!
Came in possibly the sickest I’ve ever been at 10:30am and was asked to sit and wait for 30 minutes. After sitting for 30 minutes, I was told to go home and wait 2 hours till they called me to come back in. After 3 hours of waiting at home, and no phone call, I decided to call myself only to be told that they would call me back when they were ready for me. Finally, I received their call and came into the office 30 minutes later. When I arrived to their office for the second time, the brunette working the front desk basically treated me like I was a problem to her. No smile, no friendly gestures, or even a greeting. Just, «Are you returning?» And you can probably guess what she said next. «Have a seat and wait till they are ready for you.» After waiting 15 more minutes I was finally called back into a room and told that the Doctor would be with me in 10 minutes. Thirty minutes later she arrived with no apology for the wait or hassle. The Radiologist who ran my X-​Rays was full of attitude and seemed angry or frustrated, not due to me. I came in on a Wednesday morning at 10:30AM and didn’t end up leaving till 3:30−4PM. It’s safe to say, I won’t be coming back here. Terrible service.
