I had never heard of Bahama Bucks until it decided to stop in. AMAZING snow cones!!! We have been twice now, the first time was right after they opened, and of course the snow cones were great, but the service was pretty slow. I talked to the owner and she said they had only been open for a week, and she apologized profusely for the wait. So we decided to give it a little time before we went in again. The second time, two months later, was a totally different experience! The place was just as busy as before, but it appears they have ironed out the kinks in the operation.

Really unique place. We had been to the dog park and we wanted to finish our outing with ice cream. My daughter mentioned this place so we wanted to try it. You can get smoothies, lemonade(on ice and frozen), snow cone or shaved ice type thing, and then the highlight was this concoction of ice cream AND shaved ice together. I got super sour blue raspberry and my husband got super sour apple. Both were great but that Apple one was delicious! We had our 4 dogs with us so we sat on outside patio which was clean and spacious with a nice cover out of the weather. The staff brought out 2 large water containers for our dogs to make them comfortable. We ate our frozen dessert and while they were very busy, they were well staffed and moved the line fast. The girl that took my order did her job but with no enthusiasm and no personality. I was going to give a 4 star but everything else was so nice and helpful, I couldn’t dock this place because of the one person. Everyone else was eager to help. Great experience and after writing this review, I think I am going to go there now!

We were excited to see this open up pretty close to our house! However, the experience has been less than appealing. We’ve been twice now. While the quality and taste of the shaved ice has been fine in our experience, the wait times and staff friendliness is just ridiculous. The first time we went through the drive-thru, we were one of two cars. We waited 10 minutes. Last night, there were 8 cars. By the time we got to the ordering menu, there were 4 because several in front of us drove away. When we finally got to the window to receive our order, 35 minutes after we first pulled into the line(!), we waited another 5 minutes for two baby shaved ices. Why didn’t we leave? My lovely wife wanted shave ice and we didn’t have anything else better to do. The staff is super unfriendly, no «sorry for your wait» or «thank you» either trip. The owners need to quickly fix these issues or this location, like the last Denton location, will close quickly.

I have been to this location twice. It is a brand new location with a brand new crew, and while they are clearly still learning, they are very friendly and are obviously trying hard to get it right. It is a busy, busy place, so they’re having to move fast while still learning the ropes. Be patient, people – they’ll get the hang of things.

I waited about 35 minutes in the drive thru the first time I went there. The second time I went inside to see they were completely overstaffed with people standing around and talking. Overall pretty bad service. The snow cones are a good consistency but the syrup tastes very artificial and too sweet for my liking. The frozen lemonade also tastes super artificial. Will not return to Bahama Bucks.

Slow, like really slow. I counted 16 people waiting to order and 18 waiting for shaved ice. Two managers were sitting at a table chatting. One of them the blond manager/owner was bragging about how money they would make at this store and how busy they would be. They have no high chairs for babies and the shaved ice didn’t taste right. I would say keep going to Highland Village instead at least for a few months. The owners aren’t focused on customer service, this place may be short lived.

Being from Lubbock, I’ve had my fair share of Bahama Buck’s. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The staff was disorganized, rude, and had no sense of urgency. Several orders that came in after ours were served first. Considering the majority of employees were high school kids, their friends received preference in getting orders out. I will visit Bahama Bucks again, but probably not this location. I sincerely hope this is a franchisee and they focus on getting this fixed. If not, they’re seriously hurting the brand.

Pretty busy. Be ready to spend at least 20 min through the drive thru. I ordered a tigers blood icee and it didn’t taste like it should. It was super sweet and had a cough syrupy taste. I’m actually pretty disappointed with this location. The staff is pretty slow and not too friendly.

This place is absolutely terrible. If there are 5 or more cars in the drive through, it will take over an hour. If you have a line of 10+ cars outside, walk your butt out there and take orders from them to speed up the ordering process. If someone is waiting in line for twenty minutes or more, offer them a discount or a larger size for no charge. Terrible business practice. Hiring a bunch of incompetent high school kids was not a good way to get a business off the ground. How long does it take to shave ice and make a smoothie? Seriously.
