Carl, the owner of Up-​Rite Fence and Const. has been fencing for 30 years. The first company he worked for he and a fellow worker bough and renamed. Carl sold his share and formed Up-​rite fence in 1996. Most of Carl’s income comes from fencing but he dose other things. Over the years, Carl has built several pol buildings, garages and other out buildings for himself and others. He has built many custom cabinets, book cases, and tables, even has built cabinets on a boat, under the dame Doors and Drawers, Bradley Construction and Up-​Rite Fence. in 2006 he became a General Contractor and combined all his talents in to Up-​Rite Fence and Construction. Up-​Rite Fence and Construction fences are Wood, Metal, Chain Link and vinyl and have even used found wood. That way we can look at your place as we talk of your needs. They may be to protect children, pet, livestock, gardens or just your property from people, dogs, rabbits, deer, and ever bear. Fences can make a back drop for plantings or support for them. We can do fence on a pay as you go, that is do what you can afford now and do more later…

History

Established in 1996.

Carl left the Navy in 1977 and moved to Bellingham where he worked as a laborer and later as a finish carpenter. He became a cabinetmaker & opened his own shop and still does high end work. In 1987 he worked for a fence company which he & a partner bought in 1989. In 1996 Carl formed Up-​Rite Fence. He married Mary in 1998. Mary manages the office & is the sales rep. In 2006 Carl became a General Contractor and did the addition to Christ Church in Blaline for ¹⁄₃ of the cost of the nearest bid. You will see Up-​Rite Fence signs in all parts of Whatcom County and as far south as Portland, Ore. and as far west as Island County and as far east as Wanatchee.

Carl Bradley was born in 1948 in Marine, attended South Kent School in Conn. and Northeastern University in Boston Mass. receiving a B.S.ed Degree in 1971. In 1973 he joined the Navy and received his wings as a Naval Flight Officer. Carl recerved his MBA from Western Washington University in 1986. During that period he managed several businesses including Burger King. Carl is a vestry member and church organist. Carl and Mary’s intrests include grandkids, gardening and model railroading
