The Red Shredder

Dream come true. No more limited 2.5 minute home-​owned shredders. Kevin and Sharon treated me like a family-​owned business. Met Kevin and his slick shredder truck at a safe place near my home with my two full leaf sacks (equivalent of a full plastic storage tub). In a matter of minutes I witnessed my private and confidential docs permanently destroyed. Turns out Sharon is Kevin’s Mom. Both professional, engaging, and keep their promises. This is a good service. Very straightforward and simple. They gave me a few pricing options when I called including them coming to my house versus me meeting them nearby. Based on my description they were able to accurately estimate how much stuff I had to shred. The next day I called back and they offered me an appointment less than an hour from my call. The process took only 5 minutes. The operator unloaded the stuff from my trunk. I was able to watch the documents get shredded on a little TV Monitor outside the truck. Very cool process. Great price. Easy to deal with. If you have a decent amount of paperwork you need gone, this is a great option.

I called the Red Shredder and they were able to come to my house the very next day! I cleaned out my home and got rid of a lot of personal documents and did not want to just throw them in the trash. I wanted the stuff gone as soon as possible, did not want to look at it anymore!
Usually I take things to Office Depot but I do not like how they have to put it in their shredder by hand (and consequently go through all my papers – what if something falls on the ground??). This was great, everything went into a large bin and then went into the truck and I could watch it get shredded on the little camera.
It was $ 99 to get all my stuff shredded, and that was about six copy paper boxes. That is the minimum price and I think I could have shredded a lot more for the same price if I had the stuff to shred. I was so happy not to have to lug the stuff around, that they came to my house, were fast and friendly.
I do not think I will need them again for while, because it will take me a long time to amass that much stuff to shred. They do have scheduled pick up services but it seems like it is more oriented towards businesses. I might look into it, though, because all those bank statements pile up and I won’t put them in the trash and I won’t take them to Office Depot either.
