Very solid Jamaican takeout(although their are a few chairs for dining in). I’ve had the oxtails, the brown stew chicken, and the curry goat. I always get the large combo which comes with rice and your choice of cabbage or plantains but I always ask for cabbage and plantains. The portions are very generous when you get the large size. It’s not Kersmon but it is without a doubt some of the best Jamaican food in Delray.

Came here to get my oxtail fix! I’m still trying to figure out what grocery stores sell oxtails in SOFLO so I can cook at home. But I will say that I was 100% satisfied with the food served here. The Jerk Chicken was fall off the bone good, the sides we ordered were plantains, rice & peas, and cabbage– all good. We left with full bellies and leftovers. This is a pretty small establishment, nothing fancy, with about 3 or 4 small tables. You can sit down and eat inside or simply get your food to go.

This food was excellent, but I left here hungry TWICE. I am a very small girl and I weigh 100 pounds… there is no reason that I should leave a place hungry. The first day I ordered the Oxtail. It wasn’t served with a lunch portion; so I ordered the medium size. It was good, but I was starving after finishing everything. I really did enjoy the very little meat that I tasted; so the next day I tried the Brown Stew Chicken lunch special. This was possibly even better than the oxtail, but again, I was starving. I also don’t see anything so amazing about the service. I almost felt as if they didn’t want my business. The woman seemed incredibly sad. I told them how I loved supporting the local businesses in the neighborhood(hence my second visit in a row) and the older woman handed me a bunch of business cards and told me to hand them out to people I know. Unfortunately, I’m not planning to refer people here. Enjoy a few bites of meat, but plan to fill up on rice and beans and STILL have to stop at McDonald’s on the way home.

On the West side of Delray is «Sweets» Jamaican restaurant, full of ‘Floribbean’ culture. This was my first time having oxtail and curried goat. And all I can say is I’m hooked and I’ll be going back on a regular basis. Sampled the rice and beans, fried palatines, empanada-like little vegetarian and meat pocket sandwiches, stewed browned chicken, curried goat and, the most melt in your mouth-layers-of-flavor oxtail and of course one of Jamaica’s most famous dishes, jerk chicken(burned the heck out of my mouth!). Why is the restaurant called Sweets? Good reason t take a trip and find out. With a once-a-month outside fish fry, featuring music and a community block-party like atmosphere, Sweets was a hidden gem that I’m thrilled to have found.

If the food was seasoned with half as much attitude you get at the counter it still would be a piss poor meal. Go elsewhere. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

The food here is amazing! I’m from the Caribbean and therefore know what authentic island for tastes like. I had the brown stew chicken and the meat was so tender, falling right off the bone. My friend had the jerk chicken and it had that smoky jerk flavor. So tender and sweet! I will definitely be returning!

Best oxtail ever! The food is amazing, plentiful, and fresh. Sweetness and Christopher are wonderful hosts and we felt as if we were guests in their home. They were very gracious and are focused on high food quality. When I told them I couldn’t eat gluten, they immediately told me what I couldn’t eat and then made me something special that I could eat. All of this after their normal closing time on a Sunday night.

Authentic Jamaican Cuisine at great prices but why is there no stew peas on the menu?
