I like coming here from time to time for drinks, during the day, when it isn’t god awful hot as balls outside.
All of the employees are super nice and attentive. It’s always a lot of fun to come with a group of people and then go to the beach after or something. This place has a really great concept!

The girls in bikinis were odd, not super appealing. Poor service, took 15 min for a greet. The fish dip was fantastic! I want to go back just for that! Conch fritters were ok… Much better other places

Bartenders not very friendly. Crowd usually seems to be more of the tourist variety. Cool vibe with the sand and the cornhole games but unimpressed overall. Probably will not go back with so many other options of the ave.

The manager is rude and the ignorant! I would Be careful with my steady customers and show my positive face instead of being rude as hell

Came here to celebrate my sisters’s birthday with 2 more friends.
My first time here. I loved the environment, locations is great, bathroom a nice surprise.
2 friends came earlier and order the (delicious) fish dip + beers before happy hour.
I arrived with my sister at happy hour so my friends closed there tab because my sister was paying from that our bill.
Everything was kind «OK «because our server was being a little strange in her behavior with us: tried ignored us when called, didn’t understand my orders (Yes, I have an accent but the other server understood me perfect!). etc.
Finally, she came with the bill and said she was leaving if we could pay and, sure we did. BUT she included 15% because our friends didn’t give her ENOUGH TIP before so she decided included on this bill!!! HELLO???
And we had collect already her tip! And my friend gave her the money because she didn’t pay attention that the server had already give herself a tip on the bill!
Everything was great, celebrating mine and sister’s birthday and this girl = Veronica = almost make this celebration a disaster. How someone that works as a server can be so mean?
And you should see her attitude.
But we are going back for sure .Our next server (Claire?) was amazing, funny, friendly and she really deserved a good tip.
Hope this Veronica learn something or change her carrier.
But I recommend the place. It is very nice.

Fun bar to day drink/​party. You have to be 21 to get in and they’re strict with ID’s, even during the day. The entire bar area is filled with sand. It’s pretty big, with a few seating areas, a large bar, cornhole, and a little water fountain thing. Food/​drinks are reasonably priced for it being on the beach in Delray. Overall good time every time I’ve been here.

This place is amazing! It’s a place to get a little snack and an amazing drink. I had a Piña colada sort of drink and it was incredible. If you go there you need to have one of their smoothie drinks.

Came here last night (Saturday night) for the first time. I have to say it was pretty great. Every night they have some type of special & Saturday nights it’s a 48oz pitcher of your choice of alcohol & it was only 20 $. Great deal for some yummy drinks. The place is beach themed & is right on the beach. The place is sandy all around so it’s not the place to come dressy. It’s more of a bathing suit or casual attire for this place. They have good music playing & a lot of people dance. There is also corn hole to play & it was really fun playing with people. Definitely will come again.

Pros: Cool lookin place, great location, perfect vacation tiki bar feel, atmosphere all good. Staff friendly. Fun times.
Cons: The skimpy uniforms don’t do some of these female bartenders any justice. (Some, simply don’t have the figure, while others look like they’re 15). Not trying to be an A-​hole, just constructive criticism)
Drink prices are steep as well, but that’s expected: location, location.

The Lobster Roll is my Favorite it was very fresh and usually is, which is their signature dish. Tempura Shrimp Tacos are also delish. It’s great to sit outside but we didn’t last night because of the wind. We started with the steamers, Gorgonzola Chips drizzled with balsamic glaze which I highly recommend sharing with a group and the peel and eat shrimp are always a fresh and a hit with us. My friends from NY enjoyed themselves as much as we could with the Red Sox memorabilia JK! The band came on at 9:30 Monday’s are Reggae night.

I love the whole idea of this place!!! Great atmosphere, good service, bomb ass food and drinks!!! I mean killer food! So great for brunch with the squad too! Ha! Overall an awesome place! Lots of fun!

Fun spot right on the beach. Large selection of drinks, beer and food. Reasonable prices. Fun atmosphere. Huge bar, tables and sofas. Standing room only most often though as it gets packed. Great anytime, especially weekend nights and afternoons. Very diverse crowd. Would be five star if more room.

Was pretty disappointed with the service. The barlady that served me looked and acted like she hated her job, which I found nuts because she wears a bikini and serves drinks for a living, can’t be all that bad, right!?! Unfriendly. Had a chicken ceasar, which wasn’t terrible but not great. However, I did meet some great people and enjoyed the Mojitos! Perhaps if the service was a little more upbeat and friendly, since it is a beach bar, I wouldn’t feel so short changed.

Horrible service. Watered down drinks. Waitresses rather drink and chat amongst them selves. Chips and salsa Were Stale!

Sandbar is a great spot for outdoor drinks and food. The peel & eat shrimp, hummus, conch fritters, and salsa are all very good. The fish dip there is good too, I just wish it came with jalapenos. The only downside is this place isn’t cheap. Go for happy hour — that’s your best bet. Half off apps and drink specials. It’s a fun spot and a place to definitely check out if you haven’t yet. They also have cornhole set up and the ring on a string game (does it even have a proper name?). There are lots of tables, lots of bar space, couches and adirondack chairs. During the summer I like going for a frozen rum runner after a hot day at delray beach. I wouldn’t suggest going here when it’s rainy as there isn’t any cover, but on a clear or just overcast day, perfect spot to hang.

Beautiful space at night sand ocean (even. If it’s a little corner of your world.) look east and you can smell the ocean good for old people (no walkers, that would be hard but not impossible) And young! (not little kids) peel and eat shrimp always good get the pound if you can 16.00 good seasoning

Part of the Boston’s family — Boston’s on the Beach and 50 Ocean are situated next to them, Sandbar is a cool cabana-​themed hangout when you need a break from the beach across the street, and want to grab a couple of beers, shots, or tropical drinks. It can come off as a little touristy simply because of its location on A1A, and that is also reflected in the price.
But it’s a fun place to chill if you’re wanting a nice beach hangout.

Super place to get a drink by the beach and party it up with the 20 somethings! The location, literally a few steps across the street from the beach, is perfect for gearing down or winding up on the weekend. To gear down, perhaps from a day of fun in the sun, look for a table closest to the beach side. The music is less loud, more of an ocean breeze, and a better view for bikini (uhhh people) watching. To wind up, grab you a seat near the DJ, shake that tailfeather (that’s right I went there lol), mingle, and play a game of Cornhole.
To go along with the cool scenery, the drinks were good and priced reasonably considering the location. Cocktails generally run from $ 8-​$ 11. During my two visits, I did not order any food. I have heard (so take this with a grain of salt) that the food is hit or miss. I did glance at the menu and «bar food» immediately jogged through my mind.
But my 5 star rating is focused on the excellent location and party atmosphere. If you are nearby on the beach during the day, Sandbar is a definite must to check out. Like I said above, awesome place to chill out or pump it up heading into the evening/​night.
The décor is reminiscent of the name Sandbar. Sand on the floor under a Tiki Bar setting. Waitresses are all bikini clad blending in to the ocean side scene (I’m using the word «blending» loosely here lol). I found the waitresses to be nice and efficient the two times I visited. When looking back on my two visits, I can’t speak of any real negatives.
So if you are on Delray Beach during the day, stop in Sandbar and turn up or even turn it down!

This is my second visit here, with both visits in the afternoon and during the work week. The drinks are cold and the food is okay. The most important part is the feeling of being on vacation.
I listened to tropical music under a large tiki hut. I typically stick with beer, but this place has many tropical drinks to choose from. They have two large TV’s with sports on.
The barkeepers did an okay job of checking in on me and the others at the bar. I did have to flag them down initially as they walked by three times with no acknowledgement, but service improved after that. They also charged me for a more expensive beer, which they fixed after I pointed it out to them. You’d be well served to monitor your tab.
This place is not in a hurry. The vibe is relaxed, at least in the afternoon hours. I can’t yet speak to the evening hours.
I’ll certainly return. I enjoy feeling like I’m on vacation, and this place gets it right in that respect.

Cute outdoor bar in a great location with terrible parking, mediocre drinks, food and service. They have a cornhole game which is nice so you don’t sit at the table the whole time you’re there. They need more games to play. Dart board? Ring toss?
The crowd is young and they play techno music but some nights, they play 90’s rock.
The fish dip and peel and eat shrimp are pretty good. Other stuff are not.
Service isn’t very good. The waitresses mostly seem like you’re bothering them and rarely check on you. They get the extra star for location and the laid back outdoorsy décor.
