Project Mate (Bar) will introduce to existing and potential consumers of Mate a superior quality product, known as META MATE communicating the custom of drinking Mate not only as a personal health benefit, but as an overall positive social experience to all that participate in its consumption.

History

Established in 2011.

Co-​founder, Daniele Flores has been a mate drinker since her childhood. In her native town in Brazil the custom of consuming mate is focall within the «gaucho» culture & the bonds formed while sharing in the experience remain strong throughout one’s lifetime. Her schoolmate, Fabricio do Canto currently residing in Berlin, opened a mate bar with his wife Kritika, the concept focused around a new brand of leaves known as META MATE. The opportunity arose for the tradition they practiced far from home, to be shared with the German and North American markets by bringing them the highest quality, freshest and best tasting yerba mate. Co-​Founder, Jonathan Delgado has worked within the Brazilian community for over 15 years and immediately recognized the health potential and positive energy that mate gives and has become focused on spreading the message of this powerful plant across the world.

So many changes have happened in 2016 at Project Maté Bar, mainly the relocation and expansion of our shop. We have continued our growth by ramping up our direct to customer online sales and an ever growing distribution network of nationwide resellers. We invite you to check our calendar of monthly events continuously being tailored for the community to participate and share this larger more accommodating space, conveniently located only 2 blocks north of Atlantic Avenue.
