Palm Beach Gym

This is a great gym that has been around for ever. Lots of equipment and a no «show» type of place. No drama and no kids running around getting dressed up to work out. The equipment is clean and the staff is friendly. Its been a great place to work out over the years.

I joined this gym a couple of months ago and love it. The price is great and everyone is really nice. It’s a smaller gym but honestly has everything you could need, including classes, and it doesn’t get overly crowded. I’m really happy with it!

I just finished a 3 month period at the PBG. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and always there for you. The equipment includes weights, just about any machine you may want and the classes cover just about every level and muscle you wish to use. The other perk is that you can make new friends or stay within yourself for better focus; in other words, a very accommodating clientele.

For whatever reason, I decided to give the gym a 2^nd chance… thinking the guy I dealt with at the counter when I first went in might just be the bad seed of the place and I was right.

Awesome staff. All the equipment you need. No frills, and little extras (which is the only reason for 4 stars v 5 stars), but it’s got a great location & gets the job done in terms of exercise.

Pretty good gym and they recently lowered their prices. This gym used to be very expensive for what you got but about 6 – 12 months ago they lowered their prices and I joined the gym. They have everything you need, no fancy equipment but the staff is great and the location is perfect. I enjoy working out there.

I visit this area every year on vacation, we rent a house in delray every year. Our place does not have a good gym, so this year I decided to venture out and check out another local gym. Palm beach gym was the first to come up on google search, and after seeing their virtual tour, it seemed like a gym I would enjoy. I was even more excited to see a 7 day pass window on their website, so I entered my email address, name and phone number and began the waiting game, expecting a pass to come in that day so I could use it right away. Nope, so I waited, and I finally received an email 3 days later, two days before I was set to head back home. No hard feelings, I thought, I’ll just use it anyways, for the little time I have left. I pulled in and there was no parking, but I thought, hey, I’m on vacation, what’s the rush. I drove around four times and finally found a spot for the gym (most spaces are reserved for other shops). I walked in and greeted the older man at the desk and told him I had signed up for a free pass on their website (I failed to mention the snails pace with which it arrived, because after all, I was on vacation and in a good mood). He then had a very sly smile on and said ‘well, do you live here? In the area?” And I said «no, we rent a house here every year for vacation», and he said «well the pass is just for residents». So then I decided to hell with the good attitude, and told the guy that they should probably indicate that on their website along with the fact that it takes 72 hours for a response for the pass anyways. He proceeded to argue with me, pulled up the website and realized there was no such indicator, and proceeded to stand there emotionless. I decided I would not enjoy it here, and said thanks and he said you’re welcome and I walked out. I don’t care if it was free, I would have paid for the entry fee, but he didn’t even give me that option, basically telling me he did not want me in their gym. I will never go back here, and based on their crappy customer service attitude alone, would not recommend this to anyone in the area. Yuck!
