32 East

We’ve been coming to 32 East since it opened, and have always had a wonderful choice of cocktails and menu selections. However on our recent visit, all has changed. No more specialty cocktails, only flavored liquors, and a bartender with a bad attitude.
Our waiter Jude was okay, not overly attentive, just okay. The menu was limited, down right, boring. Nothing was appealing. We ordered, and the food was even less appealing.
My lettuce wedge was wilted and old, 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half, and a couple pieces of crumbled bacon, dressing was bland. Our tacos were no better, meat was so tough, we couldn’t chew. I don’t believe in sending food back, so we questioned our waiter, about the changes. Possibly a new chef or new owners. No, was his reply, nothing has changed.
But it has, sad to say, the menu is limited and boring, the service, okay, the food a total disappointment.
We will not be back

I just want to tell you how much we loved our server Alona. Of course when you walk in and see Thalia greeting and showing you to your table — how could anyone be anything but happy seeing her sweet self… then Alona came over and she was the best. What a lovely lady — we want her to take care of us from now on. My sister had a friend visiting from Ohio — had never been to 32 before. She absolutely was wowed by her dinner and our service.
It was a wonderful evening — food, service — Thank you for everything — I know when something is great it starts at the top. Thank you Butch and John and your exceptional staff.

My favorite restaurant in Delray Beach and we have lots of choices these days.
Great ambiance, comfortable and good lighting. It is like being in New York City to me and I like that. Very active and comfortable bar at the front. I have not been to the new upper level but will in the future.
Geat food. Doesn’t matter what you choose, it will be top shelf and quickly served by great waiters. The whole experience is very cool. I always take folks from out of town to 32 EAST first for dinner.
It’s just terrific.

Enjoyed a delicious rack of lamb last night. Noticed the menu changes every day. Definitely a expensive date! Well worth the visit!

This wasn’t our first visit to 32 East but this time was exceptional…
We had a top notch dining experience and could not recommend it more highly… the service was impeccable and the cocktails, wine and food were fabulous.

Excellent steakhouse! I order the tacos with pork belly and the ribeye. The tacos were amazing. They were like Asian fusion, and the ribeye was in its perfect point. I always order medium, but some restaurants don’t get it. This steak was perfect. Our server was Samantha was the best I’ve ever had. She was checking our table constantly and she was the one who recommended the tacos. You should check it out.

Sat at the bar, John took care of us… every drink, glass of wine and meal was AMAZING. Service was friendly. Busy but not over crowded. Really a great experience!

For the last two years we have celebrated Valentine’s Day with a large group of friends at 32 East. We really enjoy it and the food and service is excellent. We highly recommend 32 East to everyone.

I hate writing negative reviews and honestly wish I didn’t feel compelled to write this one. We have been to this restaurant several times over many years and have always enjoyed it. This last time was not a pleasant experience, and what happened since is what has motivated me to write this review about 6 weeks after our visit.
We arrived early and were told they were running on time, no problem, we found seats at the bar and enjoyed our cocktails and even an appetizer. We were seated a bit after the time of our reservation, but that was fine.
Basically we found our server to be abrupt, disinterested, inattentive, and hard to find. When we ordered, my GF asked if she could substitute a side (Potatoes au gratin to brussels sprouts) and she was told she couldn’t. It caused her to change her order from a filet to a chicken dish ($ 15 less on the menu), but that was fine. We had to find him asked three time for bread and he finally plunked it down without a word or apology and walked away. Never asked how our meals were. We are genuinely nice and polite to servers (and everyone), but this guy was starting to annoy me… we couldn’t get him to come over and ask about coffee and dessert… so I did something I have never done and waved him over and told him I am disappointed in his lack of interest. The check came and I tipped him 15% (I usually tip at least 20%) and wrote on the bill «You should do better» just to make my point. It was honestly a very disappointing experience.
The next day I did something else I have never done… I went to the restaurant’s website, clicked on the contact me link, and wrote a complaint to management. I explained if it were my business, I would want to know if a long time customer had a bad experience. I didn’t post a Unilocal review… I could have of course.
A couple of days later, I received a response. It was not from a manager or owner, however, it was from the server himself! While he was polite, it was awkward and felt potentially confrontational to me. He focused on my comments about the brussel sprouts… not on his service (or lack thereof). I responded politely and said maybe he was having a bad night.
About a week later I received a phone call from a manager to follow up on my email. I told him I appreciated his call, I wasn’t looking for anything, but I wanted the restaurant to know. He apologized for the poor experience and said he would like to make it right. I told him it wasn’t necessary, he insisted and asked for my address. Again, it wasn’t necessary, but I gave it to him. My girlfriend and I thought it was very nice and we were guessing about what they were going to send us and said that was how it should have been handled and we would certainly go back to 32 East since they made the effort.
Now one month later, I have not received anything from the restaurant… and while we didn’t want anything from them in the first place, it just doesn’t feel like they handle these things well and therefore I felt compelled to put this out there.
And for the record, the food was good and the girl behind the bar was delightful.

Holy Bacon wrapped dates!!! This place was perfect and classy. The vibe was enjoyable. Not to loud not to quiet. For starters you gotta have the bacon wrapped whole date, topped with maple syrup. It comes garnished with nuts and blue cheese amazing all together. The flavors complement each other. My favorite main dish was the Mahi Mahi. A succulent juicy white fish along with coconut cream corn. This is a spicy and sweet palate so, if you can’t handle some fire be warned. :) side includes a refreshing apple salad. Enjoy!

Had a wonderful dinner at 32 east tonight. The menu changes everyday so I won’t try to say exactly what we had b. c you may never see it again… But it was amazing. We had a chicken entrée and a swordfish entrée. Amazing! I in particular had the swordfish and found it to be beyond delicious. It had some very fresh veggies and potatoes. The craft beer selection was excellent!

Was here for an event. Ate just about every single appetizer and dessert on the menu and all were amazing! Pricey but delicious!

Wonderful dining experience. The menu changes daily. We got to meet the chef. He’s very nice besides being highly talented. I highly recommend their salads and appetizers. The shrimp taco starters were perfect. I especially enjoyed all the fresh herbs they use in their dishes. The shrimp tacos had fresh mint and cilantro. The prosciutto wrapped figs and dates w goat cheese is another favorite. The breads are freshly baked on premises. The fish dish w mashed potatoes with mushrooms was delicious.

With an ever changing daily menu and exquisite flavors 32 east is always a yes. The food is consistently fresh. My favorite dish is their swordfish which tends to be hard to find and not usually cooked well, however the chef’s at 32 east always prepare it well. I also like their vegetables and mashed potatoes. My only complaint is the noise level and limited cocktail menu. If they modernized their cocktail menu I think they would attract more of a younger crowd.

Butch has done it, the successful recipe for an amazing restaurant and atmosphere. Staff is knowledgeable and fun to be around.
The bar staff knows how to show a great time.

This is a great place to go for a birthday. They will print a menu for your table with happy birthday and the persons name. The manager came over and wished my friend happy birthday and brought her a balloon. The waitress greeted the birthday girl by name. The staff sang to her and wrote on her dessert plate happy bday. This is great customer service!
Menu changes daily. Dishes are unique and full of flavor combinations. You can valet out front for $ 5. I Will def return.
