History

Established in 1981.

Since 1981, Kiddie Academy has provided a better way to care for and educate children and create stronger communities. It’s something we’re passionate about and why we’ve been an education-​based childcare leader for more than 30 years.

Meet the Business Owner

Zaheda R.

Business Owner

Zaheda Rahman, along with her husband Mahmudur, opened Kiddie Academy of Lewis Center in July 2006. Zaheda grew up in Bangladesh and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Psychology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the Long Island University, NY. Zaheda has over 15 years of experience working with young children and is certified in special education.

Terrah Rice is the Center Director. She has been working at Kiddie Academy of Lewis Center since 2008 as a Lead Teacher in the Infant Class room. Recently she became the Academy Director role. She has over 12 years of Professional experience in the areas of Early Childhood and Youth Development and Human Resources.
