History

Established in 2009.

Rev. Michael Kirkland has been a licensed Surety Bail Bond Agent since 2003 and founded the Ohio State Bail Bond Association. He believes the Ohio State Motto: «With God all Things are Possible!»

He developed «Rules & Laws» & «Ethics» courses and is an Authorized Provider of continuing education for the Ohio Dept. of Insurance, teaching licensed bail agents throughout the state.

After working nearly two years from the trunk of his car at the Delaware Municipal Court, a «full service» office was opened in 2011 at 73 N. Sandusky Street in Downtown Delaware.

Emergency Bail Bonds is affiliated with SMD & HLS Bonding Company in Columbus, Ohio… the largest and most reputable bonding firm in the Midwest… celebrating 50+ years of service to the Metro Columbus area!

Our business is based on Judeo-​Christian principles. We pray for our defendants and their families every day. Rev. Kirkland is an ordained Ukrainian Orthodox Priest for over 30 years and maintains a Chapel for daily prayer.

I’m married, the father of four sons with beautiful grandchildren and a minister for over 30 years!

I’m also «a parent just like you» and that’s very important!

When a son, daughter, spouse or good friend makes a mistake but being in jail is NOT the answer!

Anyone can be charged with a crime but a defendant needs to be out working (can’t have the job jeopardized) or looking for work, with the support and love of family & friends and working with an attorney to prepare the case.

My job is to assure you that, «regardless of any charges, your Loved One is INNOCENT until proven guilty» and that is a Constitutional Right!

A person can be indicted by a Grand Jury or accused of the most vile or heinous act; but, they are still «innocent until proven guilty» and that IS the law!

Many fine bail agents serve Delaware but I do things a little differently.
