Last evening, our party of four attended the Beer Tasting Dinner; it was a great time! We loved having The Lakefront Brewery rep and the Frontier Dining Room chef talk with us throughout the evening; both were personable and knowledgeable. We have enjoyed wine dinners for many years and now we love beer dinners!

The seafood buffet was ok. Some was good and some really bad. The clam chowder tasted like terrible paste, the worst I have ever had. The worst mussels also. Some shrimp was cooked right and some dried out. The breaded fish was ice cold. The custom pasta dish was good but the chef made up a very small portion that could fir in one hand. The salads, veggies and fruits were very fresh. But not impressed with the hot foods. My server asked if I will be back to try the prime rib buffet. I said no because I go to the Abbey for that and very happy with their entire buffet. This place has to step it up big time. The Geneva Ridge use to have an awesome buffet that could compete with the Abbey. Not this place. I wont be back. What a shame a nice restaurant and very clean.

I would highly recommend Frontier Restaurant. Our group of seven had the tuna tartar and wild mushroom fondue as appetizers and really enjoyed them. I ordered the breast of duck with the cranberry couscous and was very happy I did! Others had the New York strip, the filet and the pasta primavera. Everyone liked what they ordered. The service was very smooth and was not rushed. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would definitely eat here again.

Omg, the food was amazing. We decided to pass on the buffet and order the mussels, ribs and salmon. Soooo delicious! Gourmet food to be expected.

We celebrated our anniversary here. They had us set up with a great view of the lake. We both ordered salads to start which were good. The Caesar was a true Caesar salad. We made our own surf and turf with the lobster and filet. Both were delicious! The mashed potatoes were good with yummy chunks of potatoes. The steak was cooked perfect! The service was on point. We ended with the dark chocolate cream brûlée. It had a decadent taste! I recommend!

Husband and I stayed at Lake lawn resort for a long weekend first night there ate dinner in this restaurant would absolutely not go back to this restaurant for any other food the whole time we were there we ordered the lobster mac n which came out cold no lobster in the mac and cheese just a claw on top which was mealy and gross I literally spit it out the minute I tasted it. We told the waitress how bad it was the manager did come over and did not charge us for the dish but we also did not it any of it. We then ordered the prime rib special for dinner I don’t know what they served us it certainly wasn’t like any prime rib that I had ever had it was charbroiled on both sides it was small I would swear it was a steak it wasn’t bad tasting but it certainly wasn’t prime rib. We ate all the rest of our meals off site for the rest of the weekend.

This rating is based on a dinner my wife and I had on a Thursday night. Overall, this place is good. I didn’t think it was great but rather standard. Prices are fair and menu options were typical. Service started out slow but our server made up for it. I wish I could be more creative on my review, but there isn’t much to write home about. If you are staying at the Lake Lawn Resort then this place is somewhat unavoidable, so just go and check it out for yourself.

Overall, a very good choice. The breakfast buffet is killer: custom omelets, all kinds of fruit, waffles, eggs, blintzes and more in pretty-well-tended stations. The pasta primavera had good veggies and a winier, rather than cheesier, sauce(yea). I recommend the sweet and cheesy beer cheese soup. Angela, the waitress we had the most over several trips, was very caring and personable. My only qualm with this place is how long it takes to get your food(which seems based in the kitchen, not in the waitstaff). Do not come here if you are in even a moderate hurry. Apparently, they believe in the slow-food movement. While I admire this on one level, I would expect it to reflect more in the cuisine than it does. The speed to quality ratio seems a tad off.

This restaurant is consistently delicious. I’ve had their salmon, steak, the Friday seafood buffet, the Saturday prime rib buffet, and their pulled pork lunch sandwich. Everything is super fresh and tasty. This is the only restaurant I will go to for a buffet. The variety is well worth the cost. The salmon is served with rice and it is super moist and flakey. The buffets include many side salads, potatoes, veggies, multiple desserts, fried shrimp, fish, soup, you name it. Very filling, and will continue to go again and again. The service is also excellent. Lindsay has waited on me more than once, super attentive and friendly. I would recommend requesting her next time you eat here.

Four of us selected the Friday seafood buffet and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything that was supposed to be hot, was hot. The butterfly shrimp were a bit hit. We are fans of the Frontier Restaurant. The room is very nice and the views in the summer are fabulous.

Went here with my new bride and we we’re blown away. Kind of a sleepy, Monday night, but the service was outstanding! Our waiter, Antonio was very prompt and helpful. I had the Lobster pasta and she had the Salmon, both were very good. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to eat much of them because we filled up on the AMAZING3 cheese french onion soup! Really, get this if it’s offered that night, you’ll be very glad you did. Great experience!

Food is good but the service is atrocious. Wait staff just can’t get their act together. Advertised a bottle of wine from a good year and then brought a lesser year, same price without explanation for a worse year but same price. Then when asked about it she walked away wo opening the bottle? Left it for us to open? Dinner took two hours, 1;15 to get the food and it wasn’t crowded. Same story for breakfast, waitress disappeared for twenty minutes when we were ready for check. We almost left wo food bc of the delivery delay. Someone needs some training and better managers who watch fix what’s going on. Food is good but service turns B good to D food.

I don’t usually eat at «fancy» restaurants, so I don’t have much to compare this restaurant to. My wife and I decided to have a nice night out, so we choose this place. Mainly because we were staying in the resort, which is fascistic. I had the NY strip streak($ 34) and the wife had the lobster spaghetti($ 26). My steak was cook perfectly and was very juicy. The mashed potatoes and 2 onion rings were also good. The meal was good sized and more than filled me up. The wife said her lobster spaghetti was only OK. The staff is young, but very nice and attentive. I would not eat here multiple times a stay, but it is a nice and quiet place to have a good dinner. There is also a great view of the lake from pretty much all tables. And PS please leave the young children home.

Your service started out rocky with our server Angel. Our drinks were comped and We were about to leave after our salad. Then we got a new server-Lindsey. I’m glad we stayed. The Friday seafood buffet is very good. Our busboy Nathan was very sweet. Ryan was very attentive and apologetic. They turned around a bad experience. I’m glad I exercised patience.

Came here on a Wednesday evening in January, bitter cold outside. The Frontier is near the lake’s edge, so you have to walk a bit to get there inside the resort. It’s a lovely walk though! Lake Lawn Resort is gorgeous and so well-kept. I could just wander around this place forever! They have everything! The atmosphere, lighting, decorations, furniture, and place settings are all perfect here. It’s stately without being presumptuous. Elegant but not dated. We felt like we owned the restaurant because we were one of the few groups there! Our server was awesome — attentive but not bothersome. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food portions were HUGE! Even the soup and salad. Everything was delicious(I had the sirloin, my husband had the rib rack and my mother in law had the apple jack bread stuffed chicken). I wish we had room for dessert — we’ll be back just to try that sometime! I’d also love to come here during the day for breakfast or lunch, to see the lake(even if frozen) and experience those menus too. Fantastic!
