Jack In the Box

Best jack in the box ever. Love the southwestern chicken salad. The employers were super friendly and Jonathan was even willing to contribute change.

One of the best fast food breakfasts I have had in years. Instead of going to the normal coffee establishment across the street, I went through the drive through here. The service was friendly and prompt. My bacon, egg and cheese biscuit was amazing. Hot and fresh, the egg was a real fried egg – can’t get that elsewhere! The hash town was piping hot and crunchy. Yum and more yum.

One of my, now and then, guilty pleasures is Jack In The Box.
Got a craving for the Chipolti Chicken Sandwich Combo I saw in a TV ad.
Headed from PG to Del Rey Oaks gliding past the Monterey outlet. If I am going to have Jack in The Box, this outlet is the best on the Peninsula, IMO.
Every thing about this outlet beats the rest of them in this area. Of course the food is mostly the same by design but, service, cleanliness, etc., means a lot and these people do it right. Not really busy @ 3PM on a Monday and the young lady at the register welcomed us, took our order and made our change.
As we sat at a table we watched her come out from behind the counter and wipe down every table in the joint, rushing back to the register when the next customer came in. Wish we had noted her name, I’d certainly put it here.
BTW; The sandwich and fries were pretty darn good too.

Fast Food is Fast Food, I buy it only as a last resort to a hungry child… I DON“T EAT THIS!!!
but the place seems clean but the drive thru card reader is always broken. The two times I have been here it’s hard to understand the strong accent the employee working the window has… sorry I do try.
It’s not the best food but it’s a filler… I only order the fries by the way, had a burger here and my child used it for a Frisbee.
In my opinion I believe fast food should only be available 3 months out of the year… but that is my opinion (Health Reasons) and that I am tired of paying such high rates for medical when I am fit as a fiddle.

I was leaning back in a sun chair listening to a random stranger pluck away at his lute (yeah, I said lute) reading my Sunday paper with other Starbucks patrons when a good chunk of my paper flew out into the parking lot. Not feeling good about being a little litterbug, I chased after most of the paper and found myself halfway across the parking lot and up against the entrance of the local Jack In the Box.
I felt like I had a tipping point type of experience that led me to the sign that said Waffle Breakfast Sandwich. I don’t know what possessed me to order that sugar injected, ball of grease but I certainly didn’t regret it.
Disheveled mess of newspapers safely under my butt, I dug into my newfound vice and probably offended the hippy vegan granola munching locals. The tiny pockets of maple syrup contrasted so wonderfully with the salt from the sausage and halfway through the sandwich, I no longer cared about my gluten intolerance. Nope. The waffle sandwich was very similar to a chicken and waffle creation A&W chains in Thailand carry. Damn. Now I want that chicken and waffle sandwich from Thailand.
(Looks up flight plans to Bangkok…)

Good Vibes! Clean environment, modern building, efficient service, safe clientele, fast food, good quality products far superior to the Monterey location. Breakfast is delicious any time of day.

Quick eats while working! People are really nice and the food has always been good.

I never liked the idea of this strip mall since I grew up within a mile or two of its location. I though that putting a Jack in the Crack would take away from Hwy 68’s beauty. Saying that, most everyone I know (myself included) finds the 711 gas station, Starbucks, Jamba and the occasional Sourdough Jack (or in my case Spicy Chicken Sandwich) just irresistable.
They’ve never jacked me on my order at this location but the one on Abrego just screwed me harder than… I can’t think of anything appropriate right now last week and the service is always friendly.
