For over 40 years, The Ben Gordon Center has been the communities trusted choice for quality, confidential and comprehensive provider of mental health and substance abuse counseling for adults, teens, children, couples and families.

Our staff of caring professionals includes Board Certified Psychiatrists, Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Counselors, Substance Abuse Professionals as well as entire teams of specialist for children, teen’s adults and families.

Our team of specialist work with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Mood Disorders, ADHD, Trauma, Divorce, Greif and Loss, Stress, Couples issues, Marriage and Family Counseling, Divorce Medication, Psychological Testing and Evaluation, Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management.

All insurance plans are accepted as well as Medicaid, Medicare and sliding fees are available for those that qualify.

History

Established in 1968.

The Ben Gordon Center was founded in 1968 to provide mental health and substance abuse services for the Greater DeKalb County area. Today, the center employs over 70 professionals to meet the needs of Northwest Illinois.

The Ben Gordon Center is accredited by JCAHO and the Illinois Division of Mental Health and the Illinois Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

The Ben Gordon Center is a private nonprofit organization. Services are available at any of three convenient locations throughout DeKalb County.

The Ben Gordon Center accepts all insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare and offers a sliding fee scale for those that qualify.

The Ben Gordon Center also offers emergency and crisis intervention services on a walk in basis at our 12 Health Services Drive location or by calling ²⁴⁄₇ to 1−866-BGC-0111
