History

Established in 2014.

Thrifty Nifty is a family owned business. The idea of Thrifty Nifty came about when we wanted a clothing store that was affordable, inexpensive, and, most importantly, nearby. We thought… «What better place then near Welhouse Flooring and Sizzling Hut?!» Althought we don’t mind thrift saling in Madison, we often wished for something much closer to home. Especially in those winter months.

We are a family of 7, 2 thrifty adults/​4 wonderful children/​1 loving cat, and we know the struggles and hardships of having a family. We wanted to provide an affordable place for families and individuals to shop. We offer consignment options, accept donations, and offer store credit or cash for goods. Our items are about 90% below retail market value and are gently used and in great condition (consigned items are priced by the consignor). We have smaller furniture, antiques, kitchenware, clothing (for all ages), toys, and much, much more! You never know what you’ll find at a Thrift Store!

Business Owner

I am a professional Thrifter and have been for over 5 years. I am a mother of one beautiful little girl and step-​mother of 3 amazing children. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in nursing. I have an interest in becoming a surgical nurse.

My husband and I equally own Thrifty Nifty and manage our business together. I love working with my husband. He definitely makes work a lot of fun!

I love being outdoors, thrift store saling, reading, and spending time with my family. I love reading Science Books, Biographies, and Health Books.

I’ve been told that I am a very caring and loving person. I can’t help but to agree! I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their life. I’m a very open-​minded person.
