Wiring since age 12, audio studio assistant technician at Universal Recording, Chicago, at Devonshire Recording, Hollywood, at Chicago music production houses and at own studio 1990-present. College-educated (Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Music from DePaul University). Background with wiring at audio studios, video production houses and event staging. Pro sound engineer. Carries IL Residential Electrical Contractor’s license issued by the electrical inspector at the Village of Libertyville.

Tom K.
Business Owner
Tom is a licensed & insured electrical contractor, sound engineer and pro musician. He graduated DePaul University with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Music degrees, including studies analog and digital electronics.
Tom grew up learning handyman skills from his father. He worked at Universal Recording in Chicago and as an assistant technician at Devonshire Recording in LA. He’s been a sound engineer and session musician at pro music houses. Worldwide guitar credits. Halo 2. Film and TV.
In 2008, he passed the IL test for a residential electrician’s license with flying colors.
Tom is also a sound engineer and on-site technical director for setups and sound mixing of live corporate meetings and field recording. His knowledge of the NEC ensures that tech setups are safe and efficient.
Tom is also an A1 sound engineer of live broadcast programs in Chicago.
