Storm Tight Windows

This company is rude and unprofessional and should receive 0 stars. The company representative came to our home and gave us a 3 hour sales pitch. The sample of the product seemed to be of very good quality and he said all the right things. When it came to the discussion of price that is when he became downright rude and nasty. My husband and I told him that the price he was quoting was way outside our budget so he went through the standard salesman show of recalculating the price and then calling his manager to get a reduced price and work out a deal. Price quoted was still too much for us (My husband had done some research so we had an idea of approximately how much they should run). At this point we explained we had a budget we were working with and he was way over what we wanted to spend and in addition we were going to have two other companies come out and give us estimates to compare price and quality. That’s when he got angry and became extremely belligerent. He told us his windows and doors were the best and didn’t he just show us that the competition could not compare. And because we would not sign a contract with him immediately, and we were going to get more estimates we were making him out to be a liar and why had he wasted 3 hours with us. It’s one thing to vigorously sell your wares in an attempt to make a sale but there is no need to be rude and abusive to the customer. I’m sorry we did not call the police on this guy. We don’t invite people into our home to be insulted and be told how we should spend OUR money. After reading the other 3 reviews I am glad things worked out the way they did. Let the buyer beware of this company.

If I could give them a –stars I would.
Avoid them at all costs! The sales pitch maybe tempting, the product quality attractive but nothing is worth the aggravation you’ll go thru with this company. Installations are incomplete, I’m still waiting on screens from a order that’s over 2 years old. They missed deliveries, didn’t reply to calls & even tried to install the wrong doors. The saddest and worst part is that they have no accountability.

«I’m still waiting for your business to complete the work that was promised to me per my payment made in FULL to you all way back in January of 2014. While it is clear to see you have more time to tend to your FB than to your actual customers, completion of your actual work to your disgruntled customers is demanded. There are still drip edges and well-​chipped external portions of the house to be painted and I’ve yet to hear from you all in months. Once the city gave their approval of the work, you all went missing once again. The musical chair game with your employees is not a sufficient excuse. I came through on my end as a consumer, by paying in FULL, and bending over backwards with my own scheduled MULTIPLE times, and this „company“ has yet to come through on their end. I was promised substantially lower pricing on my sliding glass doors to make up for over a year’s worth of headaches, BY YOUR GM, and have not not heard back about that either. Consumers beware.»
I made my payment in full on January 1^st of 2014, it is now July 4^th of 2015. Avoid them at all costs.

The product is great but the management of the job was a total nightmare. Hired in November 2014, it’s June 21, 2015 and the job remains unfinished.
The nightmare: my original salesman disappeared, the company had to measure the job 3 times. Despite that they still arrived with 3 windows that were the wrong size so they had to board up part of my house leaving it unfinished for over a month. They then returned with the same wrong windows and tried to force them into my home by removing a support wall. Inspector caught that and rejected the job (I kept all the paperwork).
Promises to get back to me the same hour, same day, same week were never honored. The Project Manager and General Manager never once kept their word about anything at any point. They have an ‘emergency contact’ website (I have Code 99) which is a total sales gimmick. I’ve used it over 12 times at various stages of the contract and not once has anyone replied. Only an auto-​response, which promises a call within a day and that never happens.
Debris remains scattered all over my back yard, including the plywood used to board up my house. I’m missing the cranks to open and close the windows (the GM promised to deliver them 3 times). They damaged my roller blinds (after assuring me I didn’t need to remove them), and lost some of my blind hardware.
Each and every crew that came out to the job different … no continuity. The final door installation is the sloppiest handiwork I’ve ever paid for … I literally could have hired someone in a parking lot of a Home Depot and would have resulted in better craftsmanship. I’ve decided to hire someone else to come out and give me quotes on how they could make it look better because dealing with Storm Tight Windows to fix it would just further my nightmare.
I absolutely would not buy from this company ever again, which is a shame because I’m not done renovating or adding on to my home and I’ll need to find another vendor who can match the style and materials.
