DONTGOTHERE!!! Crooks! I went in to get an MRI. They did not tell me beforehand that they have a closed MRI. I couldn’t fit in it so i couldn’t get the MRI done… the Tech told me I could get my refund. Angie told me they can only accept but their billing dept is the only one that can reimburse… i call everyday and everyday its a different story… the billing mgr. is out, she’s on the phone, she’s in a meeting… all I keep hearing is Odalys the billing mgr. relaying messages that she understands and will get back to me… she never called once! When i called one of the many times she finally came to the phone and told me she would do her best to get me a check no later than Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. If their calls are recorded like they say, they should hear her tell me that! I document every conversation date and time and write down exactly what is said to me. I have no reason to lie on anyone! that was on Friday… today is Tuesday and now all of a sudden my matter is in another dept. When i asked for that dept’s number i was told by Stephanie that they can not provide that information and the matter is out of their hands. Can you believe this!!! Its been a week! I still don’t have my money… I have NEVER ever ever been dealt with like this at any business I have gone to. I paid $ 295.00 for a service up front that I did NOT even receive… i had to leave without my money… every front desk rep that I talked to apologized and said they totally agree with me but they can’t do anything… its up to the managers and what they decide. So I guess they decide to be crooked. I called my insurance company and complained and they too also agree with me, i have also contacted an attorney and they advised me, My next attempt is to contact the news. This is wrong on every level! I’m so angry and appalled by such behavior!

Unethical billing practices. Bait and switch tactics. Rude CFO and billing department. Stay away! I brought my «minor» child in for acupuncture. The doctor on staff at the time, Dr. Hammer, told me he would reduce the fee since acupuncture was not covered by insurance and cost $ 150.00 a treatment. Treatments were supposed to cost $ 75.00/ea which I paid at the end of each visit. The billing department would not have it! They insisted I pay full price despite discussions and emails Dr. Hammer said he sent them. Dr. Hammer left for LA and prior to his leaving he assured me that all was taken care of. Dr. Hammer like most of the doctors in this practice left. Shortly after he left several doctors left that practice. Says much when your doctors are leaving in droves. Shortly after Dr. Hammer left the billing dept continued with their aggressive billing and collection practices. Whenever my husband or I called to discuss the matter with billing we were told someone would call us back. We waited and instead of calling back they sent our account to collections and reported my «minor» child to the credit bureaus. In another situation I had issues with my hip. I called to see if any of the doctors dealt with hip issues. I was told Dr. Sahai did as a matter of fact I was told he was a fantastic hip surgeon so I scheduled an appt. After I arrived for my appt, and waited over an hour I met with Sahai who looked at the films of my hip. He then said«this is not my area but I have a doctor who works on the hip». Here was the bait and switch. He saw me knowing he was working out of his scope of training all so he could bill my medicare for an exam he should not have conducted. During the exam he evaluated my neck, his area of expertise. He aggressively insisted that I needed surgery on my neck. He covered himself for the billing here. Last issue was my right to review my medical records under the HIPAA law. This practice refused to allow me to review my records with their HIPAA officer. They insisted that I had to sit with a doctor to review my records. This so they could bill insurance for a visit. I was concerned about what this practice was writing about me in my medical records. Under the HIPAA law«ALL» patients have a right to review their medical records with a trained HIPAA staff member. That person is usually never the doctor for obvious reasons. Some woman who claimed to be their CFO called me after 9pm one evening to tell me she would send me my records but that she would not allow anyone other than a doctor to sit with me to review my records. It’s questionable if this practice is even HIPAA compliant. i have no vested interest in writing this review. People should be made aware of potential issues like this. I felt compelled by the unprofessional administration telling me I was harassing their staff because I called several times to discuss this issue amicably. There was no need for Dr. Hammer to lie to me about what he claimed he did to resolve the matter. The billing department would not return our calls. Whenever we got a hold of someone in billing they refused to discuss the bill with us and instead they told us they would call us back. Our next step is to file a complaint with a governing agency and to consult with an attorney. These are ALL unethical business practices that should be investigated. We are responsible people that pay our bills in a timely fashion. Issues like this, unethical business practices like this, place unnecessary stress on our lives. Beware on every level!!!

It should if also stated, I am making a payment of $ 150.00, NOT the balance due. Was this ALSO heard upon your review? My bank credited my dispute per our agreement!

My first appointment was in their plantation office with Dr. Foltz. He saw me within 10 minutes of arrival and spent almost an hour with me explaining everything. He had me go over the weekend for an MRI so that he could see me immediately the following week. My second appointment with Dr. Foltz was also great. He saw me right away, spent about a half hour explaining the problem and sent me on my way with instructions to do physical therapy and gave me a dose of steroids to alleviate my symptoms. Two weeks later I get a call from their Boca office wanting to make a follow up appointment with one of their doctors in Deerfield. I told them I was seeing Dr. Foltz, to which they replied, «Not anymore! He’s no longer affiliated with us so we are moving you to Dr. Sahai.». I made an appointment with Dr. Sahai. My appointment time was at 2:00pm. At 3:30 they finally called me back into the office. They were«really sorry about the wait». At 4:00 the doctor finally came in, and again, apoligized about the wait. I then needed to start all over explaining my symptoms and my treatment to date. He wanted me scheduled for physical therapy and to send me to Dr. Burroughs for an injection. This time I made a 9:00 am, first appointment with Dr. Burroughs so I would not have to wait. I arrived at 8:45 and was the first appointment there. I was the first appointment to sign on the list at the desk. An hour later they called me back and then had me sit for another half hour for the doctor. I was agitated and told the girl as much. She then lied and told me that there were appointments ahead of me that ended up taking longer than expected. I told her that was a load of bull because I was the first appointment and the first arrival. She said if I wanted I could talk to the office manager, which she never sent to see me. Dr. Burroughs then needed to examine me and then schedule me for an injection(each of these exams is costing me a co-pay). Now I was scheduled for an appointment on a Tuesday afternoon because that is the only thing available. 48 hours ahead of time I needed to get to an appointment for work the next day so I rescheduled for the following Tuesday, same time. I called a few hours ahead of time and she told me she didn’t have me for an appointment. I was agitated and told her I needed to get in, but knew that if she squeezed me in I would end up waiting for hours, so I told her to just schedule me for the following week, same time. She said she couldn’t because this was Dr. Burroughs’ last day and a new doctor would be starting. She didn’t have any idea when she could schedule me in and asked me to hold. After 13 minutes the call disconnected. I called back, and after 3 tries to get through because their lines were busy, I was placed on hold again for 15 minutes. She asked if I could come Wednesday, and I told her I couldn’t. She then scheduled me for Thursday. I told her that was fine. An hour later she called back to say that Thursday wouldn’t work and that she scheduled me for Wednesday.(ugh). I canceled my appointments and went on Wednesday. At the appointment I showed up 15 minutes early. I waited for a half hour after my appointment time and was brought into the treatment room. There I waited another half hour because, I was told, the prep girl went to lunch!!! Finally, she came back and the procedure was completed. Dr. Burroughs was lovely and did a fine job, but I can understand why he left and why Dr. Foltz left. Their office staff is completely incompetent!
