My family and I hired this firm for a simple probate matter after the death of our parents. After six weeks of not hearing back on the status of our case, I phoned our lawyer, Sheela Papol. Without any provocation she was rude, argumentative and highly unprofessional. I was merely asking what legal steps had taken place, if any, in the six weeks and she over-​reacted and talked down to me like I was a child. In following weeks there still was no progress, at all, all the while we had to pay maintenance, property taxes and other expenses on our parents home that we couldn’t legally sell until this probate went through. Several attempts to either move things along or confirm any effort on the part of Sheela and her firm, we decided to part ways with them as our legal counsel. After confirming with Sheela that we no longer wanted to continue working with them, she issued a bill charging us for phone calls and emails, some that never occurred, and is holding onto our mother’s will and other documents until we pay a remaining balance, which is above our initial pre-​paid fee. We have recordings of phone calls were Sheela flies off the handle if asked any question and is so completely unprofessional and rude it comes off as an act on her part for the benefit of her on-​looking coworkers. It’s clear Sheela is unstable, to say the least, and has no right working with clients or in the legal profession at all! If she knew how to do her job properly, this matter should have been put to rest and we could have moved on with our lives. Months have been lost and we have been paying for all costs to maintain the property all due to the utter incompetence of Kelly Lugio & Arcuri.
