Great customer service. The manager is really helpful, timely and courteous. The spaces are well organized. We got an overhead locker and had to climb a ladder to get our stuff in but it was no problem with just boxes. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Would rent from them again.

Can I say start by saying thank God for Mark?
Before Mark, the person running Extra Space was a complete (pardon my French) asshole. I would never call management for anything because I knew it would be a lost cause.
Last week, I had to call to discuss a concern. Mark picked up the phone. He is pleasant, cheerful and understanding. I’m glad Extra Space found the perfect person to help people with their storage needs.

I’ve used public storage before and this is much much better. The area is very clean and I love the fact that you can load or off load your stuff in a covered area. The staff is very friendly. Moved in 10−22−14 and is aware that the rates will increase in about 5 months… hoping not to there too long.

Very clean, courteous staff, good deal. I dealt with both Mark and Kyle while we rented a unit for a month between moves. They were both very accommodating and kind. They helped me take advantage of a great special and got a great deal. The facilities were clean and easy to use. I would definitely use this location (171 Milton) again if I need storage.

Awful customer service. The kid ignored me when I walked in and seemed bad-tempered. I swear he was high or something. Plenty of storage facility options. Skip this one.

This facility is very clean and the guys that work are very friendly and helpful. I’ve never used another facility, so I can’t compare, but overall I’m very satisfied.
My one issue is that they up their rates randomly and always by more 20%. It happens several times a year. You get a postcard saying that due to increases in the cost of everything ES is forced to raise its prices. This is understandable, but inflation for the rest of the us is about 3−4% per year. In truth, they draw you in with a low rate and then, once you’ve moved in and can’t think of going through the hassle of moving out again, they raise the rate. My last increase was for 25% after just three months. I can’t think of another business that could get away with this.

This location is very clean, easy to access your units and the staff are very helpful and nice.
Not directly pertaining to this location but (I think) ESS as a whole my one complaint would be that they offer for you to receive your invoice via email but their system sometimes fails and doesn’t send it. They have no answer for this and so far have not fixed the problem. They just send you a postcard saying your invoice is due but that doesn’t really help for someone who a) is trying to cut paper bills out of my life and b) wants to keep some sort of record of the bills I pay.
Other than that one issue they have been great!
