Shopping second-hand in Atlanta means you should be at Value Village, Goodwill, or another non-chain location; not Salvation Army. There are only two Salvation Army locations in metro Atlanta and both are super small. This one is the smallest and the saddest. I’ve given this place a bunch of chances and you know it’s bad when I’ve walked out every time questioning why I even bothered to stop. Most of the store is racks of unorganized clothes that don’t make me want to go through them while the other half is expensive furniture and glassware. Some of the pricing is absolutely laughable. I doubt they have much inventory turnaround as an $ 8 cup will surely sit on the shelf for an eternity. Many of the items have retail prices but second hand wear. It’s just pathetic. Save yourself some time and visit nearby Second Life, Way Out Thrift, or the Value Village on Memorial Dr.

For the record I do not care for Salvation Army stores– I don’t like the corporate look of their stores or the high prices– it is after all used stuff. But I was passing by this place the other day and decided to stop in. I found a cute set of 4 glasses that were very similar to a set I picked up at Goodwill a week or so prior. I paid $ 2.00 for 4 at Goodwill and the SA was charging $ 2.50 each! You can buy a box of glasses at HomeGoods, Target, etc. for $ 10 so why would anyone pay that for used.
