History

Established in 1971.

This business has always been locally owned. First brought to town by the Ehlerding Family. It was then bought by the Hawkins Brothers, Max and Roger in 1972. In 1984 Roger took over total ownership until October of 2004 when current owner Steve Christner took over.

We had 26 people at lunch time. The buffet was always full and food was piping hot. Soups were tasty and hot. I’m leaving with a full, satisfied stomach.

Went there the other night and they closed early with the door unlocked and sign on. When we asked why they said they ran out of cheese. Not impressed.

Delicious thin crust pizza. Nice variety of toppings and a flavorful sauce. They offer a lunch buffet, it is small, but the staff takes care to keep it filled. The salad bar is included in the lunch buffet. Great bread sticks with cheese dip. Desert pizza, pasta & sandwiches are also on the menu. Friendly staff & great service. Small town charm & locally owned.

I’ll start with the atmosphere. It’s getting better, but still feels like you’re in a cafeteria. When they added the booths it helped, but not enough. Now for the pizza. The toppings don’t go to the edge very often and there’s no raised crust around the circumference so you would think they could put the toppings at least within a half inch if not a quarter inch to the edge. Also, it’s way over priced for this economy in my belief.

A very good pizza. They still use the old ovens. For me this makes all the difference then with the friendly family atmosphere you just can’t beat it.

This pizza is different than others you might buy. It’s not like Little Ceasars, Pizza Hut or Dominos. It’s a skinny pizza with interesting cheese. The flavor is really good. What I don’t like is the skimpiness of cheese and sauce. Growing up, there was another Pizza King in another town which would have had a 5 for this very reason. They put lots of sauce and cheese on the pizza. Sadly, I have to ask for it. The pizza is pricy considering the skimpiness of cheese. If you like pepperoni, Theirs is the tastiest.

Salad bar is pretty weak. All they have is shredded iceberg lettuce. Only 3 or 4 kinds of pizza on the buffet. Cheese, weird shredded pepperoni, supreme, and hamburger.
