The mussels were delicious, and the vanilla panna cotta with kumquats was a refreshing change. We can’t wait to come back!

The pork sandwich was so good! The coconut cream pie though? To die for. It was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Had the occasion to go here a couple of weeks ago with friends. From start to finish, a great meal with solid service. Bartender makes a fantastic dirty martini and the food just got better and better. I’ll be back soon !

Today my friends took me to Pea Ridge for lunch. They have been before and I had been reading great reviews and was looking forward to the experience. We arrived and were immediately seated and helped with my broken leg. For an appetizer we shared the kale, artichoke and feta dip. It was delicious! I ordered the smoked trout bahn mi and it has the perfect amount of heat mixed with the delicious smoked trout. I will definitely will be returning and highly recommend this for a lunch or dinner date.

This is a gem of a place. So excited to have Pea Ridge in my neighborhood: excellent food, great service and very unpretentious. The addition of brunch on the weekends has been a fantastic addition to an already great menu. I did enjoy The Board while it lasted!

It may not look like much on the outside, but the food, beer, and ambience are fabulous. While the length of the beer list doesn’t compare to a lot of places, the choices they had were all good. I had the fish; my dad had the steak; we split mussels as an appetizer. All were cooked perfectly and tasted great. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Second visit. Recovering from a surgery and the kitchen did a purée of the day’s soup for me. What a life saver. Be back when I can have solid food and really dig in this menu.

I’ve passed by this place a few times and wondered just what it was because of it’s location. Very strange. I then read some reviews here on Unilocal and decided that I should give it a try and I’m glad I did! The food was much better than I had expected. I had the burger and my date had the trout bahn-mi. The burger was fantastic. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The chips were also amazing. I also sampled the trout bahn-mi and it was also very good. The soup of the day was mushroom and artichoke. My date was hoping that it would be as good as the one Houston’s used to make, but alas, it was good… but not as good as Houstons. So, for all local residents who were a fan of the now closed The Bishop, I suggest you try out this little gem. It’s not as fancy, but the food we had was delicious. Now, if you could only add the garlic aioli that The Bishop had as one of the dipping sauces for your chips I’d be in heaven.

Came here on a cold cold night. Were quickly seated and given hot water upon request. Service was quick. We ordered mussels to share. This dish was quite substantial. Very good size to share. I ordered the fried oyster sandwich and my husband had the rueben. Both were outstanding. The flavor was rich, the batter for my fried oyster was light. The coleslaw that accompanied the dish was plain looking but tangy and creamy but light. The crab & mushroom soup that my husband sub was rich. Full of mushrooms too. Will go back again to try other items on the menu.

What a nice surprise! I had the grilled and roasted veggie sandwich and the tomato and bleu cheese soup. Wow! Absolutely delightful. The ONLY reason I’m not giving them 5 stars is that they needed more waitstaff for a Friday lunch. But the atmosphere and food were exceptional — and very surprising given the location. Very close to work so I’ll be back soon.

Very pleasantly surprised. The appetizers were quite delicious, the service cordial, and food overall was excellent. I did end up with the wrong entrée, the restaurant was busy, I was hungry so I ate it without fuss. It was so good I didn’t say anything. Yum! I look forward to returning.

Small local joint, charming/cozy atmosphere. The food was moderately priced, portions were fair and the flavors were good. We arrived for an early dinner around 5pm, no problems sitting but by the time we left it was getting quite crowded. Plan on going back to try other menu items!

My Dad has been asking to go to this place since it opened. He’s tried several times and always found it so busy he couldn’t get in. As I was in town for a visit I took him for an early dinner and we both came away very happy with our experience. This is a small, neighborhood type place so seating is limited, but the food and service was outstanding. I had a Pea Ridge burger and house made chips and even writing the review later my mouth waters! Dad had a standard cheeseburger and could not contain his enthusiasm about how much he enjoyed his meal. Though we didn’t try it Pea Ridge has an extensive bar with what seemed a good beer selection and lots of the dessert options too. This is definite place I’ll bring him back too, highly recommended!

The food is excellent! I had the pork sandwich and yellow squash casserole. The yellow squash casserole was fantastic. Husband had the hanger steak and loved it. I tried his creole cream corn as well and it was also fantastic. Someone definitely knows what they are doing in the kitchen. We finished with chocolate ice box pie… also amazing, you have to try it. We also started with the house chips which were tasty too. Their specials change which is exciting(on Tuesday). It was very hot in the restaurant. They clearly have some issues with their AC. Price point is a little high. We spent $ 50 and had water to drink. We will return though because the food was so good, it will just be more of a special night out than casual night out place. Great service, our hostess and waiter were super friendly!

Great family restaurant! At $ 18/person, we enjoyed appetizers, entrées, and desserts. For $ 5/person more we had cocktails too! Everything was phenomenal! To start the night off right, we selected the BOARD appetizer. A scrumptious selection of cheeses, pâtés, and fermented vegetables served with a crunchy, toasted baguette. Tons of flavor spread across warm soft fresh bread! What could be better!?! Next, we dined on a bowl of savory GAZPACHOSOUP, a wonderful blend of fresh summer vegetables, seasoned with fresh herbs and jalapeño peppers, then quickly chilled making the range of tangy flavors pop as they glide across your taste buds! This was quite refreshing and perfect for cleansing of the palette. For the entrées we chose the TURKEYREUBEN sandwich with a side of HOUSESALAD, then a bowl of SPRINGPEAS with a side of HOUSE-MADECHIPS. The peas are definitely worth sampling! The sandwich was just a different take on a standard affair but still very tasty. The house potato chips are crisp, fresh potatoes not heavily salted but with tons of grease from the vat! To top off the evening, we sampled two of the three desserts offered: BANANAPUDDING and PANNACOTTA. Omg! Definitely get the panna cotta! Amazing fresh cream flavor with a hint of fresh vanilla topped with caramelized peaches and toasted hazelnuts! Doesn’t that make your mouth water?!? So, so good! All-in-all, we enjoyed the whole affair. This is a great place to sit and relax inside, escaping the Georgia Summer heat while enjoying great food among good people and kind friends! Thanks RICH for being our bartender and great historical guide! You provided us with a perfect romantic night to celebrate the birthday while educating us on the historical significance of PEARIDGE’s name. We will be back!

I am going to drop down my stars temporarily. They have been open about two months now and there are still a few kinks to be worked out. Also, I’m not sure they are as kid-friendly as I first thought. The last two times I have been there with four kids I felt a little bit out of place. The person who greeted us sighed as we walked in the door, so I didn’t feel very welcome. This has happened twice now. Most recently i was informed that they prefer reservations for parties over 6. Apparently this is only done by phone, and I hadn’t seen this stated anywhere on their website, so now you know. There continues to be a vibe of stress among the employees when we visit, which I hoped would have dissipated by now. The food is still pretty solid, and unlike some other reviewers, I think the prices are on point. I think I’m going to take a break from Pea Ridge for the rest of the summer and see what they have to offer in the fall. I also think it may be a different experience if I don’t bring my family. Maybe one day I will get to find out.

Small portions and VERY overpriced. Decent service — but the brown butcher-paper tablecloth and paper napkin setting and atmosphere does not justify $ 16 for a small piece of fish and a few potatoes on a pretty bare plate. Most likely won’t be back. Too pricy. Good flavor and service, but way too skimpy on the portions. Plus, $ 8 for a salad that would hardly fill a cereal bowl? Better rethink all of that. Won’t last.

Great meal tonight! I had the burger pea ridge style with the homemade chips. The burger was great with an interesting zucchini relish and cheese sauce. We also got the nachos for the table and they were awesome with pulled pork, beans, coleslaw and jalapeños. Great, friendly service and love the neighborhood feel. Will definitely be back and excited to try brunch!
