I believe you have the potential to be who you desire to be within your heart. It takes courage to overcome mental and emotional hurdles that block our best intentions. Sometimes circumstances out of our control can cause us to develop values, beliefs and behaviors that are most often self-compromising. Eventually, coping mechanisms break down and problems arise.
Some degree of anxiety, sadness and anger are normal, however extreme emotion is a function of ones vulnerability. Together we can change maladaptive behaviors by strengthening your inner core, allowing you to choose how you want to be in the world.
I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, Spirituality, Codependency, Women’s Issues, Couples, Identity Formation, and creating an authentic, connected, and creative life through purpose and meaning.

After 18 years of working in the mental health field, it seemed like a natural progression for me to become a Psychotherapist. Over the years, I have witnessed the physiological effects of psychological pain on the faces of many beautiful people. It wasn’t until I had my own life crisis did I understand in depth how paralyzing negative life events could impact the mind, body and the soul.
I began my soul exploration at the Evergreen State College where I entered a program called Drawing a Life. We used various art forms to learn how to identify the unique events, situations and experiences that formed our own lives. I integrated all that I learned in undergrad with my more recent studies at The Georgia School of Professional Psychology where I graduated in 2008. I have since worked in a private practice setting under the supervision of Carole Smith
