Each service begins with a detailed inspection to determine the exact pest that we are treating for while also identifying the sources and conditions that may promote pest activity. Our highly skilled technicians will then use a targeted approach to controlling the pests with the safest and most effective products and methods available.

History

Established in 1995.

In 1983, I started working in the commercial pest control industry in Manhattan, NY. I’ve serviced facilities like The (former) World Trade Center, The New York Stock Exchange, Rockefeller Center, and The Waldorf-​Astoria Hotel among others. I became certified in 1990 to start my own pest control business after moving to Atlanta.

A lot has changed since then. Today, it’s more important than ever to protect our environment, while getting rid of all unwanted pests creeping around your home, office, restaurant, church, or other personal space. No matter what your concern, we’ll use a proven 3-​step process to remedy your problem:

Vinny Ferguson has been working in the Pest Control industry since 1983, and is highly trained in both residential and commercial pest control techniques. He believes that a primary focus of On Target Pest Control is to provide exceptional customer service, while using the safest and most effective materials and methods, to make for a pest free home or business. We prefer to utilize natural and botanical materials for our treatments whenever possible, as to better protect our customers, our technicians, and the environment.

We have been using On Target for almost two years now for a very nasty, disgusting and persistent cockroach problem. I love that the solution they use is naturally based. I have a toddler and do not worry about the effects of the product on her health. The pests in our house have been drastically minimized and we have On Target to thank for that.
The staff is just great. Karen is amazing and always timely on scheduling our appointments. I have nothing but good things to say about Vinny. He is professional, thorough, attentive and friendly. I would recommend this business to anyone.

I can’t thank these people enough! Karen rocks on the phone and setting up schedules, especially mine since I work in Sandy Springs and live in Summerhill and rely on MARTA to get me around the traffic. They are always on time, super speedy, amazing, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with.
Vinnie is great, too. We always have a good time chatting and just loved Sade (my kitty that just passed away).
Their prices are incredibly reasonable and I’m perfectly happy to spend $ 300 a year on quarterly inspections. If I have any issues between each inspection, it’s no cost for them to come and get rid of what is inevitably the dreaded ants.
I would definitely say that they are a topnotch service and refer them to anyone!!!

Vinny is so helpful and does a great job. We have been using on target for over a year now and they have eliminated any pests we had. I was in need of an extermination of my rental home and with being new to the area looked on Unilocal and found this company. It was almost 5:00pm and they answered very pleasantly willing to help me with their 1st appointment for the next morning. I would recommend them to any one. Very curious and I felt like I had no problem leaving the technician in my home to do his job. Service was successful.

Vinny is awesome! He came today for our initial visit and made sure I understood everything about the products that would be used– plant based and not toxic to humans or pets, which is a huge plus for me since I don’t like using chemicals. He sat with me after he went through the house inside and out to go over the service agreement and answer all the questions I had. The price is reasonable and the service was great! If you need a pest control company, don’t go to the big box companies that are overpriced with untrained technicians, call Vinny and he will take care of you!

Great service at a great price. Vinny was very professional and knowledgeable. He even honored an online coupon that I didn’t have. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because he was 30 minutes late & didn’t call to let me know. He did apologize for being late. Other than that, I’m very pleased with the service.

We recently switched to On Target because we wanted more environmentally friendly pest control for our home. Vinny came out and did a very thorough inspection and serviced our home that day. He was really personable and explained everything he was doing and the products he was using. I feel comfortable knowing that the products On Target uses are safer for us, our pets, and our baby, as well as the environment. In addition to that, On Target is EFFECTIVE! I’ve noticed fewer roaches in our house this summer than the prior years (only a couple here and there, and they are usually dead). I’m terrified of them, so this is a huge thumbs up for me. On Target is also affordable — we pay the same for our quarterly service with On Target as we did with our prior service provider. They will even come out for free in between quarterly service if you notice a problem. Switching to On Target was the best decision for our family!

We had On Target Pest Control out to our house today. I am so happy we called them. They were quick, thorough, and inexpensive. I was also able to use a Unilocal coupon for 25 dollars off of my service, no questions asked. I just bought the Unilocal coupon, handed it to him when he came, and the transaction was done.
Also, the specialist that came out (I think his name was Vinny based on some of these other posts) was super helpful. He walked me through the basics of spraying and baiting (i had never used the service before). He also answered all of my questions knowledgeably.
We will definitely call him back for our next service– he was quick, professional, and thorough!

Vinny with On Target tPest Control got rid of my cockroaches when nobody else could. After replacing a kitchen wall and all the kitchen cabinets, I was killing 30+ cockroaches every single day. They weren’t scared of me, wouldn’t run, and it made, me feel like I was the guest in the cockroaches’ home. Vinnie has a good product and stands by his work. After his first visit I saw a massive improvement, same with the second, and after the third I saw no more cockroaches at all… and this was treating a severe infestation. It’s nice to have my house back.

We started using On Target Pest Control about two months ago for our rental townhome. Mr. Vinny did an outstanding job of treating our ongoing pest problem. Our family moved into the home last summer and quickly found that the previous tenants left us with an unfortunate roach problem. After about 4.5 months of working unsuccessfully with Bug Busters, we searched for another pest control company. We’re extremely happy that we found On Target! Mr. Vinny came out to our home the same day that we called. We really appreciated his professionalism and knowledge of his trade. He was able to educate us on what kind of roach we were dealing with, and his plan of action for treatment. In addition, he was extremely kind and very patient with us, answering all of our questions about our pest problem. We learned more in that 1 hour visit with Mr. Vinny than we had in all the previous visits from Bug Busters over the past four months! I was very appreciate to Mr. Vinny for his help because He made me feel confident that he’d be able to eliminate our pest problem and make our home safe for our family.

I contracted with On Target several years ago to treat my 90 year old home and I found Vinny to be responsive, on time and very knowledgeable. I reached the point that I trusted him so completely, that I left a key so Vinny could come and go while I was at work to do his quarterly treatments. This year I sold my home and moved into an apartment, but I wanted Vinny to know how much I appreciated him and to thank him for years of quality service.

Great job. After moving into a beautiful home that was also residence to what even an exterminator called ALOT of spiders we called on target and they showed up early on the scheduled day. I don’t know what issues the rest of you folks had with Vinnie, but he did a great job for us. He was on time, knowledgeable and friendly. He also came out on a Saturday. Most of the other exterminators around town brushed us off. On Target is also a locally-​owned business and Vinnie has 30 years in the biz. Can’t say enough good things and I am confident he did his best to make it right if a problem arose. If you’ve got bug problems, please call this guy. He’s the best.

I hate to say it but I have to agree with the review HS left. Our experience with Vinnie began in December 2010. We noticed some droppings in our crawl space. A friend in another nearby intown neighborhood was in the process of using Vinnie for some mice/​rat problems and gave us his contact information. We met with him and paid him $ 1000 for entrapment and exclusion which really involved him setting out traps and returning to get the buggers in the traps (twice) and putting cement in crevices around the space where it was likely the guys were getting in. We questioned the price in hindsight but wanted to get the problem resolved quickly so went with him. While what he did took care of our problem the issues we experienced with him were not the «what’s» but the «hows»: poor follow-​up. We had to track him down it seemd (vs. him proactively reaching out to us) to ensure the process and the project stayed on track and was completed per the timeframe we discussed. Also, as part of our contract/​payment he agreed to spray for cockroaches for us (what he referred to as Smoky Browns) and that never, ever happened. I was not wanting to spin my wheels anymore so did not pursue the matter. I thought a better businessman would have followed up and been more responsive. Turns out my friend had a very similar experience with him and was very apologetic about referring him to us. Nice guy when you first meet him. He needs to work on follow-​up and his customer service skills after he gets paid.

We’ve had Vinny coming to our house about 3 years now and NOT once have we had a problem. He’s always been courteous, relatively on time and takes in account that we have 3 small dogs so he knows we don’t want chemicals sprayed. We’ve had less insect problems using On Target than we had using Terminex. We’ve never had the problems that H.S. has mentioned in his review. I like that Vinny is a small business owner and I’m a strong supporter of local business owners versus the big companies like Terminex that just really make you a number.

I had the worst experience with Vinnie Ferguson and On Target Pest Control. It was truly horrible and caused oodles of stress. Mr. Ferguson did not keep scheduled appointments, did not initiate the completion of work that he had been paid for, mislead us on the services that he was to render and did a horrendous job when he finally completed the work. Does it really take two months and a half months to complete a job for which you have been paid? For this company, it does. And, when there are options available shouldn’t they be presented to the home owner for their decision? For this company, Mr. Ferguson thinks he knows best, so he doesn’t need to ask what the home owner wants. We tried to be nice, patient and understanding, but we were totally ignored and abused. Take this simple advice… find another pest control company! Customer beware!
