We just moved to Oakhurst and were really excited to have a dry cleaner a block from our house, so I was really disappointed last week when I picked up the first items I dropped off for them. I had them clean a white suit and 2 pillow cases, which were almost twice as expensive as Sig Samuals(where we have gone fore years). When I picked them up only 1 of the pillow cases was clean, and my suit was totally wrinkled. I also noticed a bunch of black HUMANHAIRS on my suit(some PUBIC). When I pointed it out the the lady she said«You can buy a roller to take those off». I almost fell over. I asked«Didn’t I just pay out to clean this suit, which included cleaning off hairs and then pressing it?» I should also add that I am bald and my wife is blond, and these were clearly not on the suit when I dropped it off. She grabbed a lint roller and started to clean the suit, but I stopped her and said it didn’t even look pressed, so it was going to have to be redone, like the pillow case. Today when I went to pick it up the suit had no hairs, and was pressed, but had a large dirt smudge across the front of the coat. When I pointed it out she shook her head no. and I told her not to worry about it since everything I brought has come back dirtier than when I dropped it off. I will NEVER go back.

All I can say is, yikes! There should be a sign that reads, ‘enter at your own risk.’ It’s dark, dingy and a bit unkept. I couldn’t help but feel the washers and dryers maybe the same. I left with my dirty clothes.

I have not used the dry cleaning services here, but if I had a need, I would. I have been here many times, and it has never been over crowded. There are a lot of washers and dryers, and there have always been machines available with different quantity sizes, including some industrial sized ones that can wash up to 5 loads! There are tables that you can use for folding, quarter machines, detergent available for purchase, basket carts, cable tv, free wifi, and chairs to sit in while you wait. The staff has always been helpful with offering suggestions. On two separate occasions, staff has helped me take my huge hampers to the car. It is also surrounded by restaurants and other shops to kill time. It is open throughout the week but doesn’t stay open in the late hours. I think it closes by 7ish.

These guys are great! Today I came home to what looked like a scene from The Exorcist… my dog had gotten sick aaallll ooovver the bedroom, including my expensive down featherbed. The tag said«Spot clean only — do not machine wash or dry clean.» Oakhurst Laundry is just up the street, so I called them and asked what I could do. The owner gave a recommendation that sounded like it was based on years of experience. When I came into the shop, he helped me run the industrial-sized machine(I’ve never used a laundromat before). I had to take my dog to the vet before the cycle would be over, and the owner kindly volunteered to run my featherbed through an extra rinse cycle, put it in the drier for me, and flipped it regularly inside the drier so it would dry evenly. Now the featherbed is good as new! The owner really went above and beyond the call of duty and I will definitely use this business for all of my dry cleaning needs in the future. Thank you!

It was in a panic I walked into the Oakhurst laundry. My washing machine broke and I had to do laundry ASAP. So I saw that they were open and close to home so I took the change, laundry in hand. Well I’ll say good stuff first, cause I am a glass is half full kind of girl. They had machines, and they had dryers; if you needed soap or change you could get that. They had a television with cable and a few plastic lawn chairs. The machines function. The less appealing qualities, it was not very clean. Not many machines and most had wet wash sitting in it for some time. I was there for 30 minutes. I was afraid to put my laundry bag on the floor. Some of the machines had quite a bit of slime on top and powder inside the tub. If you like being said hello, or goodbye or can I help you if you look confused like I did for a minute… then you are going to the wrong place. Oh I almost forgot, they do have their hours posted along with the last hour you can start wash. …there are however many yummy places to grab food or have coffee close by!

I went here to do laundry, and was not really pleased with the experience. First, I could not figure out what that gross smell was. Then, their dryers totally sucked and I could not get my clothes dry. They only dry in five minute intervals, so it was just never going to happen. They may be fine for dry cleaning, but I would not go here for laundry again.

Good cleaners. Cheap. Open saturday and sunday(since it’s also a laudromat)… which is nice for drop offs and pickups. No same day service. But it’s a solid cleaners with good prices and nice folks.
