We are a retail building materials store. We sell discounted but new all wood kitchen cabinets and mahogany doors. We also sell dent and scratch and surplus doors, windows, shingles, etc at prices that can’t be beat. HGTV even loves us and has featured us in several of their shows and still comes into our store on a regular basis.

History

Established in 2007.

The Meade family has been in the millwork business for over 50 years and over 3 generations. Harold Meade began selling lumber for a local hardware store in Gate City, VA in 1950. He then started the Harold Meade Company in 1960 in Bulls Gap, TN. He was the first to put kitchen cabinets (on consignment because the company didn’t really believe it would work) into what was then a small three store lumberyard called Lowe’s. Of course, his business began to grow. Then his son, Larry Meade, came on board in 1964 and helped his father run the company as President.

In 2000, Larry Meade moved to Atlanta and «semi-​retired», but began brokering salvage and surplus building materials using his many contacts in the building materials business. He had found his calling and convinced his children to give it a try. Nichole Meade became a full-​time building materials broker after 12 years as a VP in an advertising agency in Atlanta. And in July 2007, Nichole Meade decided to open the store.
