Great doctor… been seeing him over the last 15 years…2 bad feet. one shoulder… left knee. one ugly right ankle… all fixed. No pain and ready to go again… It appears the guy above me needs to see a lot of other doctors… Just sayin

I agree that Dr. Bircoll’s bedside manner is a little abrupt, but he is an excellent surgeon.
I have had total hip replacement in both of my hips in 2008 & 2009. I went on several active vacations with hiking and horseback riding and could barely walk when I returned home. He correctly diagnosed problems with only plain film Xrays. I am now pain free and very satisfied.
FYI-​it is really important that all orthopedic surgery patients continue to engage in regular exercise including strength training.

In my opinion this is one of the worst doctors in Atlanta.
Unconcerned, uncaring and doesn’t seem to listen to patients… at least this patient.

I have been going to Resurgens for over 10 years and when Drs. Madeley and Van Der Ryt owned the practice it was excellent.
I went to this guy for what I thought was tennis elbow. Problem is I was sure, and I told this clown, that the problem was in my neck/​shoulder area. He flat out told me it was not possible even though I knew better. After physical therapy there was no improvement so an MRI was done. There was no tennis elbow but this joker offered to do surgery anyway. SURGERY for no obvious reason… nice.
When he offered surgery I ran like hell and at the advice of a good friend I went to her Chiropractor. He diagnosed a pinched nerve… in my neck/​shoulder area.
Gosh I seem to recall this clown telling me that it was impossible. As a matter of fact Bircoll refused to MRI the neck shoulder area.
After just 18 visits to the chiropractor I have almost zero pain and my elbow is pretty much better.
In my opinion Bircoll is a shyster and nothing more… he is however happy to offer oxycodone, hydrocodone and other narcotics freely… I surmise it is to mask his poor medical skills.
Listen to your body and if the doctor isn’t helping… dump ‘em and seek treatment elsewhere… just not here.
