Feather Baby is one of the top designer brands of organic baby clothes sold only in the most fashionable boutiques around the world. Launched in 2010, the new location in Atlanta is our first stand-​alone store where shoppers can select from the full Feather Baby collection, including the exquisite hand-​smocked dress recently spotted on Hollywood mega-​star Matthew McConaughey’s baby daughter, Vida. With dozens of high end boutiques already carrying the line in hip neighborhoods of Los Angeles and New York, McConaughey isn’t the only A-​list celebrity to dress his kid in Feather Baby since it launched five years ago. Last year, paparazzi photographed Shiloh, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, in one of the company’s signature periwinkle dresses.

Business Owner

Designer Sude Dellinger Peta launched Feather Baby in 2006 soon after giving birth to triplets. A year later, she moved her entire family to Lima, Peru’s bustling capital, where she carefully researched small, fair-​trade, family-​operated factories and learned the ins-​and-​outs of textiles, literally from the farm to the sewing table. That was a gutsy move for a girl from Huntsville who doesn’t speak Spanish. Sude’s southern roots help explain her unique name (her Appalachian grandmother’s) as well as Feather Baby’s traditional appeal (hand-​smocking, frilly details). Until recently, she spent her adult years in NYC where first she worked as a high-​profile marketer for Sony Music, jet-​setting around the world with international superstars Ricky Martin and Julio Iglesias, then later as an entrepreneur building a mini-​chain of neighborhood boutiques specializing in women’s sportswear. She is thrilled to be in Atlanta, focused on her passions: children, fashion and sustainability
