Established in 2008.

Curt Moore has over 20 years professional experience in the horse training industry and is an expert in Cowboy Mounted Shooting. He is available for individual, group lessons and clinics.

Curt Moore started mounted shooting in 2000 after seeing a mounted shooting event take place in Arizona not long after the sport originated… He quickly rose to the top! His first Overall Win was in 2002 at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City Mounted Shooting Expo. 2012 Curt was Cimarron Eliminator World Champion and 2013 he was Cimarron Eliminator Reserve World Champion…

He has been teaching and training mounted shooting full time for the past 15 years and has many students that have won National and World titles along the way, proving his ability as a trainer.

Horsemanship has been key. In order to become a winner you and your horse must understand each other. Curt teaches the fundamentals as he challenges, building confidence, and increasing skill.

Curt Moore is cowboy to the core. He started competing in mounted shooting in 2000 and has worked full time in the horse industry since 1996. After rising to the top of the sport, and moving from Arizona to Texas, Curt has finally been able to realize another dream… opening the Shootfire Ranch. Envisioned as the ultimate cowboy mounted shooting training experience for both horse and rider.
