Specialties

Circus Camp is a day-​camp experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment. Camper age begins at 5 years old and includes teens. Any level of physical development & skill is welcomed.

History

Established in 1992.

Starting with a single location, we now offer circus skills classes and camps at locations throughout the Atlanta area. During a typical summer we teach about 1500 children how to be a circus star!

Meet the Business Owner

Tim and Samantha D.

Business Owner

The Circus Camp Directors are Samantha & Tim Dwyer. Combined they have over 35 years in the children’s and family entertainment business.

Samantha is a certified USAG Gymnastics Instructor who introduces tumbling and creative movement to pre-​schoolers and daycares throughout Atlanta with TumbleBus Atlanta, a gym that comes to your school or home. Tim hangs around the Circus Camp office and does business stuff (He’s really good at it).

One of the best camps in town. My Girls went a few weeks ago loved and are excited be being going again for another week. The Counselors were awesome, the skills they learned were fantastic they are still practicing weeks later and show at the end was the best part the performance was really well put together a lot of fun and gave the children a chance to show what they had learned the end to a perfect week.

We started sending our son to Circus Camp for a week or two perhaps 12 years ago. It was always his favorite camping experience of the summer and when he was given the opportunity to be a counselor-​in-​training he jumped at it and has never looked back. It’s a great environment for kids. They can take part in whatever aspect of the circus performance they like without any competitive pressure. If a kid doesn’t want to learn to ride a unicycle or the Spanish web, it’s no big deal. He or she can get into clowning. The Decatur facility has improved since the move from Sams Street, and the staff is great with little ones.
