I told my cousin yesterday that I wanted some really good wings and that most of the places now have wings that are so small they are more like quail wings than buffalo wings. She suggested we try American Deli on Covington Hwy… now Im not sure what the American Deli brand are because there are several of them around town so maybe they are franchises but the quality of food seem to be different between locations. Our cashier was Nicole HInes… I liked here… she made eye contact, spoke clearly and didnt get an attitude when my cousin kept asking her what the various combos consisted of. Most known for their buffalo wings, but they also sell sandwiches, chicken or steak phillys and they also sell salads. These were full size wings, and they were fried to the right crispness. This location sits next to a RaceTrack gas station, and in a shopping center that it shares space with a T-Mobile and Computer repair. There are probably 10 parking spaces in the whole«complex» which makes it a tight fit for getting in and out of. Im sure they are somewhere they can afford their commercial rents… but IJS… they are dead wrong for having such a busy location in such a small shopping complex. Two tables that seat four each are located inside the deli in case you want to eat in… but most people took their orders with them to go. Avg pricing. I spent approx $ 7 for 10 wings, fries and a drink and it was 54 cents for the refill on the drink. there were also some signs up to adversitse wing specials, for example if you bought a 50 piece wing, you got a gallon of tea or lemonade for $ 1. Also a sign that indicated that they prepared large wing orders for parties. Quick service, wings were prepared to order so they werent re-dropped in grease and fried hard… and the fries we actually really good also. Mos def would go again… but its 45 minutes from my house, so only when Im out in Decatur
